Review:

Taeyeon, oh Taeyeon. This broke my heart a little (okay, a lot) when reading, but in the best of ways. This is a brilliant, spot-on, heart-wrenching character study of Taeyeon. This was one of the first fics I read in soshi fandom, and I didn't quite understand it back then because I didn't know enough about them and especially not Taeyeon. I still feel like I don't know much about Taeyeon, but as I read this I just feel the lines punching at my chest until my heart threatens to give.


Excerpt:

(Stephanie had become Tiffany, Soonkyu had become Sunny and Juhyun had become Seohyun months ago but Taeyeon still lets it slip sometimes.

“My name’s still Stephanie, Taeyeon. You don’t have to correct yourself all the time.”

But Taeyeon does correct herself, and without fail.

How odd though, she thinks; she hasn’t changed her name, but feels like she’s changed the most.)
