Chapter 4

Tiffany paced to arrange the flowers in her mother’s flower shop as she waited for the customers on the next morning. Nothing had changed since her mother passed away. Roses were still beautiful, lilies were still gorgeous & orchids still looked calm with its purple & white colors. She caressed the flowers tenderly with teary-eyes. All these lovely flowers reminded her of her beloved mother. Yunseo always loved flowers. Tiffany blinked her eyes a few times to fight back the tears which were ready to flow down.

“Mom, I promise to continue running your flower shop until I find somebody who likes flowers like you & then let her take over the shop. I can’t go to a convent without knowing your beloved shop would do well.” She whispered to herself.

“Tiffany. How nice to see you again.” The voice of Mrs. Jung Haeun, one of her mother’s loyal customers, had taken her back to reality.

“Good morning, Mrs. Jung. Nice to see you, too. What can I do for you this morning?” Tiffany greeted her customer, with a wide smile on her face.

“Well, I need one bouquet of roses for a birthday. It’s for my daughter.”

Tiffany moved closer & smiled gently, “I’ll give you the best roses.”

“Thank you, dear. You’re so kind.”

Tiffany smiled again, happily & added more softly, “I’ll give you a birthday card, too. Free of charges. What color do you want, Mrs. Jung?”

“I’m not sure.” Opening her kardashian kollection chain hobo purse, she took out a photo of her daughter, Jessica Jung Sooyeon.

Tiffany looked at the picture & found out that Mrs. Jung’s daughter was graceful, slim in her early twenties, “I think soft blue roses mixed with white roses will suit her the best.”

“I believe you, Tiffany. Thank you.”

Tiffany smiled again. She took a bunch of blue & white roses & started to make a bouquet. Mrs. Jung watched her & said, “You have the talent as Yunseo. It’s a big lost in our heart when she left us.” Mrs. Jung let out a deep breath.

Tiffany felt her eyes getting hot. Every time she remembered her mother, she always felt emotionally about her. Mrs. Jung glanced at her teary eyes, feeling guilty, “I’m sorry, Tiffany.”

Tiffany shook her head, trying hard to keep on her smile, “No. I’m glad my mother has many friends who won’t forget her. I thank you for being my mother’s good friend.”

Mrs. Jung glanced at Tiffany again, letting out a sigh again secretly, “So, you are taking over your mother’s business now, Tiff?”

Tiffany nodded, without stopping her work to make a flower arrangement, “I love flowers, too. Mom taught me to know & love flowers since I was a little girl. Do you remember I’ve been helping mom since I was eight?”

“Yes, I do remember you.”

Both of them smiled as they remembered the sweet memories from the past.

“What is your plan now, Tiff?”

Tiffany turned her head, knitting her eyebrows puzzlingly.

“I mean your plan for your future. Why are you still single?”

Tiffany smiled bitterly, “I don’t have any interests in finding love.” However, Jaejoong’s handsome face with his eyes staring at her deeply in hatred flashed into her mind. Why couldn't she forget his face since they were engaged in a big fight last night? She couldn’t even close her eyes to sleep as she couldn’t get him out of her mind until the sun rose & when his insulting words echoed in her mind, she quickly shook her head, “Love isn’t in my list for the future, Mrs. Jung.”

Mrs. Jung patted her hand gently, “Don’t take it seriously, dear. Love will come into your life without you realizing it. You can’t fight it when it comes to you. Believe me. Love is the greatest gift from god.”

Tiffany stared at a bucket of fresh flowers blankly. Her mind thought about Jaejoong again. How she hated that man. Every thought about him made her heart burned in anger. She had to get her revenge for what he did to her.

“Tiffany.”

Tiffany whirled around & hoped her cheeks didn’t turn red. She was daydreaming about him again. How embarrassing, “Sorry, Mrs. Jung. What did you say?”

“I said don’t give up on a love life.”

Tiffany just smiled. She paused. How could she give up on a love life if she never had one in her whole life? The only man that caught her attention in her entire life made her emotion reach its highest peak. She couldn’t hide from him nor run away from him. Especially she couldn’t escape from the impact he had on her heart. Damn that man named Kim Jaejoong! Suddenly, she had an urge to strangle his neck.

Jaejoong rubbed his neck until the muscles relaxed & took in a deep breath. He hadn’t gotten enough sleep, accompanying his father in the hospital since last night, ‘Thanks to that !’ He cursed, under his breath. His mind wandered to the moments they had the fight at her house last night.

“Oh, god. What am I thinking of?” He hit his forehead & then buried his head under his hands. Taking in a deep breath, he convinced himself that he got to work. That woman had made his father lie in the ICU room right now. If the ambulance were late for a few minutes then his father could be…

“Damn that woman!” He cursed again. He needed to be alone to think. He had to make that Tiffany pay for what she did to his father & family.

“Think Jaejoong. Think of the best scenario to make her suffer.” He told himself.

She would be back. He knew it. Something in the way she looked at him & the way she said, had given him a hint that she had something in her mind to deal with his father & himself. He had to know what it is. However, his heart began to betray him. Why did he feel something weird, something strong burning inside his heart every time he looked at her? Was it because of her mesmerizing eyes? Was it because of her innocent look? Was it because the way she looked at him? He remembered their gaze locked for a few seconds & he felt a strong feeling winching in his heart. It seems like his heart was telling him there was something special about that girl, ‘Why did my heart forget about Sunny so quickly? Was it black magic?’ He wondered. One thing he was sure. He had a different feeling about her, a very different feeling compared to his ex-girlfriends & he didn’t know what that means, ‘We are enemies, right?’ His mind reminded him again.

Damn that girl anyway! His life was full of more trouble since yesterday he met her, “Face it, Jaejoong. She will create a big trouble in your life.” He muttered. His problem with Sunny & Yoochun wasn’t finished yet & now a new one had come.

A hot cup of coffee in his hand, Jaejoong stared down at the steam coming up from the cup. He had to plan his next step carefully. He had to make that lowly girl regret for what she did. He would make her plunge into the lowest point in her life & begged for mercy in the end. The question was, was he ready when the time comes? He quickly turned his head to see his computer. He clicked to open his secret file named Tiffany Hwang. He rubbed his face while reading some information about her.

“Tiffany Hwang Miyoung. Born in San Francisco, 1989.” He muttered, while scanning the confidential file. He stared at her photograph in dumbfounded. His eyes were immediately drawn to the face of a beautiful young woman. Tiffany gave her best smile, showing her perfect teeth. Wearing a easy cotton tyree aqua shirt, sh

Chapter 40: Tiffany is really a tease, playing Jaejoong along and won't say the three words he's longing to hear. And now it serves her right as she may lose him to death, or she may lose him anyway by becoming a nun in a last-ditch effort to bargain with God for his life. What a travesty! She could have given her answer positively much earlier and could have gone home and averted the meeting with the murderer. I think she's pregnant, but it's a surprise for her to start getting sick only after more than three months or so as a result of their night in Paris. Waiting for the sequel to read more about the foolish woman who is now distraught for dragging out giving Jae her answer... Actually, I won't mind a tragic ending but not at Jaejoong's expense, though I won't mind if Tiffany suffers for the rest of her life. She loses my sympathy by her dithering.

Chapter 30: I wonder how and when Jae's mother will confess that his father isn't Mr. Kim? Even then, the whole society will still recognize the two of them as first cousins and I believe in Korea first cousins aren't legally able to get married to each other? Or is it only social norms which forbid such unions? In our country, Burma, first cousins, if they descend from a brother and sister, can get married because of different fathers carrying different bloodlines, but it's a no-no for those descended from two brothers to ever get together. And even if a marriage takes place between first cousins coming from two brothers, society frowns on the union, and for scientific reasons too, their children will get double whammy of both good and bad genes. Their children, at least some of them, can turn into genuiuses or idiots, if they're unlucky. So, to break the problem of Jae and Tiffany, something must become undone. It's Mr. Kim's fault to keep silent about Tiffany's father being his twin, he could have at least hinted to her they can be very close relatives, so that Tiffany can guard herself against falling for Jae. So, it's the old man's job to find an acceptable solution. Waiting for an updates soon...
