Sleeping with the Enemy (Repost)Chapter 11
March had turned unexpectedly warm. The weather was mild. The sky was clear & still, she was in a foul mood. At ten o’clock in the morning, Tiffany presented herself to Jaejoong in his office. She was late for almost one hour. She didn’t know what he was going to say for her lateness. Bringing the document, she opened the door. He was seated in front of his computer screen & looked up in annoyance! His eyes glanced at his eco-drive 8700 stainless steel watch with link band, pouting his face.
“Good morning, Mr. Kim.”
“Jaejoong.” He said, telling her to call him by his name, “One thing you have to remember for your first lesson.” He paused, staring at her, “Never be late.” He said curtly.
“I’m sorry. I missed the bus so I have to wait for the next one.”
“Where’s your car?”
“I don’t have it anymore.” She whispered, fighting back her tears, ‘Damn this tears!’ She cursed herself. Why did she always feel like crying in front of him?
For a split second, Tiffany thought she caught a flash of emotion deep in Jaejoong’s eyes but then it was gone. He sighed, staring at her, “Next time I don’t want to know your reason. You do what I have told you.”
Her anger rose. Her chin lifted rebelliously, “Are you always a ridiculous person all the time? Can’t you believe me for once?” She surged to her feet. She threw her charlie tote green handbag at the chair in front of him.
“& I don’t like being told what to do. You’re not my boss & you’re not my father.”
“Then you’d better learn fast.”
She let out a big sigh of breath, closing her eyes for a second. It was hard to deal with Kim Jaejoong without involving her emotion. He always have something that made her anger rose quickly. She lifted her face up, challenging him in eye contact. Her eyes blazed in fury. Their eyes met in deeply emotion.
Slowly, Jaejoong lowered his eyes & said, “You look more than beautiful when you’re angry.”
She felt her cheeks getting hot beyond her control, ‘Damn!’ She muttered, under her breath. Why did her heart always betray her?
“You said that only to make me happy, right? I’m telling you, it’s not working.”
His face lifted up in disbelief, “Is that what you’re thinking of?” He remarked, “How do you look like when you’re in love, Tiffany?”
“You’ll never find out. Bastard!”
“Oh, yeah? Let’s find out how you would look like when we’re making love.”
She flinched. Anger flicked along her nerves again. She let a single tear fall down her cheeks but quickly wipe it away before he can see. He was stabbing her where she was most vulnerable. She hated being treated like a call girl or a e. Closing her eyes tightly, she said to herself, ‘Calm down, Tiffany. Don’t let him see your tears.’
Jaejoong shut his eyes & groaned.
“I came here to sign the document then I’ll go. I don’t want to waste time with this ridiculous conversation. You’re sick, Mr. Kim. I suggest you should consult your doctor soon.”
She was right. He was sick. He did have a problem & its name was Tiffany Hwang Miyoung. The woman was in his head, night & day & wasn’t that ridiculous? What did she have that made him crazy?
Jaejoong groaned again, & slumped back in his chair. He had behaved like a jerk & he knew it! Why? Because she
