Sleeping with the Enemy (Repost)Chapter 24
“Did you tell Kim? What did he say?” Yoochun grabbed Sunny’s arm as she walked past him.
“Take your hands off of me.”
However, he didn’t let go of her arm. He dragged her to the balcony, a bit far from the crowd. A gust of sea air swirled around her, whipping her mid-back length, dark brown hair across her face, making her shiver suddenly. She stared at him in frustration.
“What do you want?”
“I saw you talking to him, Sunny. He wants to take his responsibility, doesn’t he?” Yoochun pressed on. He had been waiting anxiously for Jaejoong to nod his head to take his responsibility upon Sunny’s baby so he can proceed to take Tiffany’s heart into his.
“That’s not true.”
“Then why were both of you smiling at each other & hugging?”
“You don’t understand.”
“Make me understand then.”
She stared at him in disbelief. Wiping her tears away, Sunny whispered, “He can’t be the father of my baby. We’ve never slept together. He’s a real gentleman. He didn’t want to take me before the wedding night.” “Bloody hell, I don’t believe it!” It was Yoochun’s swearing words that made Sunny thought something was terribly wrong.
“I don’t want to talk to you, Yoochun Oppa.”
As Sunny strode out of his sight, leaving him in awe, Yoochun leaned back on balcony railing & rubbed his hand across his forehead. Sunny had disappeared now & he was thinking alone. He let the silence weaved in & out of him until his thought became clearer. He could remember vividly the first time he had seen Sunny at the Christmas party last year. She had been waiting for Jaejoong in the lobby. He had thought she was stunning with her enchanting eyes & when he knew that she was Kim Jaejoong’s fiance, he had felt a burning fire in his chest that had quickly catch fire other places & had never diminished. He never stopped hating his big enemy, Kim Jaejoong.
Ever since then, the fire had raged out of control & he had been guarding himself against what went with it. He started to think about how he could steal Sunny from Jaejoong. He knew Jaejoong loved Sunny so much as he had asked her to marry him but why hadn’t Jaejoong accepted his love back into his life now?
Tiffany.
Yes, this was the only answer.
Yoochun stood & paced again. How could he separate them? Could he be able to do that? “I have to.” He gritted through his teeth.
“I would make them separate.” He swore, under his breath one more time.
The grand ballroom of Hilton was already packed to capacity when the master of ceremony was ready to announce the winner couple of the year. A band played a slow music & the dance floor was ready to be the place for the winner couple to have their first dance.
“Hey, do you think Jae Oppa will win?” Seohyun took a couple of glasses of wine from the tray of a passing waiter & gave one to Changmin.
Changmin smiled at her, “Thanks.”
After sipping his wine, he said, “I’m keeping my finger crossed.”
“Let’s sit next to him. I want to see his face when I .” She giggled.
They moved a little further into the crowd. Seohyun’s js boutique sleeveless sequined dress was navy & the material shimmered as the light of the ballroom caught it. A few men glanced over at her admiringly as she walked past but she was oblivious to them. Secretly, she was searching the crowd for her brother in the front row. She kept telling herself that she hoped he could be a winner this year because she couldn’t see him disappointment again. He had found a new love & the title of couple of the year would encourage him to ease his broken heart because of his previous girlfriends, especially Sunny Lee Sunkyu.
“There he is.” She said, to Changmin, pointing Jaejoong with her eyes, “Oppa.” She called, waving her hand. Jaejoong was standing up, waiting for Tiffany. His eyes rolled around the ballroom to look for her.
“Isn’t it wonderful if you can win the title, Oppa? I have a deep feeling that you will be the winner tonight with Miyoung.” Seohyun said excitedly, & then she hugged her brother.
“Thanks, but where is Miyoung? Have you seen her at the back?”
“No.”
“Where did she go? It has been gone for more than thirty minutes.” Jaejoong muttered, glancing at his fossil qualifier chronograph stainless steel watch again, “I’m going to look for her outside.” He stood up, “If
