Sleeping with the Enemy (Repost)Chapter 14
Tiffany sat down on the edge of the bed. She had a wonderful day out with Jaejoong today. She couldn’t stop smiling, thinking about the sweet moments that happened to them.
What did he think about her? She could see herself had changed into a new person & he had too, ‘Oh god, what had happened between us? We became a pair of new people.’ She wondered.
Didn’t he care what she thought?
Tiffany flopped back against the pillows. Of course he cared. She could see from his eyes. His eyes couldn’t tell a lie. Did he feel the same feelings as hers? ‘Oh god, what a mess.’ She thought desperately.
She sat up. There was only one thing to do. She had to stop this game before her heart got hurt. She had to stop him before she loses control of herself. She had to tell him that this ridiculous deal was off. No playing with their own feelings. It was dangerous. What if he was only pretending? If it were to happened then she would regret everything for the rest of her life. Pretending to be in love with Jaejoong wasn’t hard. He was smart, wonderful, handsome, kind, romantic, everything she had ever dreamed of, ever hoped & prayed for.
However, did he feel the same thing?
She sighed, shutting the sweet moments away. If only it was easy.
She had nothing special in her life, nothing that could make him notice her. She was childish, outspoken & bad-tempered but he was arrogant & snobbish too, but looked at him now! He had been a gentle, sweet & gorgeous person inside out. They wouldn’t make a great couple. They wouldn’t be what people always said, a match made in heaven.
Within eight days, their agreement would be over. She couldn’t go through with this. It was harder than she thought. She had to stop this. She shook her head but why didn’t she stop thinking about him? What about their sweet moments together? She closed her eyes. A sharp pain lanced just behind her eyes.
Tiffany rose to her feet. She opened the door slowly.
“Jae Oppa?” She called gently.
She walked towards the sofa as she didn’t hear any respond from him. She sighed deeply as she looked at him. His eyes were shut. He was sleeping peacefully with a little smile on the corner of his lips. His eyes were closed tightly, ‘He’s indeed a handsome man.’ She thought, smiling secretly. A gust of wind drew a strand of hair across his forehead.
Tiffany reached out & tossed it gently as she didn’t want to wake him up, ‘How does he feel sleeping on the hard sofa?’ She wondered. Jaejoong was sleeping on the sofa as Tiffany didn’t have another bed instead of hers & she didn’t have any spare mattress as well.
Sighing deeply, she shook her head. Her plan to wake him up had disappeared. She didn’t have a heart to break his peaceful dream.
Slowly, she went back to her bedroom, “It’s better to talk with him in the morning.” She murmured to herself. The day had started with soft breezes & bright sunshine. However, the heat was enervating. Tiffany woke up feeling hot & thirsty. Dragging her foot lazily, she went outside her bedroom & went into the kitchen to get a drink. A door near the kitchen was ajar & she could see Jaejoong lying on top of the sofa peacefully. She sighed. Stripping off her clothes, she used the shower in the bathroom to cool off, finding a towel in the cupboard on which to dry herself, ‘What time is it?’ She wondered. It had to be more than eight o’clock & what was he doing in the living room now?
He was still asleep. She stood between him & the sun so that his head was in the shadow, wondering how to wake him up. Gently or not.
‘Not.’ She thought, & smiled evilly.
She went back to the kitchen & took out one cold sprite can. She put the can against the bare skin of his cheeks.
“Argh.” He woke up with a start, sitting up a little & blinking at the darkness of his silhouette outlined by the sunrays.
“Serves you right, Oppa.”
His face became eager, his eyes brilliant & he opened his mouth to say something but he suddenly stopped. For a second, he just stared at Tiffany & slowly, he said, “You’re a sadist, woman.”
“What?” Tiffany hid her laugh. A smile curved on her lovely face as she looked at his dumbly face. She was about to speak but Jaejoong was quicker than her. He pulled her head down & stole a morning kiss from her, “Good morning.” He said, putting his hand on her shoulder.
‘Damn! He stole a kiss again.’ She said to herself. Biting her dark red lips, she made a quick move.
“Ouch.” He let her go once she put the cold sprite on his lap.
“I think you need a cold drink, Oppa.”
“I’m afraid you’re right.” He grinned, taking the sprite can from her hand.
She pouted prettily, “Of course I’m always right.”
“But it’s your fault.”
“What?” Tiffany put her hands on her waist, “Could you please explain to me how its my fault?”
“Who ask you to be so pretty this morning & smell really nice?” He replied, hiding his face behind the sprite can.
