Chapter 18

“What do you think about France?”

Tiffany looked at Jaejoong & smiled. They were in a quiet garden at the right side of the Hilton Hotel where the guests of the meeting were staying. It was still in the afternoon after short hours of lunch, shopping & preparation for tonight opening ceremony.

They strolled down, hand in hand, through the green huge park. It was spring & the flowers were alive along with the grassy field.

“Not bad. I like it, even the weather. The view here is beautiful, slightly different with Korea but I don’t like one thing here.”

Jaejoong raised his eyebrow, “What?”

She moved closer to him & whispered, “It’s too expensive here. I can’t afford it.”

He laughed suddenly. He shook his head & kept his grin on his face.

Tiffany’s smile faded away, “Do you think it’s funny?”

“It might sound funny but there income is higher than us. So, it makes sense if the living cost becomes high, too.”

“Mmm.” She said, “You know, I’m just thinking.”

“What?”

“Nothing.” She suddenly turned flush.

Jaejoong watched her blushing face & decided to , “Are you thinking of me? Are you thinking about us now?”

“How do you know?” She asked in surprises.

He grinned, “I know, sweetheart.”

She punched his arm playfully, “I don’t want to talk to you anymore.” Then she walked in front of him, leaving him behind.

He watched as a soft breeze blew her hair back from her lovely face. She put up her hand & pushed it away from her eyes. It was the simplest of natural actions but it somehow made his heart turn over. Closing his eyes, he thought suddenly, ‘I really do love her. Oh god, I really do love her.’ Their agreement would be expired soon & he had to find a way to continue their sweet romance. He would fight for her even though he had to fight with his own father.

“Fany.”

She stopped, turning around to look at him.

Jaejoong walked to her side & put his arm around her shoulders, “Forgive me.”

She looked at him in puzzlement, “For what?”

“For everything that I’ve done to you.” He said in a tender voice.

“I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“You know very well what I’m talking about. I was a jerk! I was...was angry with you & uttered some ridiculous things about you. I even treated you like a call girl. I’m so ashamed.”

Tiffany sighed & leaned her head against his shoulder, “Oh, I do forgive you.” But her face turned pale all of a sudden.

“Why do you look so sad all of a sudden?”

“I’m just worry about the future.” She said softly.

“Close your eyes & make a wish. God will hear your prayer.”

She nodded, looking deeply into his eyes in gratitude.

Jaejoong’s arms tightened around her. She’d never have to worry about anything again. Not ever. He would take care of her; he would cherish her & protect her with his own life as he promised during their lunch at the beach. Instead of their agreement, she believed his eyes were telling her the truth. Remembering their sweet moments, her cheeks flared with color.

There was silence between them. Was he serious or not? It was hard to tell. Jaejoong had always been the perfect gentleman since they started the agreement. She lifted her face up & met his eyes.

Jaejoong’s gaze moved over her & for a moment, lingered on her lips.

The look made Tiffany tremble inside.

Suddenly, she felt a big impact of two kids running into her legs.

“Sorry!” One of the little girl yelled.

Tiffany smiled. She let herself go from Jaejoong’s hug & kneeled down in front of the little twin girls.

“You’re having some fun here, aren’t you?”

The twin nodded with their cute grin.

“Could I join you?” Tiffany suddenly asked.

Jaejoong looked at Tiffany in surprises & then turned to watch those little girls. He chuckled.

“You can!” One of the girls shouted, “You have to catch us okay?!” Then they started to run, giggling loudly, “Okay!” Tiffany screamed out.

“Fany.”

Tiffany had already joined in on the fun, leaving Jaejoong behind. Jaejoong tucked his hands into his jeans pocket, grinning widely as he watched Tiffany & the twin spinning & running right & left, back & forth to catch each other. He shook his head as he couldn’t believe Tiffany was so cute with her innocent grin & screams.

Jaejoong smiled lovingly, staring at her with a deep emotion inside his heart. It was a big happiness & surprises to see the graceful motion of her body, the sweet smile on her face. He stood there like a statue, watching his love blankly with a silly grin on his handsome face. Then slowly he sat down on the grass, “Jaejoong Oppa?”

He was taken aback by the voice calling his name. He smiled as he looked at Tiffany who came towards him, “Finish having fun?”

She nodded with a grin, “You should join us. It’s really fun.” She said breathlessly, as she collapsed beside him, “Oh.”
