Nicole woke up to the light of the sun shining upon her eyes. It was still an early morning, beside her Hara was still sleeping peacefully. She got up from the bed and went to the bathroom. She stared at her reflection in the mirror and let out a long frustrated sigh. A piece of memory when she had an accident came to her mind again. She had lost her cousin in that tragic accident. But life decided to grant her second chance to live. No matter how much she wanted to be thankful, she couldn’t hide the empty feeling inside her and yet, she needs to pretend to be calm all the times.

A soft knock on the door pulled her back to reality as she hurriedly washed her face and opened the door.

“Are you sleep inside?” Hara rasped in a sleepy voice. She yawned and went inside. “So, are you going to have a date with him today?” she barely opened her eyes but still able to smile mischievously, her toothbrush hanging out the corner of .   

The smile on Nicole’s face disappeared in a flash. Another reason that made her grew uneasy all the times. Take it to the list.

Kim Jaejoong, he acted like a caring friend out of sudden. Visits her, calls her, brings her food and even want to go out with her today. Why someone that used to be cold and always ignore her presence being a caring person out of sudden? Did all these tragic things that happened to her make him pitied her?

“It’s not a date,” Nicole denied quickly.

“What it could be if it’s not a date,” Hara chuckled, rinsing the toothbrush before she washed her face.

Nicole sighed, leaning against the door as she watched her friend.

“Isn’t it your dream? Now when he noticed you why are you deny it?” Hara said again, now standing beside Nicole.

“It’s the past though,” Nicole hung her head low. Hara looked at her in confusion. Hara was right. Kim Jaejoong was her dream. The dream that she once wanted to come true. Shouldn’t she happy right now when he finally noticed her?

“I’m not saying that I forget him completely or I’m moving on already. It’s just the time is not right. I know he sets all of this to comfort me, but I couldn’t force myself to be happy right now. Time will heal me, not him.”

Nicole’s voice was weak but unwavering, and it surprised Hara a bit. She needs to look at her friend for a few seconds, to make sure that she wasn't hallucinating, but the determination in Nicole’s eyes was visible, and so Hara tried to be in her shoes. Hara knew her friend was in a fragile state, and love wasn’t the best option to heal her from the traumatic.

“Okay I understand, but I want you to know he’s always there when you’re in a coma or when I couldn’t watch over you. I’m not even forcing him, but he was already there willing to help. That means he has a reason right, cole?” Hara smiled and ruffled Nicole’s hair. “So get out now, I'll prepare the breakfast for us. You just wait in your bed. Wait for a minute baby,” she winked and pushed Nicole out as Nicole’s phone beeped.
