Today marked 8 years since Yoseob moved in with me and built his relationship with everybody he knew of, including his family. They were freaked out when they saw Yoseob on their door, especially Hana whose shriek was as loud as a whale, maybe-louder than a whale. They welcomed Yoseob to their home and brought him everywhere around his big house such as his old room, the attic when he used to hide, and other room in this house. They even left me all alone in the living room with a cup of tea and a jar of homemade chocolate-chip cookies. But, since the treat was delicious I didn’t make any comment about it and just wait for Yoseob to came back. Then, we spent almost a day talking and arguing because they want Yoseob to live with them but I refused it because I couldn’t bear a day without seeing him. It took us 3 hours before we finally had a deal (me and Yoseob’s parents of course) while the said man and Hana was playing with the dog. Even though hana looked like a lady now but she still looked like an innocent child whenever he with Yoseob.

“It’s been a long time since I hear her laugh and see her smile.” Said Mrs. Yang with a warm smile on her lips.

“Yeah.. Yoseob look really happy too with her.” Yoseob may not remember every single thing about Hana but I’m pretty sure his heart and mind still remember her, judging from the happy smile on his face.

“I trust him to you but remember to visit once in a while, okay? Make sure he eat perfectly balance meal for three times in a day and make sure he always smiling. I-I never want to see him wrecking his own life like before. I want him to be happy all the time and even if it means he can’t life with us in this house, at least we believe that he’s in the right hand. He is one of our precious child and will always be.”

“You can believe me. I promise to make Yoseob the happiest person in this world.” I looked at Yoseob whose laughing on the floor with the dog his cheek. For one moment his eyes met mine and I smile to him.

“Thank you.” It’s my pleasure. I’m very happy Mr. and Mrs. Yang let Yoseob live with me. Even though we still have to visit at least once or twice in a week but it’s more than enough for me.

“it’s getting late, let’s go home Yoseob.” Yoseob nod his head and put the dog back to the ground and ruffling Hana’s hair lovingly.

“Drive safe, okay? Take care Yoseob and remember that this is your home, feel free to visit anytime, okay?” I will, as long as Yoseob didn’t divert my focus but for now I’m confident that I can survive the trip back home.

“I will. Let’s meet again mommy, daddy, and Hana.” They enveloped Yoseob in a big family hug before finally let him go. This happened many years ago and contradict to what his parents said before, they made it a habit to come to this apartment like-everyday instead. We never stepped into that big house again since they always seems crowding around Yoseob. Well, not that I mind though since Yoseob and I still have private time at night. Today however is different because Junhyung and Hyunseung will visit us. Seung finally realize how much he missed Junhyung so he fled to japan and went to Junhyung’s address given by Yoseob. It had been 5 years since his bold and brave effort and finally they (or Junhyung) had free time from his job. Yoseob was very excited since yesterday night for this very day so when the flight was cancelled, he was very sad and disappointed.
