The Event: Part 2 - Fire and Ice
TASTStudents filed in the large gymnasium, finally getting to see what they've been waiting for all week. As the students were coming in, Baekhyun and Sehun were encouraging Chanyeol.
"You got this, baby. This time you will get him." Baekhyun said.
"You're going to do great out there, dude. Remember your mantra, all I do is win, win, win, no matter what." Sehun laughed a bit because they were listening to that song one day and Chanyeol said that was his mantra for everything.
"Yeah, go Chanyong or what the ever." Jongin even helped a little with the encouragement.
"Now go out there and raise hell!" Baekhyun yelled as Chanyeol was about to step up to the ring.
"Ok! Welcome to the long awaited event!" The referee, Joonmyun, announced. "For you first timers and ones with bad memories I will explain the rules. Rule number 1: You can't kill your opponents. That's about it. Ready! FIGHT!" And the battle started. As soon as MInseok started using his powers, his hair turned from dark brown to pure white and his eyes glowed a mystical blue. He threw huge chunks of ice at Chanyeol, but he was fast enough to either dodge or melt it.
"Holy , that's new." Baekhyun commented. "I've never seen anyone physically change like that using their powers." The battle was intense, and in a mere 10 minutes, Chanyeol was thrown out of the ring. The boy with dimples rushed to him and his fingers glowed as he touched Chanyeol. Sehun figured that was Yixing. Chanyeol was back in the ring in no time.
"Hunnie!" Luhan came from nowhere scaring Sehun, and he visibly jumped. "Got yah!" Luhan laughed. Sehun couldn't help but laugh to. He really liked this boy. "Let's go to your room and 'have some fun'." Luhan said seductively. Sehun could make up a brand new red color palette just with the shades of his face.
"Luhan, I really want to stay and watch the fight." Sehun tried to reason with Luhan.
"I hope your friend wins. I hate that backstabbing motherer Minseok. He is my ex-boyfriend. God! I just wanna-" Luhan started growling and cleching his fists. You could tell that this firecracker was about to explode. Sehun was afraid of what he might do and needed to think of a way to stop him from possibly destroying everything. So, he faced Luhan and kissed him hard.
"Don't think about him. He doesn't deserve you." Sehun said the first thing that came to his mind.
"Yeah, you're right. My new boyfriend is much, much, much better." Luhan was smiling again in no time. This boy has got to be bipolar or something. Sehun thought. Wait, did he just say-
"Boyfriend?!" Sehun said out loud in shock. He instantly slapped his hand over his mouth.
"Yeah, you're my boyfriend, Hunnie. Don't be a dip." This took an awkward turn. "I love you, Hunnie." Already?! Sehun liked Luhan, but he barely knew him, and what he did know about him wasn't helping him. If they went on a few dates then maybe 'like' would be an unfitting word, but love? They've only known each other for 15 minutes. Honestly, Sehun wasn't buying into Luhan's infatuation with him. He didn't want his heart to be played with, but he was too afraid to say anything.
"YAY! GET HIM CHANYEOL!" Baekhyun's loud cheering broke Sehun out of his thinking trance. He had realized that while he was in shock, Chanyeol had thrown Minseok out of the ring. It took longer but he did it. The crowd went wild. Even Luhan stood up to cheer. The only person that didn't do anything was Jongin. Even with Kyungsoo next to him trying to keep him calm, he still had hell-fire in his eyes. He was staring at Luhan and Sehun. Luhan, noticing this, had a mischievous smile on his face.
"Jongin, you're staring. What? Do I really look that amazing today?" Luhan said, turning to Jongin. Sehun couldn't help turning and listening in on the conversation.
"I ing hate you. Everything about you makes me sick. Look at what your doing to one of my friends. Trying to make him love you so you can have an easy victory. That's disgusting." Jongin had malice in his voice.
"Oh, is Innie jealous? Now that I have new arm candy after rejecting you, you want to hurt me?" Luhan said. Now everyone within hearing range turned to the two boys. "That's right, everyone. Jongin had a thing for yours truly."
"Yeah well at least I know how to love, instead of just using other people. You don't love him. You don't love anyone." Jongin was just about ready to beat the out of Luhan and disregard every rule or law against murder.
"How dare you question what I feel. I love Sehun. From the moment I saw him, I knew that he'd be better than anyone for me. I would never, ever hurt him. Ever." Luhan was dead serious now. He really did like Sehun that much. Jongin stood up just about ready to kill, but he was stopped by Kyungsoo.
"Don't do anything, Jongin. Just ignore him, ok." Kyungsoo's soothing voice stopped Jongin from disaster. Everyone, despite still being in total awe and shock, went back to watching the fight silently. Minseok was in the process of pushing Chanyeol out of the ring. When Chanyeol noticed he was standing on the edge, he grabbed Minseok and spun around, throwing him out of the ring. Everyone cheered the absolute loudest they could. Joonmyun stepped up to the ring, took Chanyeol's hand, and raised it in the air.
"And the winner is Chanyeol!" Joonmyun announced. Chanyeol had the biggest, creepiest grin on his face. The moment Joonmyun let go of his hand he rushed out of the ring and sprinted straight to Baekhyun.
"I knew you could do it, baby!" Baekhyun put his arms around Chanyeol's neck, and kissed him until they couldn't breathe. Chanyeol was still bruised up so when they came up for air Chanyeol told Baekhyun he was going to get healed.
"Good. I'm glad Minseok got burned. He deserves it after treating me like a toy." Luhan wrapped his arms around Sehun's waist and Sehun hugged him back. There was still one thing on his mind, though.
"Luhan, did you really mean what you said?" Sehun asked cautiously.
"Of course, Sehun." Luhan was being serious again. "Why? Do you not trust me?"
"I... I do, but we just met. We barely know anything about eachother."
"That doesn't mean I'm not willing to learn. People don't realize it, but I'm a good judge of character. Like Jongin, for example, he's a , a huge , but his heart is in the right place." Luhan was surprisingly deep and considerate. Sehun wondered what happened to make him go crazy. He seemed like a good person that could never hurt a fly. "I still don't like him, though. He's rude and mean and just awful to be around. Well if he doesn't open up to you."
Luhan sure was something special.
