This time, Sehun arrived for his training on time. Joonmyun was waiting for Sehun patiently. Walking toward Joonmyun, Sehun remembered what had happened last time. Oh yeah... last time. Well this time, he hoped it would be different. Key word being hoped.

"Hello again, Sehun! Are you ready?" Joonmyun greeted happily.

"I guess, sir. What will I be doing?" Sehun really couldn't guess.

"Today, we will work on reducing and controlling the strength of your powers. I've brought an anemometer to help me measure the speed of your winds. Just blow the absolute hardest you can. We will start with your hands." As suggestive as that sounded, Sehun followed his instructions. He focused all his energy in his hands and punched toward the device. It spun so fast it broke.

"Don't worry. I knew this would happen, I have more. 400mph winds is an incredible feat, but now I want you to focus less and try to reach 350mph." Sehun did the same thing but focused a little less. He punched and the device spun.

"Close 356mph. Try again and try to get 350mph." Again. 348. Again. 351. Again until finally a perfect 350.

"Good job. Now try for 300mph." Sehun was out of breath. This really was an exercise, both physically and mentally. But that was exactly the point. Sehun did the entire process again and it took him fewer tries. Joonmyun then told him to try 250. Sehun got it after 3 tries. Then 200 in 2 tries. 150 in 2 tries. 100 he got on the first try. They went until Joonmyun had Sehun do 1mph. Sehun did it in 1 try. 

"Great job! This is more progress than I thought. We'll stop for today but I want to see you the same time tomorrow." Joonmyun said.

"Okay... Sir... See you... tomorrow." Sehun managed to get out inbetween huffs of air. He was tired and all he wanted to do was lay down.

"Oh and Sehun, I'd like to see you in my office after you've eaten." Joonmyun said as the dinner bell rang.

Sehun met up with his friends in the cafeteria for dinner. He was happy to be able to rest and eat after the intense training session. Arriving at his table, he saw a very jittery and excited Baekhyun. 

"Is he alright?" Sehun asked with a chuckle. 

"He's fine. Just really excited." Chanyeol answered for Baekhyun. He looked like he could explode any second. And then...

"Who wouldn't be excited? The event is next week! I can't wait!" Baekhyun said a little too loud. "Everyone is trying to control their excitement, but I just can't help it. The suspense is too much! I also have a surprise... I'm going to compete!" Baekhyun was squealing by then.

"That's great, babe! But I gotta tell you something." Chanyeol paused for dramatic effect. "I'll be competing, too!" These two were bouncing in their seats with the biggest smiles on their faces. Sehun couldn't help but laugh at how these two looked. They were like children just being told they were going to Disney World.

"Do you know who else is going?" Sehun was curious.

"No idea but my best bet is on Jongin and Kyungsoo. They always go. Oh my god, I just realized this is my first time. Chanyeol, what's it like in the ring?" Baekhyun went from excited to worried in an instant.

"It's pretty scary at first and then you get over it when someone is throwing ice at you. It's hard to stay in that ring and to not faint." Chanyeol explained.

"Did you win last time you went?" Sehun asked.

"Nope. I got beat pretty bad. But it's ok. They have Yixing heal you after."

"Who's Yixing?"

"He's a student slash nurse at TAFA. He heals but his powers are scary so he's not allowed to fight."

"What are his powers?" Sehun had questions upon questions about this student at the other school.

"He has the ability to give life and take it away. One touch and you could be either cured or dead." Baekhyun explained. Everyone had such remarkable powers. So far he knew of people who could control fire, light, and water. He knew people who could turn invisible and teleport. There was one girl who could predict the future in his math class and a girl who could control your mind in his science class. Everyone was so interesting and Sehun thought he just wasn't as special as everyone else.

"Earth to Sehun. Hello? Anyone home in there?" Chanyeol caught Sehun zoning out. Sehun shook his head and heard the bell ring, ending the dinner period of the day. "Are you coming to our room to hang out or not?"

"Huh? Oh, no sorry." Sehun remembered that he had to meet up with Joonmyun in his office. He stepped into the elevator and pressed the button. 

Sehun stepped inside Joonmyun's office hesitantly. He had no idea why he was called in. Did he do something wrong? Was it about training?

"Sehun, I'm glad you remembered please take a seat." Joonmyun gestured to the chair in front of his desk.

"Am I in t...trouble, s...sir?" Sehun stuttered.

"Heavens no! I just needed to tell you something very, very important." Joonmyun said with a smile on his face. Sehun let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding in.

"I wanted to tell you that I want you to participate in the event. I know, we never put new students in the ring but you are special. You are strong enough for this." Sehun couldn't believe this. He couldn't even reply. He just sat there, mouth agape and eyes wide.

"I know this is a little surprising and you are probably nervous and scared, but with me training you, you could possibly win against one of the stronger opponents. You should go and rest. I bet you've had quite a tiring day." Sehun left without saying a word, too dumbfounded to even say a simple 'Goodbye, sir'.

Sehun entered his room and flopped down on his bed. Jongin was reading on his bed but he stopped when Sehun came in.

"Where were you? I was worried." Jongin sa... wait. What? Jongin was... worried? Did he get hit in the head or something?

"Are you okay? Sick? I think you should go to the nurse or something. This is scary." Sehun couldn't handle all of these weird things happening in one day.

"I'm fine. I'm just controlling my anger and trying not to be an . I truly am sorry for what happened. You know that, right?" Jongin said too sweetly and calm.

"Yeah but this is strange. I mean you can be mean but not a total jerk." Sehun needed something normal today and this definitely wasn't normal.

"Are you sure? Okay. Then, shut the up. I'm going to sleep." Better. Much, much better.
