Taeyeon’s POV

It’s been a long time since I wake up this happy,

At dawn.

It’s still 5 am.

I barely get enough sleep but schedule is waiting.

That doesn’t matter,

What matter is I have a brand new day.

Not as a loner again, hopefully.

Last night I was going straight to my room,

After a text to soo yeon to informed her if I arrived to dorm safely,

I already close my eyes at next second,

And I definitely had a nice sleep.

After a quick bath,

I put on my clothes,

Ready to make a breakfast before I go.

Shockingly, other members are already up.

Fany and sunny were sleeping there last night.

Even though there’re not really a morning person,

But their face is showing that something’s going on.

“where have you been last night?.”

Fany is immediately starting to interrogate me.

I raised my eyebrow, walking passing to her and sunkyu who had their hand fold

“good morning to you too.” I said nonchalantly.

“taeyeon-ah, did something happened last night? You didn’t tell me where you going.”

“and cookie oppa’s been calling us this early, he wonders what were you doing last night.”

And I turn my back to them, weird,

“why is he calling you?, if he wants to talk to me he needs to call me not you guys.”

“because you didn’t pick up, did you even checked your phone?.”

I didn’t.

I try to find my phone in my room but fany stopped me,

Sunkyu just standing there worriedly,

Fany take her phone in front of my face,

So I can read the text clearly,

Cookie oppa send fany a text,

“some paparazzi caught on her last night, tell her if I need to talk her in the morning first, and she needs to go to office.”

I feel my heart is dropping.

Is this really happening now?

When I finally starting to get everything on my hand..

I grip the edge of counter,

Just to support me from falling,

“tae, what’s going on?.” Fany’s voice full of concern.

She didn’t know yet. Sunkyu didn’t know it either.

“I…I…”

I’m on the verge to cry right now,

“taeyeon-ah, breathe..”

And there, sunny wrapping her hand on me,

I just let out the tears I’ve been holding.

Fany was fast,

She’s holding me too in the next second.

They’re soothing me.

This is too much..

“what happened tae?.”

“are you with Jessica last night?,” sunny asked with her concern voice.

I nod between sobs.

“so what if you were going out with jessi, last night?,” fany asked with her raising tone,

“are you guys fighting on the street or what?,” she adds.

It would be better if they caught us fighting instead of our date..

“no, I made up with her.”

“it is a great news, isn’t it tae?.” Fany’s voice is genuinely happy.

“we were on a date last night, fany-ah.”

My trembling voice make sunny hugs me tighter.

Fany released her hand from me.

“what? How? When? Why didn’t you tell me anything?” she clearly starting to get mad.

Sunny soothing my back with her silence,

“ because it’s happened so fast, fany-ah, I didn’t have the right time to tell you or anybody else if we were seeing each other last night.”

Fany just silence.

She try to understand the situation.

“why do you seems this panic, taenggu? We usually went on a date before, it wasn’t a big deal, people should’ve known it, especially reporter or papparazi, we are best friend after all”

“because we kissed, sunny-ah.”

And I cry harder.

And I feel their arms was around me again,

Tightly. Tighter than ever.

“I’m sorry tae..”

“me too.” I said.

“actually I didn’t expect to find out like this, but I’m happy for you if you finally worked it out with jessi,” fany said with her genuinely smile. And sunny’s nodding her head, sending her motherly smile.

Jessica? Soo yeon?

But, did soo yeon get this text too from cookie oppa?

What is she doing right now?

Is she fine?

And I stopped crying right away just to think about her,

If the one who should be comforted right now is her,

Not me,

This is all my fault.

If only I didn’t take her on a date,

If only I wasn’t being careless..

As I broke the hug, I ran into my room,

Checking my phone,

And there’s 8 missed calls,

5 from cookie oppa, and the other from soo yeon.

8 unread messages.

I opened cookie oppa first, which actually the same one with I’ve read from fany’s,

And when I opened soo yeon’s,

Tears are ready to fall again,

“have you read cookie oppa’s message? I’m on my way to company right now, you need to call him first, tae, I’ll see you soon, we are in  these together and we’ll be fine, believe me, we will. Xx, S”

With trembling hand, I dial oppa’s number.

“I’m at parking lot right now, soo yeon’s already on sm building, we need to get going tae.”

And like a lightning,

I get my purse and jacket,

I wipe my tears,

After a fast hug with fany and sunny,

“everything will be fine, tae.”

“it will, tae, don’t worry.”

And I run to cookie oppa’s car with my swollen eyes.

“oppa,” I manage to say when I get in on the car.

His face seems like he wasn’t asleep at all last night.

“I’m sorry, oppa.”

And I’m starting to cry again.

“hey hey, don’t say you’re sorry, tae, I know if you were caught up in a moment last night, I guess luck wasn’t on your side.”

He’s giving me tissues and starting the engine.

“what exactly they got, oppa?.”

 “they caught you when you were dropping sica on her house.”

And I was crying even harder if I couldn’t have in this state.

Before I knew it, we finally arrived at sm building.

“wipe your tears, don’t give people wrong impression, tae,” he said with her softer voice.

I nod.

I put my hoodie and wearing glass.

When I was on my way to director’s office,

I spot soo yeon whose sitting with her eyes close,

I can feel her body is tense.

I run into her.

She realizes if I was coming, she opens her eyes,

And stand from her seat,

She opens her arms widely,

And I crashed in her arm.

She hugs me tightly.

Tears didn’t come again this time.

I can finally relax a little bit.

“have you eat?,” she asked, breaking a hug,

Locking our eyes.

How could she asked that if there’s something more important happened.

But I just shake my head.

“have you?,” I asked.

“not yet, this is too early to have breakfast,” she said with her smile.

How could she be this relax?

Is she even worried?

“why do you act like something didn’t happened?,” I asked with disbelievingly.

And she chuckled,

“we already have you at that state, where you were crying and panicking, the least thing I can do is to neutralize this,”

She said as she giving me a smile,

And it’s actually calming me down more.

“I’m sorry, this is all my fault.” I said.

“don’t say that, it’s partly my fault too for jumping on you in front of my home, I’m the one who would be sorry.”

“no it’s not your fault.”

silence.

“do you think this consider as a mistake?,” she asked as point her side and then mine.

“no,” I answered it fast enough to make her smile.

another silence.

“do you regret what happened last night?.”

“NO!,” and now I raised my voice.

She’s raising her eyebrow with a chuckled.

“stop saying sorry, then.”

“Jessica, taeyeon, director is ready to meet you.”

And right there, where I grips soo yeon’s hand,

Whose holding mine.

Hanna unnie is waiting on us in front of director’s room.

When we finally stepped in director’s room,

We greeted by cookie oppa, 3 c.e.o s, 3 managers, and director

“have a seat, jessica-ssi, taeyeon-ssi.” a C.E.O. called us to sit.

Chairman just sit on his chair,

And we’re walking hand in hand,

With cookie oppa behind us.

And we finally seated in front of director’s chair.

“can you tell us what happened with this?,”

As the last C.E.O giving an envelope of photos,

There is a camera on chairman’s table.

Soo yeon strained her hand and taking a look on every picture.

Every picture is when I dropped her on her house,

And my breathe hitched when I saw kissing photo.

My ears starting to buzzing.

I can’t hear anything, except,

Soo yeon said if we have the right to starting relationship,

And she was arguing with a C.E.O. until cookie oppa steps up,

My whole body is shaking up.

I feel like wanting to throw up,

Because this is just too much.

After one argument to another, I can’t take this anymore,

“if you want to fire us, fire me, not her,” I said.

And the whole room is quiet.

Soo yeon’s giving her eyebrows raising,

She shots me deathly glare.

Cookie oppa does too.

And director who’s been silence-ing all this time is finally speak up,

“it doesn’t work that way, taeyeon-ssi, and fortunately we have get ridden the papz who took your picture and miss Jessica-ssi, we paid him enough to let this go.”

His calm voice starting to give me a hope,

“but we can’t let this happened again,” a C.E.O spoken again.

“so we already decided if you two can’t meet each other again until we can say so, you two only can be on same place with our permission, including variety show, fan sign, awards, concert, and you can’t interact with each other on public unless it’s on script. We’re going to watch your every move.”

We’ve been holding hand since we entered this room,

But I feel my bone is starting to crashed when soo yeon’s trying to let go,

“but,” she cuts in.

“no buts, this is the least thing you can do guys for us, we can’t risked snsd hard work for this, whatever happened with you two, and we’re not paying that guy again next time, next time maybe it's already all over the news.”

After another argument, we finally had our plans,

We still can see each other when soo yeon is on the dorm, the only place we can be together is in the dorm, without script and eyes on us.

We decide to accept the plans for now,

We’re quiet on our way to our car.

Soo yeon’s manager already waiting on the car,

And cookie oppa is behind us.

“what happened now?,” I asked.

She seems to think about what to say,

And she release her first smile after those long arguments,

“don’t ever think to end what’s just started, tae,” she said.

I know what she meant,

I was thinking to give her a chance to go,

But, can I just be selfish for now?

I just want her..

“so, Do you still want to be my girlfriend?,” I asked.

She chuckled.

“we’ve been scolded in hours not for nothing.”

“yeah?.”

“idiot.” she answered with her smile as she takes my hand on hers.

I can’t control my face,

My smile suddenly rises when she intertwined our hands,

“yours, though.”

And she giggles.

Cookie oppa try to ruins the moment with clearing his throat.

I don’t want to let soo yeon’s hand go but I have to.

We are on front office now.

She paused her walking pace.

“do you think Sone will feel bad if we’re still going to ignore each other again?.”

She asked as she puts her hand on her pocket.

Even the wind between my fingers is missing her soft touch.

“they will, but they will understand too, we won’t be playing this role until forever, once the contract over, we can do whatever we want.”

And she nods.

“are they gonna accept us though?.”

Members and family’s eyes is important to us.

But Sone is a family too.

They’re not just ordinary fans.

They’re incredible things that ever happened to us.

“you will be surprise how understanding they will be, we can worry about it later.”

After saying good bye,

We heads to our car.

I’m going to next schedule,

Replaying again what happened in there.

i feel guilty again now.

But then my phone vibrated,

A text from soo yeon.

“don’t blame yourself, it’s not anyone fault, we can still have our time you know? Don’t worry, we’re going to be just fine :) Xx S. p.s. don’t forget to eat something before going on stage, do well!.”

And she really is a quick witted.

She can sense it even she wasn’t here.

“thank you, off the record, I am still sorry, but I’m not sorry to fall in love with you, and the date, and the kiss. have a great day with today’s photo shoot! show the world how pretty you are kekeke Xx, TY. P.s. yes mom, I will.”

And I released my long breathe,

Put a smile on my face.

Everything’s going to be fine.
