Chapter 11: It's the Showcase...

Guests were finding their seats at the auditorium. Parents and friends of all the students came to support them. Some of the students went to greet their family and friends, some were preparing backstage. Students whom weren't performing tonight, took their seats behind the teachers.

Dujun, Junhyung, Hyunseung, Yoseob, Dongwoon all sat together. JaeMin and Miyong went backstage to look for AeRa and JaeYoung.

"AeRa! Eottae?" JaeMin asked

"Oh waseo?...Neomu ginjang iya unnie." AeRa said

"You're going to be just fine." Miyong said

"Ya, HWAITING!" JaeMin said

"Ye, hwaiting!" AeRa replied

"Gikwang ah, the boys wishes you good luck too!" JaeMin told Gikwang

"Thanked them for me." he replied

They left AeRa to get dress up for the performance and went to look for JaeYoung. JaeYoung was putting his army style jacket on, while Minji was putting her accessories on.

"Oppa!" Miyong called out

"Mwohaneungoya yeogiseo?" He asked

"We came to wish you good luck!" JaeMin said "Geudaeso, Oppa GOOD LUCK!" she continued

"Gomawo. Hey, I need to get prepare." He gave both of them a hug. "I'll see you guys later, after I kill this performance!" He added

"Pssff, arasseoyo. I know you both will." Miyong said. "Jalga!"

They went back outside to take a seat. Dujun and Yoseob both saved them a seat.

"How are they doing?" Dujun asked Miyong. Who was sitting right next to him.

"They're fine" Miyong said "They seem confident. Especially, JaeYoung oppa." she continued.

"Jjinja? I'm not surprised! He may fool us for being a rookie at this singing thing, but he was born for the stage." Dujun complimented JaeYoung

"I think so too." Miyong replied.

"Are you nervous for our performance?" Dujun asked

"Not really, don't worry so much." Miyong said

"Guys, the show's about to start." Hyunseung said

 

Showcase moment...

The showcase was hosted by the Hwang siblings. They are popular in the academy, students were cheering for them went they came out. 

"Good evening to everyone! Thanks for coming to SMA showcase. I'm sure you guys can't wait to see the performance." Hwang seonsaengnim said

"Let's start the show with our senior performers!" Ms.Hwang said

The first group of seniors and juniors came out. Hyun Ae was in the group too. She was mostly in the middle. Taecyeon, Junsu, Nichkhun and a couple of juniors are in the group too. They were dancing to the song Patron Tequila. They did acrobatic moves, flips and spins. Everyone was cheering for them, because they landed every move perfectly. Even Hyun Ae, the only girl in the group was hitting every flips right on the spot.

AeRa who was watching backstage started to get worried. JaeYoung was watching beside her too.

"How are we suppose to top that?" AeRa asked

"I knew they were good, but I didn't know they could pull that off." JaeYoung said

"Aigoo, eottheoke..." AeRa put her palm on her forehead

"Geongjeong hajimaseyo, all we need to do is just to get out there and perform like how we practice. Forget the rest. You can do it!" Gikwang said

"Besides, it's not a competition. Let's just show them what we've got." Minji comforted AeRa.

"Ok! AeRa hwaiting!" She cheered 

Next group to perform were Wooyoung, Junho and Chansung's group. This group's were more to pop lock and break dancing skills. It was another awesome performance. It was a a loud applause from the audience.

"Wow! That was both awesome performance by some of the seniors." Mr.Hwang said 

"Ok, now we're gonna change things up a little bit. There will be some duet performances lining up for tonight. So first up, is by one of our freshman and sophomore. Lee AeRa and Lee Gikwang shi!" Ms.Hwang called out their names.

The piano was already set up on the stage. AeRa and Gikwang came out and took their position. Lights went off, only two spotlights were focusing on them. Gikwang looked at AeRa, she nodded and started to play the piano. The audience were quiet waiting for them to start singing.

"This is it! Aigoo, I'm getting nervous and I'm not even on that stage!" JaeMin said

"Me too." Yoseop said.

"Ya! Uri Gikwang jjinja moda!" Dongwoon said

Gikwang started to sing while AeRa continued to play the piano and waited until it was her time to sing. After the 1st chorus, it was AeRa's turn to sing. Gikwang took out his mic to stood beside her. Smiling at her while she was singing.

"JaeMin ah, look at the way Gikwang is looking at her." Miyong said

"I know, do you think he likes her?" JaeMin asked curiously "Or is that all an act?" She continued

"I think Gikwang really like her. He doesn't tell us, but we know how he acts around the girl he likes." Yoseop said

"He's pretty reserved when it comes to this kind of thing." Dujun said

"To think that he couldn't stand it when AeRa was around when she first came in" Hyunseung added

"He's holding back, because she's dating Nichkhun sunbae now." Dongwoon said.

"Oohh! Guys look!" JaeMin pointed at the stage.

Gikwang took AeRa's hand and the music came on.  They were singing face to face in the middle of the spotlight. Gikwang and AeRa never took their eyes away from each other.

"Ya! I've never seen Gikwang like this!" Yoseop said in excitement

It was the end of the song. Gikwang was still staring into AeRa's eyes. When the curtain was almost closed, all of a sudden Gikwang went closer until he was nose to nose with AeRa and he lightly kissed her forehead. Then the curtain finally came down. The crowd stood up to give them a standing ovation.

"OMO! Omo! Seobbie ah...What was that all about? Did they planned that?" JaeMin was surprised.

"Nan jjinja mollayo!" Yoseop replied

"I don't think it was, did you see the look on AeRa's face? She was stunned" Miyong answered.

"Where's Nichkhun sunbae? Did he saw that?" Hyunseung asked

"I don't see him anywhere." DongWoon said.

"Plan or not planned, I can't believe that just happened. Even though it was a kiss on the forehead" JaeMin still in shock.

"Sneaky guy...!" Dujun said

Backstage...

Gikwang left pretty quickly to change. AeRa followed him from behind.

"Lee Gikwang! Jamkkanmanyeo!!!" AeRa chased after him

She finally caught up with him. AeRa grabbed his arm to make that he wouldn't run away.

"What was that all about?" AeRa asked

"I was just in the moment with the song. Mianhae." Gikwang explained

"Is that all? You did that because you were in the moment? You took me by surprise!" AeRa asked him again

"Miannatda. I shouldn't have done that." Gikwang apologized.

"You gotta go, Nichkhun is here. We'll continue this talk later" Pushed Gikwang out of the auditorium. "Ppali ka!"

"No, I need to explain it to him." Gikwang insisted

"I'll do the explaining. Just wait outside." AeRa close the door behind him

Nichkhun was rushing towards AeRa. His expression was different than usual.

"Oppa!" AeRa call him.

"Can you please explain, what just happened on stage?" Nichkhun asked furiously

"It was all an act for the duet. Geongjeong hajima." AeRa explained

"You're joking right? That didn't look like it was acting to me. You both seem to like it. Where is he anyway?" Nichkhun was in disbelief

"He's changing. That was all acting. I swear." AeRa said

"I want to talk to him." He asked

"It's not his fault, okay?. It was a last minute decision. It was my idea. We wanted to give the audience a real performance." AeRa trying to cover up.

"Seriously? You should've warn me at least.  " He said.

"Jeongmal joesonghabnida, oppa" AeRa gave him a hug. "Don't be mad." she kissed him on his left cheek.

"I thought I was going to have a heartattack." He said. "Next time, no more kisses from other guys. Arattji?" He asked

"Arasseo oppa. Mianhae." She replied. "I need to change, I want to see JaeYoung oppa's performance, I'll see you outside." AeRa told Nichkhun.

Nichkhun was relieved, he kissed AeRa on the lips.

"It should've been me on that stage just now." He smiled at her and went back out to the auditorium

AeRa didn't know what to say but just to smile back at him. AeRa was still dazing away. "What if I told Nichkhun the truth? How would he have reacted" She was thinking to herself. She felt guilty for lying to Nichkhun, but she didn't want Gikwang to get in trouble too. She took out her hand phone and called Gikwang.

Gikwang: "Yeobuseyo? AeRa shi?"

AeRa: "You can come back in now. I've already explained everything to him"

Gikwang: "His not mad at me?"

AeRa: "I told him it was my idea. Geongjeong hajimaseyo. Come back in"

Gikwang hung up. Not too long later, he was standing beside AeRa.

"Sorry to put you in that position. I feel so stupid! That was embarrassing! Pabo!" Gikwang knocked his own head

"Gwaenchanahayo. Just keep this between us. If our friends ask, just say that it was just acting. Arasseo?" AeRa asked

"Aigehsibmida." Gikwang nodded "You're not mad at me?" He asked

"I dunno how to react to it yet, still processing." AeRa said. "Come on, let's go out." she added

"Ya, aren't you going to change first?" he asked

"Ah Matta! Oh! eotteoke? JaeYoung oppa is up soon. I'll just change later. Gaja!" She said.

Inside the auditorium...

AeRa and Gikwang went to find their friends and they all sat together. JaeMin and Miyong were looking at AeRa, while B2ST members were all looking at Gikwang.

"Waeyo?... Guys I know what you're thinking, it was all acting, okay?" AeRa pointed out

"Miyong ah, did we say anything? I didn't say anything. Did you hear I said anything?" JaeMin being sarcastic

"I didn't hear anything." Miyong playing along.

"Ya! juggo sippeo?!" AeRa said "It was a last minute plan, arasseo?" She added

"Arasseo, arasseo!" JaeMin said "You can tell us, when you want to tell us. You know we're here for you, right?" she continued

"Arayo unnie. Gomawo" AeRa said

AeRa (POV)

I couldn't concentrate on watching the performance. I was still thinking about what Gikwang did. Even though it wasn't that big of a deal, but my heart was jumping like crazy. It was different when I'm with Nichkhun, although I liked it when Nichkhun hold my hands, hugged me or even kissed me, but it was a whole other feeling when it was with Gikwang. The problem is, I wasn't even mad at him, it was more like I was surprised. I always thought that Gikwang hated girls like me. He refused to talk to me when I first came to the academy.

Does he like me now? Was I falling for him? I started to wonder all this questions. Gikwang and I had been spending a lot of time together. Practicing the duet and the dance. Recently, I started to have this typical butterfly in the stomach, heart fluttering moment around Gikwang but I still have feelings for Nichkhun. "Sesange! I was so confused." I said to myself.

Gikwang turned around to look at me. I smiled at him and he mouthed the words 'Mianhae'. I put my hands on his shoulder to assure him that it was okay. I didn't notice that JaeMin and Miyong were looking at me.

"(Ehem)...Acting you say..." JaeMin said

I didn't reply JaeMin. She can tell what's wrong with me even If I kept my mouth shut. I didn't want to tell her anything, before I was sure of my feelings. "Aigoo, AeRa ah eotteoke?" I thought to myself. JaeMin was sitting beside me, she hold my hand tightly.

"Don't think about it so much, let's just watch oppa's performance." JaeMin said

The Hwang siblings introduced Minji and JaeYoung oppa to the stage. I put the situation at the back of my mind, and try my best to focus on the performance. 

I noticed there were some girls standing at the left side of the stage shouting out JaeYoung oppa's name, I thought it was a little funny. Obviously, his admirers. I recognised one of them from his piano class.

JaeYoung (POV)

I was trying my best not to let my nerves get to me. After they called out our names, Minji and I took our position on stage. I can hear whispers and laughters behind me. I glanced at Minji, she was fixing her head set mic. Minji turned to my direction and gave me a thumbs up. I saw a few girls standing at the side calling out my name, I just managed a smile for them.

The song was on. I told myself, this is it, this is the my first debut as a singer, there's no turning back and I'm not going to disappoint my partner. We both started dancing, then I started singing the first verse. I noticed that some students were whispering during the performance and some was enjoying the performance. My voice was obviously a little low, Minji was giving me the sign to turn my voice up. I was still a little nervous. After the 1st chorus, I started to warm up and get the feel of the stage. 

The teachers were standing up dancing along to the song, and some students were cheering for us. It felt good to see people enjoying it, after the last of the song, Minji and I met in the middle and then the song ended. The entire auditorium was filled with roar of people cheering for the performance. I took Minji hand and went up front of the stage. We both bowed and thanked the audience. Minji clenched my hands and looked at me. We both smiled at each other, and we left the stage. 

Backstage...

"Woah jjinja! That was nerve racking!" I said

I gave her a hug. I can feel that her body was tense by my action,  I let go of her.

"Sorry about that. I'm just glad that our performance went well." I told her

"I'm gonna change" she said. She quickly went inside the changing room

Did I do something wrong again? I wondered. Was I not suppose to hug her? I was happy that we both did well. I still can't figure her out. I stood in front of the changing room, I wanted to go in and talk to her, my hand was at the door knob but then I thought she must be changing. Some juniors passed by and looked at me weirdly, like I was a pevert or something. So, I let go of the door knob and went to change my clothes.

After I changed, I waited outside for Minji. When she came out, she tried to avoid making eye contact with me, which I thought it was weird.

"Hey, you need a ride home?" I asked

"It's ok. I'll find my way." She said

She was walking towards the academy's main entrance, I accompanied her. We didn't say a word, the whole way. I was watching her from the back, wondering what was she thinking. We walking down the stairs heading to the hallway, when she turned and look at me.

"Waeyo, gwaenchana?" I asked

"...We're just friends, right?" She suddenly asked

"What do you mean?" I was confused

"That hug, it was nothing right?" she asked again

"It was a friendly hug, don't think so much about it." I said

"I can't get into a relationship right now, I've worked too hard to come to SMA, I can't have any distraction. I went through this before, and I'm not gonna let that happen to me again." she said

"Minji shi, it was a hug. We both performed well, and I gave you a hug. That's it." I said clearly.

"A hug, can lead into someting else and i can't have that something else right now. I just can't." She walked away.

"At least let me give you a ride home. I can let a girl go home at night by herself." I grab her arm

"SUNBAENIM, JEBAL!" She pushed me.

I lost my footing on the stairs, and I was literally tumbling down the stairs. I just lay on the floor, shocked from the fall.

"Ya, YAH, JaeYoung sunbae! Neol gwaenchana?!" Her hand was on my cheeks.

I force myself to get up, I could feel the pain on my ankle, and blood was staining my jeans. Minji was holding my arm helping me up.

"Sunbae, can you stand up, where's your car keys?" she asked panically.

"ARGHHH!! APPAYO!!" I cried out. The pain on my ankle was too much, I couldn't put any weight on it. 

"....Eottheoke? Eottheoke? Should I call Dujun sunbae and the rest?" She asked

"No, I don't want to bother them. Minji shi, you can drive right? I need to get this check" I asked

"Ye... Ah matta! (looking at my car keys that I gave her just now). Gidaryeo!" She ran in panic.

I thought it was cute. I smiled just looking at her. A moment ago, she was avoiding eye contact with me, now she's driving me to the hospital.

Not too long, the car was at the front gate. She came running pulling a security guard with her.

"Ahjusshi, dowajuseyo. Ppali juseyo!!" She said.

The security guard helped me up. Minji was on the other side.

"Yaaaa, what happened to you?" The ahjusshi asked

"I was clumsy" I said. I looked at Minji, I actually felt bad just looking at her. Her expression looks worried. I know that it wasn't her fault, I just lost my balance. "Minji shi, geongjeong hajimaseyo. It's just a slight sprain, I'll be fine." I assured her.

She was quiet. Both of them helped me in the passenger seat.

"Kamsahamida Ahjusshi." I said.

Minji started the engine. 

"Sunbae, jeongmal mianhae." she said.

"It's fine. This is normal" I wanted to make her less worried. But the pain was unbearable.

"Falling down the stairs is not a normal thing." She burst into tears. She stopped the car at the curb. "Eottheokke sunbae, what if the doctor say you can't dance anymore?" Wiping her tears and not looking at me.

I softly her hair.

"Pabo. It's just a sprain. Uljimallayo." I said.

"Joesonghabnida." Minji apologized again.

"It's not your fault, arasseo? I lost my balance" I convinced her again

She cried again. I couldn't just sit there helplessly and not do anything, I went over to her and hug her tightly, even though I know that she will probably pushed me away again. But she didn't, she cried even louder.

"Mianhae...I'm getting your shirt wet." Wiping her tears away.

"Let's just get to hospital. Can you drive?" I asked her.

She nodded. I switched on the my music player, to ease the tension. What did I do to myself? A hug from her, and I ended up with a sprained ankle, scraped my knees and  the back of my head. I need to start wearing a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads, when I'm around her. She's starting to get dangerous.

Minji (POV)

What have I done? I thought to myself. JaeYoung sunbae is a dancer, and I injured his ankle. My mind was restless, although he said it was his fault, but I couldn't help but to think that if I didn't push him away, none of this would've happen. I was gonna take full responsibilty, if anything happens to him.

"You're thinking about it again, aren't you? He suddenly asked

"I'm worried about this." She said

"...(chuckled) You're too cute." He said

"YA! CUTE?! I'm seriously worried!" I hit his arm.

"Arasseo, arasseo. Let's just see what the doctor will say." he said. Rubbing his arm, that I hit just now. "Jjinja appayo!" He added.

We arrrived at the hospital. I ran as fast as I can, to get someone to help me. A couple of male nurses came running towards my direction asking me what can they help. I lead them to the car, the nurses push the wheelchair close to the passenger seat. They both carried JaeYoung sunbae and rest him on the wheelchair.

"Minji shi, don't call anybody.  You don't have to stay, you can go home, your parents must be worried." He instructed

"Aniya, I'll give them a call. I'll wait for you 'till you come out." I said. Refusing to leave him.

They took him to the emergency room and told me to wait outside. I hated this, sitting alone outside of the emergency room and no one to talk to. I wanted to tell JaeMin, AeRa and Miyong shi what happened.

After 45 minutes later, finally the doctor came out.

"Are you the one that brought him here?" the doctor asked.

"Ye. How is he Doctor? Will he be okay?" I asked

"His fine, a few scrapes here and there. His ankle is sprained, so he has to rest that foot for about 2 weeks. Nothing major. I'll check him in for the night, you should inform his parents. We still have to do further check up". The doctor said

"I want to tell his parents but he told me not to. Eottheoke?" I asked

"Then, maybe you can be his guradian...Are you the girlfriend?" The doctor asked suddenly

"MWO? Aniya, chingu." I said shyly

"Mianhae. Can you please come with me and fill in some forms for the patient?" He said

"Ye, arasseo." I followed the doctor to the counter.

 

At the ward...

I lightly knocked on the door and open it. Sunbae was lying down reading health magazine, he looked relax as ever while I'm still restless.

"Sunbae...Gwaenchanahnayo?" I asked

"I'm fine silly, come inside." He said.

I took the chair and placed it next to the bed. 

"You should go home. It's late already." He said

"Did you give your parents a call? JaeMin, AeRa or Miyong shi?" I asked worriedly

"They texted me a while ago. I just told them that I'm at home." He told me

"Why won't you tell them?" I asked again

"Because JaeMin, AeRa, Miyong and even the B2ST members will worry over me instead of enjoying themselves at the showcase." He explained "You can tell them after the showcase." He added

"Arasseo. Baegopayo? You want me to get you ramyun?" I asked

"You think I'm going to let a girl go out at night by herself?" He said "Nan gwaenchana, geongjeong ma." He continued.

"The store is just opposite. I'll be fast" I said

"YAH GONG MINJI! Jamshimanyeo!" He shouted

"Annyeong, sunbae." I ran out of the ward.

I knew that he was hungry. Today he even skipped lunch, because he was too nervous about the showcase. 

I took every instant food for him. Instant chicken soup, porridge and ramyun for him. I went to starbucks to get him a fresh brewed tea. 

By the time I got back, sunbae was taking a nap. I quietly kept the rest of the food in the cabinet and went out to make ramyun for him.

I carried the ramyun slowly back to the ward.

"Sunbae, ireonayo. Ppali mwogoyo." I lightly shook his shoulder. "JaeYoung shi, ireonayo!" I said again.

He slowly sat up. I pulled the table closer to him. He was looking at me, he looked angry.

"You sure are stubborn. Do you know how annoyed I was, that I couldn't run after you, with this stupid sprained ankle? I was seriously worried." He said.

"Mianhae. Ppali mwogoyo. I know you're hungry, you skipped lunch today." I handed him the chopsticks.

"You're not eating with me?" He asked

"It's ok. I'm fine." I said.

"Come here. I don't like eating by myself. Ppalli!" He patted his bed asking me to sit with him.

I just remained standing. He reached out to grab my hand, and pulled me to his side.

"Anjeuseyo. Don't be stubborn." He said.

My heart was pumping really fast all of a sudden. I hated that feeling, because I know that means I was starting to like sunbae, and it's not what I planned when I got in SMA. 

"Hmm...Mwogo" he fed me. "Mastda?" He asked

"I can feed myself." I stubbornly said. Why does he had to feed me? I feel like a baby, I thought to myself.

"Shhhhh... just eat. Don't think too much" he fed me some more, then he fed himself. "Jjinja mashinde!" He slurped his ramyun. "Minji shi, gomasimida." he said

He was really hungry, he ate the ramyun in less than 5 minutes. I went to make another bowl for him. I actually like this side of him, totally ignoring my stubborness. Weird I know, but I find it charming. I gave him the new bowl.

He still fed me like a baby, ignoring the fact that I kept saying 'NO' to him. I can believe that I am sitting on a hospital bed with JaeYoung sunbae sharing a bowl of ramyun, Make that 2 bowls of ramyun.

"You're not going home? It's almost midnight." he asked again

"Will you be okay here?" I asked

"You wanna stay here and accompany me?" he asked

"You don't mind?" I wanted to stay.

"Of course. It gets cold at night." He teased

"MWOYA! Don't think too much." I said

"...(chuckled) I was teasing you." He said

I stayed back with him. He felt asleep as soon as he lay on the bed. Must be the painkillers that the doctors give to reduce the pain. There was a small couch under the window. I made my self comfortable, and try to take get some sleep.

After the showcase, all of them went their separate ways. Dujun gave Miyong a ride home.

Dujun (POV)

"Miyongie, pigon hae?" I asked Miyong. Whom had her hoodie up.

"A little bit, you?" She asked me

"I'm okay. Did you get a hold of JaeYoungie?" I asked her

"He just texted me back, he said his at home." Miyong replied

"I wonder why he suddenly just dissapeared after the performance, he didn't even informed us." I said

"Not sure, I didn't even notice Minji shi anywhere." Miyong said

"Weird. Very very weird." I started to get worry. "Do you think something went wrong between them?" I asked

"Mollayo. Oppa nan jjinja baegopayo." She said.

Miyong and I had been close since that day at the amusement park. She started to call me oppa since then. I called her Miyongie. But I still can't define, what's going on between us. We haven't hold hands, or anything else. Miyongie has changed into a more warmer person ever since, still full of secrets, but easier to talk to compare than before.

"Arasseo, what do you want to eat?" I asked her

"Ermmm....samnyubsal, kimbap, Rabeokki?" she said.

"Rabeokki sounds nice... Eodi? Ahh! The one near your workplace!" I suddenly thought of the small restaurant close by Miyoungie's work place.

"Matta! Arasseo, Gaja." She said in excitement.

I parked the truck in front of the restaurant. I ordered rabeokki for the both of us. Miyongie automatically lay out the plates, chopticks and spoon on the table. She even made me sesame oil, dwaenjang and gochujang sauce. Usually I do this for the B2ST members, but this time Miyongie is the one that did it for me.

"Gomawoyo, Miyongie." I said to her.

"Oppa, next week is an important day for me." She said all of sudden

"Jjinja? What important day?" I asked her. Her face expression was serious,

"You will know on that day." She said 

"You're not gonna tell me, right?" I asked her

"Will you be by my side on that day?" she asked

"No problem." I said

"Gomapda, it means a lot to me." She thanked me. "I didn't want to disturbed JaeMin and AeRa. They have their own agenda now." she continued

"That's why you have me, YOON DUJUN!" I said loudly.

People around us started laughing, I didn't notice that I was speaking loudly. I immediately covered my face with the menu.

"Pabo aniya?" Miyong said.

"Miyongie, you know there's a saying 'When happiness is shared it is double, and when sadness is shared it is halved'. I want you to be able to open up to me." I said to her.

"Oppa..." She hold both of my hands. "Promise me you'll be there for me on that day?" She asked again

"Yaksokhage!" We pinky sweared.

 

Miyong (POV)

It was his anniversary, after 3 years had passed. Every year, same day and same time I will go there, just to tell him how have I been. I'm not sure how will I react if I go back to that place again.

But these 3 years, I have been a souless human being, hardly talk to my best friends even my cousin, whenever they ask me out, I rather stay at home. When Dujun appeared, it's like the old me is slowly climbing to come back, which made me feel good.

Dujun can make me forget my worries, even if it's for a while. He is always taking care of me, making sure I don't skipped any meal, making sure I'm not tired and making sure if I reach home safely. Sometimes I feel bad that he is around me too much, because I know his friends misses him.

The waiter came with our raw rabeokki on the hot plate.

"Oppa, aren't you tired always hanging around me?" I asked bluntly "Don't you miss your members?" I added

"No and yes." He answered. "No, I don't get tired hanging out with you and yes, I do miss my members." He continued

"You should spend more time with them, and I should have like slumber party with my friends." I said. I saw his expression changed when I said 'slumber party'.

"JaeYoungie slumber party with you guys?" He asked

"I meant just sleepover my place." I said.

"You miss your friends too?" He asked while cooking the rabbeokki.

"Of course. Jaeyoung oppa is with Minji shi. AeRa is going through her dilemma with Nichkhun and Gikwang. JaeMin is always with Yoseob shi." She said. 

"After the hectic showcase, I'll let you run freely with your friends." he said, as if I'm a caged animal.

"Run freely? What am I, a horse?" I asked sarcastically. It made him laughed.

"...(Laughed), you know what I meant. I get worried when I'm not around you. I feel the need to be beside you." He said looking at me intensely.

"Thanks master for letting me run freely." I joked

"You're most welcome, my horse." He joked back.

After the late supper, Dujun made sure I got to the front door and we said goodnight to each other.

JaeYoung (POV)

I woke up around 2am, I needed to go to the washroom. Minji was lying down on the sofa. I skipped on one of my foot, to get next to her. I tried to carried her to the bed, but it was impossible to do it skipping on one foot. I ended up taking my blanket, covering her. 

After I was back from the washroom, I took my crutches and sat beside her. I replayed what happened to both of us. She was avoiding me after I hugged her, when I'm in the hospital she didn't even mind sharing the same ramyun with me. I was her hair, looking at her at the same time. 

"You're so different than the rest" i said to her. "Why won't you let me in, like you did tonight?" I asked her. Of course she didn't reply me. "Do you even know that I like you a lot?" I confessed. I lightly kissed her on the lips then on the forehead, hoping that she won't wake up from her sleep. I tucked her in. I stood up with the help of my crutches and went back to bed. Going back to dreamland.
