Chapter 1: Deal

CHOI GROUP OF COMPANIES

“Come in” Minjeong commanded when someone knocked into his door, he thought it was Secretary Rain. His eyes widen in shock when he saw, Choi Jihoong, his best friend, it’s been years since they didn’t see each other.

“Long time no see” Jihoong greeted

“Yeah, what brings you here?” Minjeong asked

“Nothing, I just want to check on my BEST FRIEND, what’s up?” Jihoong asked, Minjeong was confused since it’s been years since they didn’t saw each other, what’s more confusing is the emphasis he added on the word BEST FRIEND.

“Seriously, what’s the matter? You know I have lots of work to do,” Minjeong asked seriously

“Okay, I know I can’t prank you or whatsoever, you’ve never changed. So, you know my son right?” Jihoong asked

“Choi Minho, your only son, probably the next heir of your company, right? What’s with him?” through those words, Minjeong is worried on where their talk would end up to.

“I want you to help him” he said shaking

Minjeong’s Office in Choi Mansion

“I want you to help my best friend’s son.” Minjeong said

“What kind of help? Who is he?” Sulli thought

“He is one of the most well-known guys in Hayana University, not because of his looks, reputation or anything but because he’s a guy who looks smart in the outside but the opposite in reality. That feature of his was a turn off for every person in or outside the university. He has been repeating college for almost 3 years now and whatever or whoever helped him would always end up losing the fierce battle. He is a cold-hearted person but he was once a warm person to everyone but one incident made him change to what he is now. His name is Choi Minho, the son of Choi Jihoong and Choi Seungha.” He explained

“Hayana University?!? The most prestigious university in Korea? The university Jonghyun-oppa and Taemin-oppa went in to? I thought you’re enrolling me to a university in Switzerland?” she asked in total disbelief

“I changed my plans, you’re not going to Switzerland. Yes, you’ll be going to Hayana University from now on, but you need to help him. Just for once, prove to me that you’re someone worth it of my name and blood.” He said seriously

“I know you’re smart and I know you can do this. This is for the sake of my best friend’s company and family and for yours too.. I know you won’t lose this battle” he added

Sulli thought about it and finally she said “I’ll accept the deal, Mr. Choi" then she bowed

“Good, now go back to your room and prepare for tonight’s dinner.” He said

“Dinner? With whom?” she can’t help but ask

“You’ll know later, now go.” He said coldly

Sulli then went straight to her bedroom, she’s so happy. Happy that her father already talked to her and that she’s sure someday he’ll finally accept her as his daughter.

“Choi Minho, whoever you are, thank you for coming to my life! Because of you, my father would accept me as his daughter! But I need to help you first, now you must cooperate with me!” she thought

She looked at her clock and checked the time, it’s 5:30 pm. The dinner would be at 6:00 pm she still has minutes to prepare. She picked up her skin colored dress and a pair of peach colored ballet flats. She took a quick shower and dressed up then combed her pretty long hair.

“Jinri, are you done?” Jihoon asked, knocking to her door.

“Almost done, appa” she said as she hurriedly put her shoes and put on some baby scent perfume.

“Mr. Choi told me that you’ll be going with him and his butler.” He said

“Is that so? You’re not coming with me?” she asked pouting

“Yes, Mr. Choi told me to do something. He’s waiting outside, so go now. Bye!” he said

“Bye appa! Slowly my dreams would come true!” she said

She went down and saw her brothers and her step-mother, Jinah.

“You look pretty today Jin!” Taemin complimented

“She always does, are you that blind?” Jonghyun asked jokingly that made Sulli laugh shyly

“Let’s go now, your father is waiting for us” Jinah sai
