14TH THREAD
The Last ThreadA hoard of running feet can be heard coming closer and closer towards me.
"What happened? Are you okay, Snow Woman?" One girl quietly asked as she approached me. Why is this female specimen speaking to me? Not once in my life have I ever seen her formulate a conversation with me—but that should be the least of my worries.
I was still in shock about the eyeball's attention on me, so I figured that this issue was much more worth my time, "D-don't you g-g-guys s-see it?"
"See what? You being scared?" One guy spoke as a myriad of giggles had spread throughout the mini huddle group around me. How is this a laughing matter? Somehow, I cannot understand how human beings think, "Snow Woman is actually scared!"
"The eyeball dammit!" I don't care if this is the first time they have heard me swear, or speak at the very least, but I have a reason to swear at this given moment. Maybe their eyes are betraying them. That's why they're unable to see the eye.
"I think you're crazy. Scratch that, you should really check into a mental institution."
"Yeah."
"Totally."
"I agree."
"Yah! What is going on here?" A familiar voice screams so suddenly. Of course, V appears with his messy bed head hair, "I woke up because of all this noise. Why do you people have to be so loud?" The group suddenly became silent after hearing V speak. I swear V and the Bangtan Boys are the ring leaders of this school. It's strange what popularity can do.
"V, please tell me if you can see it. You can see it, right?" I screamed as I pointed towards the eyeball that remained in it's place, "Can you see it?"
"Um, Snow Woman, what exactly am I supposed to see? I can only see the disturbing people that disrupted my sleep!" V yelled with anger in his tone. Yikes. Is this how humans are like when they wake up?
Tears started forming in my eyes, "The eyeball dammit, the eyeball. It keeps looking at me," I cried as I pointed towards the eyeball. I swear this thing is giving me more misery by the second.
He scratched his head, "What eyeball? I don't see anything," Everyone remained silent throughout our conversation. I can't believe he can't see it either.
"A-Are you sure?" I asked once again. I can't believe no one can see it. Why is it only me?
"Aishhh," V sighed while rubbing his forehead, "Well, maybe you're just tired. Look, I'm just going back to take a nap, I get crabby when I get disturbed from my sleep. We'll talk about this during lunch, okay?" V patted the top of my head, then turned around and walked back to the area in the library that he was napping at.
"Mmm," I silently and slowly nodded as I faced the ground and everyone quickly dispersed from the large hoard of people. I can't believe everyone was just staring at us just now.
Ever since I've encountered that treacherous evil entity, my life has been a spiraling depth of hell. Bad things just keep happening to me.
I started walking closer to the eye, and yet, it still remains in its place, " you" I grimly mumbled as I stepped on the eye. To my surprise, it disappeared without a trace. I didn't feel anything under my shoe, nor was there a mess on the library floor.
It's like it wasn't there at all...
"So you're saying that you saw an eyeball on the floor, and no one else saw it? Because I'm 100% sure that I didn't see anything on the ground..." V sipped on his banana milk. Both of us decided to eat lunch outside where plenty of tables and benches were spread across the school yard.
I heaved a sigh, "Yes, I saw it with my own eyes, but no one, not even you believed me...I felt so scared of it," I pounded my fists against the table, "You, the only person that I talk to in this school couldn't even see it. It just bothers me," I shakily mumbled while looking down. Why couldn't anyone else see it? Why me?
"Aish, you know what? what if you had powers and you can spot out weird things?" V questioned with an excited smile on his face, "That would be so cool! Wouldn't it?" Is he onto something? "Did you hear what I just said? I said cool you know, because you're Snow Woman, and snow is cool...ge
