Afterwards when they got back to the dorm, Baekhyun suggested a movie marathon of the past x-men movies since Robin haven’t watch them before. This resulted in both of them eventually sleeping at 4am, and not waking up till about 11am.

Stretching herself awake, Robin rolled to the side of her bed and grabbed her phone to check the time. Her eyes could barely open when she realized there was 6 missed call from Leah. She sat up on her bed, let out a lazy yawn as she listened to her voicemail.

“ Hellloooo where are you guys!?!” Leah’s voice flooded her phone. “ Why haven’t you answered any of my calls? Were you abducted by the aliens or something? Look, we’re about to leave now and I can’t hold out any longer. Just get up and come here as soon as you can will you? Baekhyun knows where it is!”

“ I could hear her voice even from here,” mumbled Baekhyun as he stumbled clumsily towards the bathroom.

Leah mentally slapped her own forehead. That’s right. There’s a beach party tonight that they were supposed to help organize and they were supposed to meet at Suho’s dorm this morning to hitch a ride! Oh gosh, how long have they slept? The beach must be at least two hours away and she has no idea how to get there without a car..

Falling back into her bed, Robin groaned. She laid there and didn’t move until Baekhyun reappeared after a shower and chased her to get one too.

“ Do you know how to get there? ” Robin sighed out. If only they had gotten up earlier, they could have slept in the comfort of Suho’s big car while he drives them to the beach. Baekhyun shrugged, as he toweled his hair.

“ How difficult can it be? We’ll just take the subway.. or a bus or something. I’ve got this,” he assured her.

However two hours later, it appeared that Baekhyun infact, haven’t got it.

“ You didn’t bring your terrifying purple elephant pyjamas for tonight did you?”, Baekhyun suddenly asked as they were getting off the bus. Finally, the beach came into sight of a painful long lost journey. Robin frowned in response to Baekyeon’s words.

“ What’s wrong with them? They’re cute!” she protested back.

Baekhyun scoffed. “They gave me nightmares! I’ve dreamt of them chasing me down two blocks and trust me that is creepy”.

Robin suddenly felt the need to protect her favourite childhood pyjamas. “ You’re being overly dramatic seriously. I bet everyone else will find them cute and you’re just jealous of that!”

Baekhyun laughed. “ You clearly have not been to a beach party before. No one wears pyjamas to sleep in a tent on the beach you know,”

“ So what do people wear to sleep here, bikini?,” Robin shot back.

Baekhyun grinned. “ Not really but that’s not a bad idea. Will you wear it to sleep instead if I bought one for you now?”

Robin hit Baekhyun as she laughed. He’s such a silly ert.

“ What?” he argued back. “ I’m just saying anything would look better than those creepy purple elephants!”

Robin rolled her eyes. “ No thanks and you don’t have to worry about that, lucky for you I didn’t bring them.”

They were now walking towards the beach. It was near evening now and the weather was cozy. The view of the beach came nearer into sight and the sound of the crashing waves were so soothing. They strolled down slowly, enjoying the cool wind and perfect clear sky. This was actually really nice and Robin thought it was pretty romantic. Here they were, taking a nice stroll on the beach together, joking and laughing about random things. Suddenly she wished she could enjoy this longer, and that the distance to wherever everyone else were would be further.

With Baekhyun she’s always felt so happy, comfortable and relaxed.

As Robin took another step, she felt a sharp tug on her left feet. This prompted her to stop, as she pulled her feet up from the sand. Then she began to realized, her flip flop had broken.

“ What’s wrong?,” Baekhyun asked, as he stopped walking too and looked down at her feet. He laughed once he saw what had happened.

Robin grumbled as she picked up the remaining of her useless flip flop. She mentally cursed it and reminded herself to never ever buy cheap flip flops ever again, despite knowing well she would not heed this advice in the future anyway.

“ There’s probably a convenient store nearby where we can buy a new pair of flip flops. It’s probably not far away. Come on I’ll bring you there,” Baekhyun offered, and urged her to continue walking. But as he took a few more steps forward, he realized that Robin wasn’t at his side. He turned around and saw her standing still at the same spot.

“ What’re you doing?”

“ I’m scared.” Robin muttered, as she stood pale-face at where she was.

“ Of what?”

Robin sighed out. How can she handle this without sounding retarded?

“ Crabs.. and weird stuff that’s underneath all these sand..” she shut her eyes. “They.. they might pinch my feet! It’s creepy and I’m scared. I can’t. I really can’t walk barefooted! ” Robin gasped, overcome by her irrational fear. Her intention was to make Baekhyun understand and be compassionate, but the result was the exact opposite. He burst into laughter the moment she finished talking.

He held his stomach, crouching in laughter.

Robin threw her arms up in frustation. “ It’s not funny okay? I’m being serious here!”

Still laughing, Baekhyun walked back towards Robin. Pouting, Robin pushed Baekhyun away from her, but he sprang right towards her and smiled warmly. He couldn’t imagine someone cuter than Robin right now.

“ You really believe that?” he teased. Robin crossed her arms in protest. “If you’re not afraid of the pinching crabs then fine, that’s great for you. Lend me your flip flops and you can walk barefooted like the brave guy you are!”, she shot back in spite.

“ You have smelly feet I won’t allow that,” Baekhyun shook his head, teasing her even more. He just loved seeing her flustered.

Robin blinked. “ Excuse me? First of all, I do NOT have a smelly stinky feet!,” she said, jabbing at his chest with her finger as she defended herself. “ and secondly, don’t be a such a meanie. Lend me your flip flops! I’ll… buy them from you right now!,”

Baekhyun chuckled and shook his head. “ No I’m not selling my flip flop to anybody. What do you take me for? A cheap guy who sells his flip flop to just anyone? No way! They’re too big for you anyway.” Then he made a suggestion, “ How about you buy me a drink later and I’ll piggyback you right now?”

Robin considered his offer. It was tempting. Except that it was also dangerously sweet as well. She’s always thought this sorta stuff was for couples and to be doing that now might make her fall for Baekhyun even more. Why does he have to be so nice to her? Ever since the pool party.. it’s like they’re sort of flirting and its weird and confusing, yet she kinda likes it.

Looking at Baekhyun who was earnestly waiting for her answer, Robin conceded. “Fine.” She hopped onto his back. Surprising, he was much strong than he looked. He began walking ahead as Robin wrapped her arms around his neck. He was whistling a happy song. Knowing that Baekhyun couldn’t see her now, she quietly broke into a shy smile.
