*The day before*

 

 

"Duizhang! Can w-we s-stop n-now???" I asked with my face flat on the court. My body was dripping with sweat and I was out of breath. Meanwhile, Kris hyung just stood there with an evil grin printed on his face. "Not until I say so, Jong In."

 

 

I groaned in exhaustion as I tried to continue what I was doing. Damn! I should've just kept my mouth shut yesterday! Now look where it got me! 

 

 

I looked around and saw that I wasn't the only one regretting...

 

 

 

 

Ten other guys were suffering the same fate as I was. We were all on the floor with beads of sweat rushing down our bodies. Our faces were all full of exhaustion. Everyone was feeling hot and tired. Well, everyone except one.

 

 

"Seven more push-ups, guys. Come on!" Duizhang's voice echoed all throughout the gymnasium. That was when I started my countdown to freedom...

2...

 

 

 

"ONE!!! OH YEAH!!!" And the whole gym was filled with sounds of victory. FINALLY. I immediately stood up and wiped the sweat from my face. It's 9 in the morning and I''m already sweating as hell when I should be reserving my energy for more important things later. *wink*

 

 

"Okay guys, 30 minutes break. We'll continue practicing later." Kris said before he exited the gym. 

 

 

"Waah!!! Duizhang is really something else! imagine, he made us do 100 push-ups just because we disturbed their moment!" Baekhyun groaned as he sat down the bleachers to rest.

 

 

"Yah! They were *this* close to kissing! Of course, Kris would be furious as hell... Now that I think about it, his face was priceless that time~ Hahaha!" Chanyeol was laughing so hard, tears were forming at the corner of his eyes.

 

 

I smirked as the image of Kris' face flashed through my mind. He really looked kinda stupid that time. XD

 

 

"But at least we can stop worrying about him now... He seems happy with Amber." Lay joined in the conversation and all of us couldn't help but nod.

 

 

"Amber seems to feel the same for Kris too..." Suho said as he wiped the sweat from his forehead. "But they don't want to admit it to each other."

 

 

"Tss. Typical Duizhang... Always hiding his emotions." Sehun commented.

 

 

"And Amber's really into him now." Xiumin spoke as he walked towards us. "I think we all saw the way she looked at him earlier... It just shows that she feels something for him too..."

 

 

"So, what do we do? Do we help them or something?" Kyungsoo asked. "I mean, what am I saying, of course we have to help them!" He gave us a smile and the rest of us nodded in agreement.

 

 

"But how do we do that when they don't even want to admit to themselves?" Chen asked.

 

 

"Well, this is gonna be difficult... But we have to try and do everything it takes to bring those two together." Luhan answered.

 

 

"I think I have an idea..." Tao said as he spun the basketball on his finger with a sly grin on his face.

 

 

"Yah Huang Zi Tao, what's with the grin???" Chanyeol commented. "Lose it bro! It's freaking me out!"

 

 

"Your face looks creepier than Kyungsoo's... and that's saying something considering how creepy his eyes can be..." Baekhyun added with a smirk.

 

 

"Shut up, Bacon." DO glared. His eyes twice their normal size. Baekhyun was right... It really is creepy...

 

 

"Drop it kiddos. Let's get back to the main topic here..." Suho intervened. "What was it you were gonna say, Tao?"

 

 

"As I was saying, I have a plan to make Amber and Kris realize their true feelings for each other..."

 

 

"Well, what is it?" I asked. All of us were looking at him with anticipation in our eyes...

 

 

"It goes like this..." All of us were huddled together just like what we do before any game as Tao relayed his plan to us... We listened carefully as he talked... 

 

 

Finally, after what seemed like forever, he finished telling us about it. 

 

 

It's a really brilliant plan... I never thought Tao could come up with something as brilliant as this... 

 

 

My only question is... WHY DID I NOT THINK ABOUT IT?!!  ( -_-) 

 

 

 ----------------------------------------------------------------KRIS WU'S POV-------------------------------------------------------------------

 

*THAT NIGHT*

 

 

*Scccccrrrrreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeccccchhhhhh* 

 

 

"What the?" I said when I realized that nothing actually hit me. I lowered my arms and saw someone standing in front of my car. 

 

 

"You really think I'm gonna hit you?" A voice spoke and I smirked.

 

 

"The hell bro!" I replied while getting out of my car. "Seriously, you got me right there."

 

 

"Shut up, Duizhang." Tao grinned. "But your expression was priceless though. I regret not recording it..."

 

 

"One of these days, you are really gonna pay for this, Huang Zi Tao." I lightly punched his arm. "You scared the hell out of me."

 

 

"Whatever. Anyway, I wasn't here just to scare you..." Tao said as he threw a can of soda towards me. I caught the can in midair, opened it and allowed the ice-cold soda to gush down my throat. "So, what else were you planning to do aside from giving me a heart attack?" I said as I grinned and continued to drink the soda.

 

 

"I wanted to talk to you about Amber." Tao spoke up and I lowered the can.

 

 

"What about Amber?"

 

 

"Come on, Duizhang... We all know you have feelings for her." Tao said looking at me straight in the eyes.

 

 

"I- I don't know..." I looked away. "I'm not sure..."

 

 

"Oh, come on." Tao exhaled. "It's so obvious. The way you look at her, the way you act around her, the way you stare at each other like there's nothing else that matters in the world except the two of you... You can't fake that, Kris." 

 

 

I looked at Tao and I saw that he was really dead serious about this... He only calls me by my name when he's serious about something...

 

 

"I just want you to be happy, Kris." Tao continued. "And this time, I want you to be with the right girl."

 

 

I gave him a small smile as I placed the can of soda on top of my car's hood. "You didn't let me finish my sentence, Tao..."

 

 

 

 

"I don't know how to tell her that I love her and I'm not sure if she love me too..." I spoke as I gave Tao a genuine smile. "All I know is that I love her and all I'm sure of is that my feelings for her will never change..."

 

 

 

 

"You should've said that earlier." Tao grinned. "But do you really think Amber doesn't like you?"

 

 

"There are some times when I would feel that she feels the same about me too..." I answered. "But I immediately dismiss the thought because I remember about the deal and how she might just be doing it out of pity..." My eyes were focused on the pavement where Tao and I was standing.

 

 

"But it would be great if she did though..." I grinned and Tao patted me on my back.

 

 

"Do you wanna find out how she really feels about you, Kris?" He asked.

 

 

"How?" I furrowed my brows as I looked at him. "How are we gonna do that?"

 

 

"Easy." Tao smirked. "Just like this..."

 

 

And we spent about 20 minutes talking about his plan... As we finished discussing about it, I realized that there were only two possible outcomes from this plan... 

 

 

 

Either she gets really pissed off at me or we both admit our feelings to each other.

 

 

 

This is gonna be awesome.

 

 

-----------------------------------------------------------------------AMBER'S POV--------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

 

"Kris Wu, you stupid dragon..." I whispered as I touched his face. "Why did you call me when you were supposed to be paying attention to your surroundings!!!" My voice was higher than normal as my grip on his hand tightened. "And what were you doing near our village?!! Huh?!! You really are a stupid dragon!!!"

 

 

"But even though you can be stupid and cold and annoying and disturbing and irritating and bossy and arrogant and selfish and narcissistic and everything...

 

 

 

 

 

 

I still fell in love with you..." I sniffed. The tears were still endlessly pouring down my eyes.

 

 

"Please wake up already... I promise to answer your every call and be with you 24/7... I don't care if Victoria-unnie scolds me for being unlady-like and everything... I promise to accompany you to every game and every practice and even cheer for you at the top of my lungs..." I paused for a moment, trying to calm myself.

 

 

 

 

"You still owe me an infinite number of wishes, right? Remember our deal? I become your girlfriend then you will grant me anything I wish for, remember that?" My mind went back to the time when we agreed to pretend to be in a relationship just to make Jessica jealous.

 

 

Although now, I feel a slight pang in my heart because it reminds me that we are not even a real couple...

 

 

 

"I didn't even wish for anything yet but this time, I'm using my infinite number of wishes just to have you back..." I said while I ran my fingers through his hair. I don't know what I would do without you, Kris...

 

 

 

 

 

"I love you, Kris." I placed my head on his hand and let my tears flow. I'm willing to do anything just to have him back... "Please wake up."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

"You mean it?!!" I felt his hand move. What's going on???

 

 

I lifted my head and there he was... Kris Wu. Sitting on the hospital bed and smiling like an idiot... 

 

 

"Wait. What? I thought you were..." I spoke but he cut me off...

 

 

"Do you really mean it??? What you said earlier??? Do you really love me, Amber?" His eyes glimered and it didn't look like he was in a critical condition at all. 

 

 

"Wait a minute, are you messing around with me, Kris Wu?!!!" I shouted and he just grinned at me. "Sorry- Hey!!!"

 

 

I didn't give him time to apologize. I started hitting him. "Yah! That really hurts you know!!!"

 

 

"Oh really?" I asked. "Good. Because my aim was to hit you so hard, you would be lying in the hospital bed again but this time, it's for real"

 

 

"Owww!!! Hey!!! Careful with that!" He exclaimed as I chased him around the room. Unfortunately I tripped on one of the wires that was previously connected to him and I stumbled...

 

 

But before I could hit the ground, Kris was able to catch me so I ended up landing on his arms. He was on top of me and was staring right into my eyes. I tried looking away but he held my cheek and prevented me from turning my head...

 

 

"Are you alright?" He asked, still looking at me intently. I only nodded in response.

 

 

"Good. Because I'm about to ask you something..." He said.

 

 

 

"The thing you said earlier, do you really mean it?" He smiled and I swear I could melt. His eyes were still on me and our faces were inches apart...

 

 

 

There's no use hiding it now, Amber... I said to myself. 

 

 

"Y-yes." I could feel myself blushing as I looked down, avoiding his gaze... Here comes total humiliation...

 

 

"Good." He answered.

 

 

 

 

"Because I love you too..."

 

 

 

 

And with that, he closed the distance between us... I could feel him smiling as our lips met.

 

 

I closed my eyes and savored the moment... I just couldn't believe this is happening.

 

 

As we parted, I felt a tear run down my cheek... Kris then wiped it away with his thumb... 

 

 

"I love you, Amber..." He whispered as he placed a kiss on my head. "I'm sorry it took me so long to tell you..."

 

 

"I love you too. Kris..." I replied and I realized that I was still sitting on the floor and that he was still crouched down. "But you might want to help me up first..." I grinned.

 

 

"Right." He answered as he helped me stand up. We then heard a round of applause coming from the other end of the room...

 

 

"That was so romantic, you guys!" Lay exclaimed.

 

 

"Encore! Encore! We want more!!!" Sehun cheered.

 

 

"Happy to see the both of you smiling~" Suho added. "All the acting was definitely worth it..."

 

 

"So does this mean..." Kai shifted his eyes from Kris then towards me... "Are you guys..."

 

 

"Are we what?" I asked with a puzzled look on my face.

 

 

"Don't tell me you guys haven't made it official yet?!!" Tao shrieked. "KRIS!!!"

 

 

"I was about to, when you guys came out of nowhere and ruined the moment..." Kris said with a pissed look on his face nd I couldn't help but smile at his childishness...

 

 

"Oops... I told you guys... we shouldn''t have entered immediately..." Chanyeol spoke.

 

 

"Shut up, Chanyeol. You were the one who opened the door..." Xiumin snorted. "Anyway, you guys have to make it official."

 

 

"Good thing Vic-unni, Luna, Krystal and Sulli aren't here..." I whispered to Kris. "The room would've been noisier..."

 

 

 

"Excuse me, Amber Josephine Liu! We're here too!" I heard four very familiar voices and the door of the comfort room swung open.

 

 

 

"WHAT THE FUDGE?!! You girls are part of this too?!!!" My jaw dropped as the four of them jumped out of the comfort room

.

 

 

"Uhm... yes. Why the hell would we be hiding in that small room if we weren't~" (>_<) Sulli replied. "Anyway, CONGRATS BER!!! OMG!!! YOU FINALLY ARE A WOMAN!!! LOOK AT YOU!!! OMG OMG OMG!!!"

 

 

"You finally found the guy who could make you run out of your house at 2am with a mismatched pair of slippers!!! HAHAHAHA!!! I'm soooo happy for you girl!!" Luna shrieked. That was the time I realized that she was right. My slippers were mismatched. I glared at the giant beside me who was trying hard to hold his laughter...

 

 

"This is all because of you, stupid." I mouthed as I hit him hard in the arm. "Yah, it's not my fault that I'm handsome." He grinned.

 

 

"And what does that have to do with my slippers being mismatched???" I asked him with my hands on my hips. 

 

 

"My handsomeness is one of the reasons why you fell for me... And you rushed over because you were in love with me so yeah... My handsomeness relates to it." He smirked and I couldn't help but roll my eyes. "Psh."

 

 

"Happy to see you happy, dear Ambie!" Victoria-unnie hugged me and I hugged her even tighter. "Thanks for the advice, unnie!" I repied.

 

 

"Honestly, I'm just so happy to see that you've finally found someone who can tolerate you~" Victoria unnie smiled. "Does Kris know what kind trouble he just got himself into?"

 

 

"Unnie-ah!" I pouted as she ruffled my hair. "Thanks for always being there for me when I need someone to talk to unnie~"

 

 

"And now, you're gonna have someone else to talk to whenever you need to..." Victoria-unnie said as she motioned Kris to move closer to us. "Take care of my baby sister, okay? Or else, I'll break your bones and send your soul to hell..." 

 

 

"Unnie! You're scaring the hell out of him!" I exclaimed.

 

 

"You have my word, Victoria noona." Kris gave her a smile as he placed his around my waist. "I'll take care of her."

 

 

"Good." Unnie smiled. "But are you guys already...?"

 

 

Kris held both of my hands and looked at me straight in the eye... We just stood there... Amidst all the noise and people... our eyes on each other... Kris gave me a small smile as he pulled me into his arms for a tight embrace. He then whispered something that made my heart sigh...

 

 

 

 

"Amber Josephine Liu, love, will you be my girlfriend?"

 

 

 

I smiled and wiped the tears in the corner of my eyes...

 

 

 

 

 

"Yes." I whispered. And the whole room cheered... But I couldn't hear anything else except our hearts which were beating in the same rhythm... I couldn't feel anything else except the warmth of his embrace... I wrapped my arms around his nape and placed my lips next to his ears...

 

 

 

 

"I love you, Kris..." I whispered.

 

 

 

 

"I love you more, Amber." He whispered back as he hugged me tight. "More than you'll ever know."

 

 

 

 

 

And the butterflies in my stomach came to life. <3
