You hear the shower head being turned off and the door being opened. You chew on the inside of your mouth as you wait for him to come out.

You're taken back a bit to find a shirtless, still wet Daehyun standing, shocked to see you waiting outside the bedroom door. You see that he only has the bath towel around his waist, immediately telling you that he must have thought that he was home alone.

You feel yourself snort at how pathetic this is. Yeah, you weren't in the bedroom but obviously you'd still be home after staying up so late the night before.

You stand there, eye to eye, waiting for him to say something. At least to apologize for last night which made you sleep on the couch, instead of an actual bed.

But you get nothing.

It starts to get awkward, the silence. He has nothing to say, you have nothing to say. So you take a deep breath to speak up.

"Why were you out so late last night?"

Your question seems to surprise him, huh strange. He looks at you in confusion as he opens his mouth to say something, but nothing comes out.

"Daehyun," you try to steady your voice, "I want to know what happened last night. Between us, even."

He looks at you carefully. "Wait... Something happened last night?"

You can't help it anymore. You take your hand and slap across his face, feeling your angry tears come out uncontrollably. How can he do this to you? This is not the man you married. This is not the man of your child.

"Of course something happened!" you yell through your tears. "Not answering any of my calls or texts, coming home past two to not answer any of my questions! Lying to me! What am I to you now? Did you meet some chick at the bar last night? Is that what happened? And don't say that you weren't drinking, you damn liar!"

You turn your head away from him and walk away, you grab your bag and keys, heading for the door.
