You walked out of the car with Yongguk, feeling the soft sand underneath your feet. Yongguk carefully took your hand as he lead you down towards the crashing waves, having told you previously that he wanted you to see the seaside at night.

You kept one hand in his and one hand on your now pretty large stomach, smiling at the scenery in front.

"Yongguk, it's absolutely beautiful."

He squeezed your hand and gave you a gummy smile in response.

He then broke the silence, his question making you lose your footing and almost fall over to your side for a moment.

"___... You know that I love you, right?"

You looked at him, for this was the first time he has ever used the word, 'love' in your entire relationship. You gave him a shy smile and nodded slowly. Of course you knew that he loved you, it was whether or not you did that was the question.

You liked him, you admit. Yongguk was absolutely perfect in terms of a boyfriend. Stable job, understanding, calm, loving, but the air between you two had never sparked like you remember sparking with Daehyun.

Yes, you still thought about Daehyun. You thought of him, a lot.

You noticed Yongguk looking at you, probably waiting for you to say something back. You didn't know what to say, you just couldn't bear to lie, but couldn't bear to break his heart. You couldn't admit that you were the pathetic one who couldn't forget her first love when he went off to cheat on you. For goodness sake, you were still pregnant with his baby.

Your thoughts were disturbed when you heard a phone go off.

Yongguk sighed as he saw it was a business call and excused himself as he headed back towards the car to take the call. He mouthed the words, "I'll be real quick" and pecked your cheek before leaving you with the waves in front.

You looked out at the ocean, a memory sparking inside of your mind.

"Where are you taking me?"

"Just wait, jagi. You'd love it."

You felt him almost lose his footing underneath, he grunted as he managed to keep you up in his arms still.

"Jung Daehyun, I swear, if you drop me-"

"I won't, I won't," he chuckled. "Don't you trust me?"

You kept quiet and waited for him to take you wherever it was he was taking you. You heard the noise of the waves in front and tensed up as he put you down so your feet would kiss the waters below.

He placed you slowly and removed the blindfold, smiling when he saw you gasp at the site.

Now you knew why he was so into leaving the house so early in the morning.

"The... The sunrise," you whispered softly as you watched the sky being painted with wonderful shades of orange.

"Jagi, I knew that you like scenery and didn't think that you've ever seen a sunrise on the beach." He took your hand into his and kissed you softly.

"No, I haven't. Daehyun, I love it. Thank you, thank you so much. It's so beautiful."

"You're still prettier," he smiled, embarrassed at how cheesy he sounded.

You smiled back at him but froze when he withdrew his hand from yours. You looked at him in question as he bent down in front of you. You felt yourself become speechless as he got down on one knee, giving you a shy smile as he asked the question he has been anticipating to tell you for so long.

"___, will you marry me?"

"Daehyun... Yes."

You heard footsteps behind you and assuming it was Yongguk, you turned around, noting that it was the shortest business call he has ever had since you've met him.

But it wasn't Yongguk.

He looked at you in just as much shock. "___... Is that really you?"

You looked at him carefully, immediately remembering him when you heard his voice.

"Youngjae?"

By the way, for those who are confused. This chapter technically happens before the scene in the hospital. I don't know if I'm still confusing you but GUESS WHAT, THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND EHUHUHUH.
