In the year 2020, Choi Seunghyun is now the father to two adorable children. With his fraternal daughter and son in mind, he tries to live his life the way a good role model would. One night, the twins catch him by surprise by asking him to tell the story of how they met their mother.
How would Seunghyun explain his story when it was so complicated, messy, and not to mention unsuitable for children?
Main Characters:
Im Yoona
Everyone in Korea knew who Im Yoona was. She was the face of SNSD, Korea’s most successful and popular girl group. With appearances in various dramas, shows, and commercials, she is the top grossing girl group member during her time. Although it seems as if she was living in a perfect world, her life is far from perfection.
Although Yoona holds a very feminine and gentle image, she is actually very loud, sometimes tomboyish, and often violent when her limits are pushed too much. She is really stubborn, hardheaded, and defiant over those who try to control her, but she is also kindhearted, loving, and very generous with what she has.
Choi Seunghyun
At the young age of 25, Choi Seunghyun had already accomplished the unimaginable. He was the world leader in the business specializing in technology, electronics, and advanced weaponry. Because he grew up in a very poor family, he takes great pride in his work and often puts his career above anything else. Although he is extremely aggressive and cruel when it comes to business practices, he often tries to make his decisions based on what is better for the masses that heavily rely on him. He is also the eldest member of the big five, which is what South Korea called the five richest and most influential businessmen in the country.
Because he ranked as the richest man in South Korea, he believes that all women are only after his money and that women put up a façade to trick him into getting what they want. Because of his belief, he thinks that tricking women before they can trick him is the solution to avoid being used. Although he believes that most women are the roots to evil, he considers certain women who have impacted his life as his only weaknesses.
Supporting Characters:
· Jung Jessica
o She is a main vocalist in SNSD. Although she always teases Yoona with Seunghyun, she is a supporter in their relationship.
· Hwang Tiffany
o Tiffany is another vocalist in SNSD. She seems to be a bit stubborn and hardheaded, but her heart is pure and loving.
· Kim Taeyeon
o As the leader of the national girl group of Korea, she is very protective of her friends, especially Yoona after she becomes involved with her best friend, Choi Seunghyun.
· Kwon Jiyong
o As the CEO of Asia’s most popular television channel and film production company, the media is all in his hands. He may come off as pompous, but he has a kind heart. He is the third oldest in the big five.
· Dong Young Bae
o As the president of the most successful hotel chain in Asia, he rules his company with a lot of compassion and hard work. He is the second oldest in the big five, but he often goes to his dongsaengs and hyung for advice in life and women in general (since he has no prior experience).
· Kang Daesung
o Daesung is the president of the most popular clothing line in South Korea. He also owns a chain of cafes that are widely known in Korea. Although he does have minor playboy habits, he is serious and focused when it comes to work.
· Lee Seungri
o Seungri is the CEO of one of Asia’s biggest oil companies. He lives life carelessly, and because he’s rich and powerful, no one can really stop him from living life the way he wants.
· Jang Wooyoung
o He is the director of marketing in Seunghyun’s company, but he is also a close friend of his. Wooyoung always gets into trouble and runs into inconveniences due to Seunghyun’s outrageous requests that were not listed in his job description.

Foreword
Seunghyun loosened his tie as he looked out the window. The chauffeur kept completely silent as the corporate mogul tried to recollect of what had happened throughout his workday. He obviously wasn’t in a good mood. A lot of his workers were playing pranks on each other, but they all stopped as soon as he entered the building. They knew that he wasn’t going to be in a good mood for a long time because of the fact that his wife wasn’t there.
He would have never guessed that a woman would be his only weakness. She had been his only weakness until she gave him a beautiful son and daughter five years ago. Now, he could consider the three of them as his weaknesses.
The car halted and was parked to the side. A butler opened the door as he stepped out from the limousine. He normally drove to work in his Mercedes CL65, but because Yoona wasn’t there anymore to nag at him to drive himself to work, he took advantage of the chauffeur.
A maid took his briefcase for him as she walked beside him. He turned to his side and gave her a gentle smile. That maid was taking care of his children when he was at work, so he was very kind to her. Seunghyun looked at his watch to see that it was already 9 pm. It was another day that he went to home late. He was sure that his children would be angry with him. They had adapted that from their mother.
“How are Hana and Vick?” Seunghyun asked.
“They had just brushed their teeth, and they’re set to go to bed,” the maid answered.
He weakly smiled, “Good. I’ll take it from here. I’ll put them to bed.”

Seunghyun’s POV
I had just changed out of my suit and into my pajamas. I wore a pair of dark blue pajama pants and a white t-shirt. I walked over to my children’s bedroom, which was only a few doors away from my bedroom. Hana and Vick were still at the stage in their lives where they wanted to sleep in the same bedroom because they still believed in monsters and ghosts. I opened the door slowly to see that they were arguing with each other.
“I’m telling you to the truth!” Vick yelled, “I saw mommy on TV! She was with another guy…and that guy wasn’t daddy! Nanny tried to turn off the TV because she said I shouldn’t see that. She said I’m not old enough. That’s why mommy’s never here anymore! She got divorced from daddy, and she’s with another man! Daddy just doesn’t want to tell us the truth.”
Hana covered her ears as she tried to ignore Vick. Hana closed her eyes as tears began to escape from her eyes. My poor angel was crying because of her older brother.
I still remembered when they were both born. When I found out that we were having twins, I was ecstatic because I felt that God had given me double the blessing. Vick was born three minutes before Hana, and he always used that excuse to try to be prevalent over his sister. It was amusing that he even forced her to call him ‘oppa’ even if they were only minutes apart.
Hana saw the door open and ran into my arms immediately. I carried her into my arms as Vick stared at me with a pout. He had his arms crossed as he gave me a forbidding look. He was exactly like me, and Hana was exactly like Yoona.
“Daddy,” Hana cried, “Vick oppa said that you and mommy are separated. That’s why she’s never at home anymore.”
“Shh, let’s talk about that in the morning,” I said, “What your brother saw on television is really complicated. I’ll explain it tomorrow.”
Vick scoffed, “Do you promise?”
I was a bit hesitant, but I knew that we had to have the talk one day. I just didn’t want to let them face reality yet. They were my babies, and I knew that they wouldn’t understand much because it was too complicated.
“I promise,” I finally agreed, “Now, let’s get you to bed. You two have school in the morning.”
Hana and Vick agreed as they climbed into bed.
Hana looked exactly like Yoona. Her long brown hair went past her shoulders. I chuckled at the comical memory of when she refused to cut her hair. Like her mother, she loved it when her hair was long. Hana had the eyes that could look into your soul, and that was mainly the reason why I called her an angel. Her eyes could see past anyone.
Vick, on the other hand, looked a lot like me. He had black hair, a defined nose and jaw, and a cold look in his eyes. He was only five, but he acted like me, too. I was glad that I had a son because he was very protective over his sister. Just like me, he was a bit too territorial with his family and belongings. Although he wasn’t as sensitive as his sister, he showed a lot of potential to be a good leader one day. He had a good heart, and he was strong.
I tucked them into bed, but they both looked at me in that way…it was the way that their mother looked at me. I pressed my lips together as I sat on the foot of Hana’s bed.
“Don’t go yet, daddy,” Vick begged, “We don’t get to see you much.”
Hana agreed, “And we haven’t seen mommy in days. I miss my mommy and daddy.”
I could not say no to those two. They had a special place in my heart that I could never erase. I agreed as I smiled kindly at them. I swear they were two of the few people that I cared deeply for. Nothing could ever explain what fatherhood had done to me.
“Okay, what do you want to do?” I asked.
“I want to hear a story,” Hana suggested.
Vick hesitated but stated, “Daddy, if it doesn’t trouble you too much, we’d like to hear the story of how you met mommy.”
I thought they wanted to hear a story of some kind of stupid fairytale that every child wanted to hear, but I was wrong. I cupped my chin as I looked at them. They smiled at me, and my heart had already melted.
I didn’t know how to explain how I met their mother. My story with Yoona was long, complex, and it wasn’t very suitable for children. I made mistakes, Yoona made mistakes, and we sometimes let our weaknesses get to us. I couldn’t deny their request. Maybe I should just tell them a more proper version of my story with Yoona. For their sake, I should give less details about the violence and completely exempt any parts of the story that was ual. Maybe I should also change a few names.
“Okay,” I agreed, “I’ll tell you two the story of how I met your mother.”

Well, first of all, the three of us (Sunshine94, SherylR, and jessicajessica) would like to thank you for reading up to par! We hope that you subscribe and support this story. We would also like to state that this story will differ from the television show How I Met Your Mother, and if you watch it, you probably already noticed that unlike the show, we had already revealed who the mother was lol.
And the three of us were arguing with what their son and daughter's names should be, and we come to an agreement lol. We chose Seunghyun's character's name in IRIS and Yoona's character's name in Love Rain. Yes, it's a bit uncreative, but at least we're no longer arguing about it lol.
