Correction: I Love You Too
Backstage and Waiting Rooms
The studio was quiet when it’s Soyou of SISTAR’s turn to speak. She was nervous, all eyes were on her that she tried to keep her face cool.
Listen, she’s going to tell the world about her story.
“Oh, so you still have feelings for the person?”
“Yes.” She answered after hesitated. Let them know, at least she got a good story to tell. Soyou could hear murmurs from the crowd and also the fellow artists who’re sitting nearby.
She already planned to tell a story about this, who knew, that person could also be watching this broadcast? Why should he know? Maybe it would make her feel better, after all the heart wrenching wait.
“Our group always sings depressing songs. About a girl who’s always hoping for that special person to come back, right? Well, the truth is I’ve also experienced the same thing. That’s why my title is called ‘Do You Know My Heart?’” Soyou spoke while holding her board beside her. She smiled but somehow, it seemed faked.
“You know that I was the member with the least schedule, right? It started many years ago and being unnoticed was very hard for me. It made me feel like I’m lacking in some way. I always thought that ‘Oh, Hyorin Unnie sings well, Bora Unnie’s good in sports and variety. Dasom’s in acting. Where would I fit in?’” She stopped and chuckled when she could hear her fans, protesting.
“I was bored sitting around inside the dorm alone especially during nights. When I felt sad, I went out to drink. Nobody knew, nobody recognized me but one night, after a New Year concert years ago, we stayed in the hotel. And there’s this one person who tapped my back while I was putting my forehead onto the counter at the hotel’s bar.” Soyou continued while reenacting the scene while people were listening attentively to her story.
“I didn’t bother to look up but then, I heard him spoke. ‘What are you doing here? It’s not nice for an idol like you to be here. Hey, are you okay?’ When I heard him asking me that, I suddenly felt sad. Nobody even bothered to ask me that last question these days, I thought no one really cared about me. Then, I cried so hard because of that. It’s the first time I ever cried so hard and opened to up to someone after holding the sadness for quite some time.”
“That’s when you fell for him?” The MC asked.
“I never thought so, I just considered him as a friend at first. We occasionally bumped into each other, we talked and all but after he saw me in my weakest state the other day, I somehow felt closer to him. It’s like there’s a feeling, to have him close, to tell him stories but,”
“But?”
“I was waiting for him to confess but it turned out that he already had someone special in his heart.”
Reactions burst inside the huge studio when Soyou voiced out the last sentence.
“So, you never at least tried to tell him about your feelings?” Another question came.
“I tried. Well, not directly but he never seem to understand, so I thought I should let this feeling pass by.” She answered calmly.
“You’re still friends with this person?”
“Yeah but we rarely meet now since we’re both busy. I thought I still had that special feeling for him but when time passed by, I got so busy and when I lied down on my bed every night, I thought to myself
