The raven haired lady rubbed her sweaty palms in anxiety. The night was cold as she walked around in small circles at the spacious compound. She was not late, nor did he.  She just ended up coming there early for a reason she herself didn’t really knew.

“Can we meet tonight? I’ll wait for you at the heritage house at 11.”

Kang Jihyun reread the message countless times and sighed. Was this the right thing to do, she thought that to herself over and over again but still, she couldn’t get the real answer.

Her sight then roamed around the mesmerizing view of the small heritage house. How this place brought back old memories… beautiful ones to be exact.

“Soyou-ya…”

Before she could fly in her clouds of thoughts, Soyou could hear her name. Her stomach acted up, like it had always been since the first time she met him years ago.

“You’re here…” Her voice went out like a whisper after she turned around to face him.

She felt happy, and sad, frustrated, her mind’s all tangled, everything inside of her was messed up when she eyed his figure that was standing a few meters from her. Clad in a blue woolen sweater and a pair of dark pants, he was looking much more handsome than the last time she saw him. And at that time, she suddenly felt like crying when she looked at his face. She guessed that she just missed him too much.

That lad then, walked a few steps closer towards her and stopped. No words were spoken as they stared into each other eyes with the cold wind gently blowing onto their hair.

“It’s been a while… How are you?”

“I’m fine.” No, she was not. Kang Soyou was trying hard to hide everything from him, including her teary eyes.

“It’s cold, right? You’ve been here long?” His voice was flat but Soyou could see it in his small eyes. She knew exactly what Nam Woohyun was feeling at that time.

Your guard is up and I know why.

His laugh echoed throughout the empty waiting room.

“Wah, Kang Jihyun! You’re being too mean.”

“I know I’m being harsh but the truth is, I rarely see you these days. Woohyun-ssi., these past few years have been the best ones in my life but I don’t want to worry over anything in this period of time anymore. Thinking about you, how would you feel if I do this or do that, thinking when and how we are going to meet and so much other things… I don’t want to burden myself from having those feelings. At least not for now.”

“Really? Yah, is it that easy for you to say those words –“

Woohyun couldn’t finish his words when suddenly, Soyou’s phone rang.

“Sorry, Woohyun-ssi. The truth is, I’m not that sure about my feelings to you anymore. I hope you will move on. Let’s not greet each other when we meet in the future. Goodbye.”

“Soyou?”

Soyou… That felt so not right to her. It’s like she didn’t know him at all when he called her that. She shook her head and looked up to him.

“No, I just arrived. Thanks for coming.” A weak answer escaped from her lips.

“You’re shivering… You’re okay?” He asked, raising his brows but his question had already touched her little heart. Soyou crossed her arms and looked down to the dirt beneath her canvas shoes.

“I’m okay. How about you, what’ve you been up to these days?” She asked without looking into his eyes.

“Our tour just ended a few days back.”

“Oh, you must be tired…” She answered and let out a small laugh but it felt insincere.

So this is me swallowing my pride,
Standing in front of you saying, "I'm sorry for that night,"

“Soyou-ya, the reason you called me –“

“I missed you.” She finally let it out. Tear
