Scratch scratch scratch. Her pen glided across the paper, working so fast that every word was just a blur. Exams were approaching fast and due to the time she’s had off, she had a lot of catching up to do. The boys had promised Sunyoung that they would keep the noise minimin; surprisingly, they were very good at it. The only noises that could be heard were the sounds of Chanyeol softly strumming his guitar, and Suho’s angelic voice singing quietly along to the tune. There were slight rustlings of packets a Kai and Kyungsoo quietly prepared dinner, along with the occasional shuffling feet of a tired Xiumin and Lay. Baekhyun had disappeared through his bedroom around lunch time, and he hadn’t returned since. The slight quacking coming from the bathroom made Sunyoung guess that Chen was taking a bath. Sehun, Luhan and Kris were sat at the opposite end of  the table, quietly playing Go Fish with a pack of cards they found in the hallway cupboard. These noises didn’t disturb her though; they just merely filled the silence around her. Sunyoung was worried though; Tao had disappeared sometime around lunch and had yet to show up. She sighed and looked at her watch.

“Huang Zitao, where in the world could you be?” She muttered and stretched. It was time to take a break; she had been working herself to the bone ever since she arrived home after the vacation. She sauntered into the kitchen and smiled wearily at the two males making dinner. Kai frowned and walked up to her, lightly brushing the pads of his thumbs over the dark circles under her eyes.

“You haven’t been sleeping. Even though you’ve been studying for exams you still need sleep.” He said as she gently took his wrists, pulling them away from her face.

“Yes appa.” Sunyoung said jokingly and opened the fridge, taking an apple and bit a small chunk out of it.

“Sunyoung, Jongin’s right. Plus you need to eat properly; you’ve hardly touched your dinner since we came back and have practically been living of fruit and muesli bars.” Kyungsoo came and stood Kai.

“Okay umma.” She joked again, rolling her eyes.. “Don’t worry I’m not going to pass out from exhaustion or lack of nutrition.”

And that’s when everything went black.
