Chapter 14: Kiss Me, Please
I Still Want To Love You“Let’s stop this,” YeonHee suddenly suggested.
She and Changmin were now standing face-to-face at one of the busiest hallways on campus. Changmin was initially leisuring around while waiting for their next class, but the presence of YeonHee and that sudden statement from her alerted him. He shot her a warning look first before realising that many people were glancing at them while passing the area. He sighed quietly and tried to remain neutral.
“Stop what?” he stated calmly.
“This!” she pointed out as if it was obvious. “I don’t want to hide anymore.”
Changmin’s eyes bulged and his anger started to rise. People were giving them weird glances, and his secret admirers were leaning in a little too close to be able catch their conversation, curiosity and possible disapproval clearly written on their faces.
“What are you talking about, YeonHee-sshi?” he asked softly, but how he wished he could shout the words at her face. He can’t believe that YeonHee could boldly dishonour their agreement like this. YeonHee had always been an obedient girl.
YeonHee pursed her lips and looked away momentarily. When she looked back at him, her eyes were slightly glistening. Changmin’s heart managed to soften at this.
“For once,” she began, almost whispering. “For once in my life, can’t I be like any normal girls in this world. Can’t I have the desire to be by the side of the person that I love the most? Can’t I... be more than a friend to you?”
Several fan-girls gasped at the last sentence. Even Changmin seemed to have lost his words. He had never plan to have a girl confess to him first. And most of all, he had always thought that the guy YeonHee liked was Jaejoong! Changmin shook his head a few times to get back to reality and looked into her pleading eyes.
“But I am already more than a friend to you. I am your best friend,” Changmin reasoned. Some of his fan-girls heaved a sigh of relief, but there were some who wouldn’t give up until they could witness Changmin’s crystal-clear rejection.
YeonHee looked angry at his reply and decided that she needed something more to make him see her point. She grabbed him by the collar and harshly pulled him closer to her until their breaths meet. He didn’t dare to object the force. He didn’t want to hurt her.
“I don’t care what happens to me. All that I know is that I want to be with you, is that so hard to understand?”
Changmin held onto one of her arms and whispered between greeted teeth, “God, YeonHee. Of all the places, why does it have to be here? We can discuss this at your place tonight.”
“I can’t wait for it anymore, Changmin. You’re the one who keeps running away from this,” YeonHee retorted and pulled Changmin with just enough force to bump their faces together. Changmin gasped at the contact and caused them to experience an open-mouthed kiss together, which is something that Changmin had only been wishing for in his wildest dreams. He sighed into the kiss and became totally oblivious of his maddening fan-girls who were forced to watch the scene.
It had only been mere seconds before a hand pulled him harshly backwards, away from the softness of YeonHee’s lips and he mentally prepared himself for the fall, but it never came.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Feeling like his soul had just returned to his body, Changmin gasped as his body jolted upwards. He blinked a few times to make himself sure where he really was. He loo
