"Hey, YeonHee,” ChaeRin called out to her when she was about to exit the room after the lecture. She turned and waited for the two girls to catch up. YeonHee smiled at them.

“You two are always together, aren’t you?” she commented.

ChaeRin and Mayu grinned. “We’ve been best friends since middle school. Now we’re inseparable,” Mayu stated proudly. Then the two took each sides of YeonHee and the three of them walked together towards their next class.

“So,” ChaeRin began. “We saw you talking with Shim Changmin before the lecture started just now. What was that all about?”

YeonHee stared at each of them, surprised. “You guys didn’t just spy on me, did you?”

“Oh, come on. He’s an eye magnet. So naturally, everyone saw you two at the back, whispering to each other. It looked as if you two are together, at least everyone thought so, until he stood up and ran away from you,” ChaeRin laughed. She nudged YeonHee on the ribs a few times to demand for some explanation. YeonHee turned to look at Mayu who was as eager to know. YeonHee sighed.

“It’s nothing his fan-girls should worry about. We’ve become friends. That’s all.”

“Then why was he running away from you? He looked angry too when he did that,” ChaeRin continued to bombard her with questions.

“He doesn’t want problems from his fan-girls. Like you said, they might misunderstood that we’re going out, which we’re not,” YeonHee stated. She pulled her books closer to her chest and slightly pouted.

“What about that hot exchange student? People saw him walk you to class this morning.” It was Mayu’s turn to be curious. YeonHee knew too well why she asked. But she wasn’t going to answer that question in detail. She was starting to feel offended with all these intrusion. The three of them weren’t even that close to her yet, and they’re already asked her so many personal questions.

“I’m not dating anyone at the moment, if that’s what you want to know,” YeonHee finally answered to the both of them.

They realised the change in her tone, and decided to stop there.

It was still early when they arrived at Mrs Park’s tutorial. Today is the day when their group assignment module will be released. YeonHee, ChaeRin and Mayu have agreed to be in the same group, and Changmin has stated his consent. He, on the other hand, will group up with some of the guys.
