Thud. Something hit my head. Stupid Minwoo.. I looked down and found a ball of crumpled paper on the floor. I reached down and took it. I uncrumpled it and read its contents.

Can I bring you somewhere later?

I turned back and glared at him. He gave me the ‘so?’ face. I shook my head. He pouted. He smiled and mouthed ‘Just joking.‘ His face immediately lit up a wide grin appeared. I smiled and rolled my eyes before turning my attention back on the teacher.

Riiinnngg. The students made a beeline for the exit. I went to my locker to put some books in before going to look for Minwoo. To my surprise, he was already there waiting for me. Once I placed my books in, he grabbed my hand and made his way out of the school. I looked down at our intertwined hands and a small smile emerged on my face. I swore I blushed too.

Minwoo: Smiling like an idiot.

I looked up.

Minhee: What?

Minwoo: Woah. Why is your face so red?

Minhee: Uh… uhm the weather is…hot?

Minwoo: Then shall we stop by at the café to get a drink?

I nodded and we headed for the café.

The little silver chimes on the glass door rang as Minwoo pushed the door open. A staff greeted as with a smile.

Staff: What can I get for you two?

Minwoo + Minhee:  Caramel macchiato.

We looked at each other and laughed. As I took some cash out from my wallet, Minwoo held on to my hand.

Minwoo: My treat, idiot.

I scrunched up my nose.

Minhee:  I’m not an idiot, you idiot.

Minwoo passed me my drink and I sipped on it happily.

Minwoo:  Okay, idiot.

I glared at him. Tsk. This idiot.

He held my hand with his free hand and led me to a park.

Oof. Some kid ran into me at the playground.

Kid:  Sorry unnie…

Minhee:  Nah it’s alright. Are you alright? 

I bent down and asked him. He nodded and grinned.

Kid:  Unnie, can you come and play with us? 

I looked up at Minwoo. He looked at me blankly for a moment before he nodded.

Minwoo: Sure!  Let’s go! 

I looked at Minwoo getting along so well with the kids and having fun with them. Aww. He’s good with kids too… Minwoo was smiling and laughing the whole time. Then, an adult approached us.

Adult:  Come on kids, we have to go. Say bye! 

Kids:  Bye! 

They waved and walked off with their teacher. Then a little girl approached us.

Little girl:  Are you two married? 

She looked up at me with big,round eyes.

Minhee: M-married? No. Run along now.

She ran off and I turned back to look at Minwoo.

Minhee: Why is your face so red, idiot? 

Minwoo:  I- i.. uh… Yah!  I’m not an idiot! 

I shrugged and giggled.

Minwoo:  Uhm… i… I’ve got something to ask you.

Minhee:  Yeah? What is it? 

I took my caramel macchiato from the bench, walked over to a swing and sat on it.  Minwoo then came over and held my hands.

Minhee: Wha-?

Minwoo:  I…

He took a deep breath.

Minwoo:  I love you, Yong Minhee. Will you…will you be my…girlfriend? 

He smiled awkwardly and peered into my eyes. I stood up and wrapped my arms around him.

Minhee:  Why wouldn’t i? 

I pulled back and looked at his face. He had a wide grin stuck on his face. Then, his lips crashed into mine. I felt sparks. Lots of them. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he slipped his around my waist, both of us pulling each other closer.

We finally pulled back. He looked deeply into my eyes.

Minwoo:  I caught you, my dream.
