With a contented smile, Kim Jongin casually s his arm around his boyfriend’s slender waist, tugging him closer to his side as they made their way to the graffiti-ed table situated under an enormous oak tree, that they called their lunch area.

Chuckling as they caused a few pointed stares from fellow students and nosy staff members – but hey, they’re gay and proud of it! – Jongin leaned down and placed a sloppy kiss on Sehun’s cheek, sniggering to himself as the latter glared up at him playfully.

“Ew…cooties!” Sehun whined, pale pink lips jutting forward in an adorable pout.

“Can’t help myself,” he grinned in reply, before taking his beloved in his arms and kissing him passionately, not caring if the rest of the student body saw them.

“Get a room!” bellowed Chen, a cheeky grin on his handsome face, as he watched the satisfied pair pull apart and slowly come to join the rest of the group, currently sprawled beneath the cool shade of the tree.

“Stop kidding yourself, Chen,” snickered Baekhyun, as he took a bite from his apple. “You’d want to see anything happen between our rainbow-loving friends.”

“I’ve never liked rainbows,” frowned Jongin as he relaxed against the tree trunk, dragging a not-so-unwilling Sehun down with him. “Too colourful…they meant that the rain had stopped – and I like rain.”

Not noticing that his friends – boyfriend included – were now looking at him as if he was a special person with severe mental issues, Jongin reached into his battered navy backpack, pulled out his salad sandwich and bit into it.

“You’re one to talk, Byun Baekhyun,” Sehun retorted, wrinkling his nose cutely as he wrenched his eyes from a messily-eating Jongin – more food was on his shirt than in his mouth. “I’ve seen the way that you look at that noodle-head chemistry nerd…if anything, you like rainbows.”

“Touché,” replied Baekhyun, tipping his imaginary hat in respect as he tossed the apple core behind him, praying that no hawk-like teacher had seen. “You win this round.”

Rolling his eyes at his friend’s inability to behave maturely, Sehun leaned his head against Jongin’s shoulder and felt his lips twitch as the constant heat radiating from Jongin’s body warmed him.

Getting bored that there was currently no drama happening within the group – everyone seemed too bloody happy ­– Chen made the executive decision to ‘stir things up’ just a little, because YOLO. And who better than Sehun to annoy?

“Hey Jongin,” Chen began, a mischievous twinkle in his eye as he caught the attention of said male. “Do you wanna grab some dinner with me and a few of the guys after practice tonight? Kris can get us a ten percent discount at the new steakhouse in town.”

“I heard that they do a really nice steak club sandwich,” Baekhyun added, his face trying to hide his amusement as he caught on to Chen’s plan. “Tao told me.”

Inwardly cheering as he saw Jongin’s face light up in delight at the proposal, Chen reminded himself to high-five Baekhyun later – this was definitely cause drama within the group.

“Please tell me that you’re not actually thinking of going,” Sehun gasped, his eyes widening in shock, as he saw his boyfriend nod his head enthusiastically. “Jongin!”

“Why not? It sounds fun,” Jongin shrugged nonchalantly, as if it wasn’t a big deal – and to him, it wasn’t. “You should come too.”

“I’m a vegetarian, you idiot!” snapped Sehun, clenching his fists in disbelief as he moved away from a stunned-looking Jongin. “A bloody steakhouse is a no-no for me!”

“Vegetarian? Since when?” asked Chen, knowing full well that Sehun had told him a few days ago during their drama class.

“Since, like, forever,” he spat, glaring at each of them in turn – he had told them when he’d decided to change his lifestyle!

“Really? Oh crap…” muttered Baekhyun, biting his lip as he pretended to look nervous and fiddle with his thumbs. “The curry that I gave you after my food technology class had beef in it…”

“What?!” screeched Sehun, his stomach sinking as he realised that he’d failed as a vegetarian. “You ! Tell me that isn’t true!”

“I’m really sorry…” Baekhyun whimpered, looking up at Sehun with his puppy eyes while trying not to laugh himself silly – a feat in itself!

“Oh my god, Baekhyun,” shrieked Sehun, rising to his feet and towering menacingly over his cringing friend, hands on hips as he went into ‘oh no you didn’t’ mode. “I can’t believe that you did that, to be perfectly honest. I am so freakin mad at you right now – you ruined everything!”

“Sehun I-I…”

“Quite frankly, I am sick of you doin-” Sehun continued, his face going red due to his anger-fuelled rant.

“Relax, drama queen Sehun,” laughed Chen, pleased that he’d gotten the reaction he’d wanted from the gullible couple – he was happy again. “Baekhyun and I were just messing with you…none of that was true.”

“I. Hate. You,” snarled Sehun, his upper lip curling in frustration – though he was relieved to see that he hadn’t failed as a vegetarian. “I will get revenge.”

“I’d like to see you try,” chortled Baekhyun, holding his stomach as it ached from his laughter.

“Bah! You won’t even see it coming,” he hissed in reply, still glaring daggers at his friends as he sat back down. “Were you in on this, Jongin?”

Putting a stopper on his silent laughter, though his body still shook as he tried his hardest not to smile – he had to admit, their prank was pretty funny – Jongin quickly sobered up and shook his head, not trusting himself to speak.

“Nah, he’s a terrible actor,” grinned Baekhyun, looking at his friend apologetically. “It’s true, sorry.”

“But I can’t believe you fell for it,” chuckled Chen, clutching his sides as Jongin cracked and released a muffled snort, earning himself a glare from his seething beloved. “And what do you care about being a vego so much anyway? I thought that it was just another one of your crazy diets – take your last one for example; eating lemons every hour? What the hell?!”

“I’d have you know that I lost nearly two kilos when I was on that diet,” Sehun bit back defensively, his eyes narrowing. “And it cleansed my insides.”

“You’re actually retarded,” gasped Baekhyun, mouth dropping open dramatically.

As Sehun turned to him, silently demanding in that angry-yet-so-damn-y way of his for him to do something about their teasing, Jongin cleared his throat and decided to take page out of Sehun’s world-famous sass book, so to speak.

“, please! He’s fabulous!”
