Out of the Bag

So I've Heard

Sticking his head out the window, Kyuhyun saw Sungmin climb into a car to attend his schedules. He let out a breath of relief.

Good.

It was about time. After being stuck here for two days he really needed to get out and finally eat something. He’d been coping on the bare minimum. Whenever one of s had walked passed smelling of food, he’d bravely (or perhaps foolishly) stuck his head out from the door and poked them, hoping it wasn’t Sungmin, and asked for a bite of their food.

Everyone had given him strange looks, but it had to be done. He had to survive.

Kyuhyun stretched out his muscles and opened the door, feeling quite refreshed for the first time since he’d been locked away. First thing was first though; he needed food. He wandered into the kitchen and spotted Leeteuk leaning against the counters. Kyuhyun walked straight passed, but he couldn’t help but notice that Leeteuk looked twice as guiltier than usual. He didn’t have a good feeling about that.

Kyuhyun opened the fridge door and stared inside. His first instinct was to look for his beloved cheesecake, but alas, it was gone. Living in a dorm with so many grown men, well, nothing was safe. He was going to get Sungmin for that. Alternatively, he could just buy a new slice, but the former sounded like far too much fun to pass up.

Kyuhyun grabbed some leftovers in a container and dug right in, not bothering to dish anything up. Manners could wait, food could not. After practically inhaling half of the food, Kyuhyun took a small break to chew and stare at Leeteuk who was still standing there like a Leeteuk.jpg.

Kyuhyun got a little closer. “What’s wrong?”

Leeteuk, startled, looked everywhere but Kyuhyun, his eyes darting from one edge of the room to another. “Oh goodness, nothing at all my beloved maknae.”

Kyuhyun put his food aside for a moment, giving it a longing glance and a wink, whispering in his mind ‘I’ll be back for you’. He grabbed Leeteuk’s collar and pulled him so close that they were only inches apart, Leeteuk’s eyes still darting in every direction possible apart from Kyuhyun.

This made Leeteuk freak out and flail a bit.

“Leeteuk,” he said in a low and steady voice that he reserved for special situations such as these.

Leeteuk tried to hold it in, but he couldn’t take it anymore. He never was any good at keeping secrets. “Well I told Sungmin that we’d heard from you that you guys were dating, and then he was all like ‘he told you what?!’ and he screamed a bit and was denying and everything but it totally wasn’t my fault because he had a whip and-“

“You what?!” Kyuhyun screeched in alarm. This wasn’t good. Oh no, this wasn’t good at all. “I’m dead…” Kyuhyun laughed desperately.

“It’s okay! He left for his schedules. He’ll only be back by tonight.”

This only comforted Kyuhyun slightly. But either way, by tonight, he would be in a lot of pain.

Kyuhyun stared at the clocked ticking by on the wall. There was only one hour left until Sungmin came home, and Kyuhyun was dreading it beyond anything. To pass the time, he sat in the lounge and watched T.V with the other members, trying to come out with some kind of escape tactic to survive the night. Donghae and Eunhyuk, who were sitting on either side of him, weren’t helping at all with their shameless flirting and skinship, making Kyuhyun even more stressed out.

He was in the middle of his next sort-of brilliant plan, brilliant to him anyway, he noticed some rushed footsteps barging through the house. Before he had time to react, Sungmin was standing right in front of him, a shaking finger pointed accusingly in his direction.

Cho Kyuhyun.”

Kyuhyun gulped.

Sungmin turned and addressed the others in the room. “Before you get any wrong ideas,” he said, his sharp eyes darting from person to person, “anything that came from Kyuhyun’s mouth is a lie. We. Are. Not. Together. Nor have we ever been!”

The occupants of the room looked dubious.

Sungmin spluttered, seeing their disbelieving faces. “It was a trick! He – he lied! You’re not going to trust him over me are you?”

They looked on in pity.

Kyuhyun, being the little he was, decided to use this opportunity to have the last bit of fun he possibly could. This wasn’t the kind of opportunity that came around every other day. He let out a long sigh and dropped his eyes to the floor, sniffling. Eunhyuk and Donghae, who were sitting on either side of Kyuhyun, sent each other a look and silently placed their hands on Kyuhyun’s back for support.

Sungmin, having had enough, grabbed Kyuhyun’s arm and dragged him out of the lounge and into their bedroom.

He closed the door behind them quietly and turned around, pressing his back against the hard wood and staring at Kyuhyun. Then he lost it. Kyuhyun had no idea what was going on; Sungmin flailed wildly into the air, doing some kind of interpretive dance to express his anger, the words not even coming out properly but instead in random syllables.

This probably isn’t good, Kyuhyun thought. Kyuhyun wasn’t exactly an expert in how to calm flailing friends, but he assumed you had to stop them… or something.

Kyuhyun ventured forward slowly, making sure to avoid the flying nails and palms, and then leaped towards Sungmin, enveloping him in a hug. Sungmin's hands trapped between their chests. This just made Sungmin start yelling, so he pushed Sungmin’s head into his shoulder, the sounds muffling against his chest.

There.

Perfect.

Now he was quiet and somewhat under control.

Heechul, Eunhyuk and Donghae opened the door and peered in, worried about all the yelling and scuffling going on.

“Go away, couple fight!” Kyuhyun yelled.

They were quick to oblige and backed out of the room. Who knew how things could escalate from here when they used things like whips for pleasure.

Sungmin managed to pull his head away from Kyuhyun’s shoulder with force and stared at the closed door. “NO IT’S NOT.”

Kyuhyun kept a firm grip on Sungmin who was slowing his wriggling down a little, but Kyuhyun still didn’t want to let him out into the wild just quite yet. “Calm down. Let’s talk like civilised adults.”

Sungmin grumbled under his breath. “Will you let me go then?”

Kyuhyun held him for a second longer than he should have, and he couldn’t help but think it was kind of… comfortable hugging Sungmin. But, then again, he thought, who wouldn’t feel for comfortable with a dangerous martial artist with a grudge against you under your control?

Kyuhyun probably should’ve, but didn’t anticipate the hand coming straight for his face.
