"I wish to fade... I don't want to face eternity anymore..." Kevin faced the Council with a solemn face, a blank look in his eyes.

"No! I will not allow it! You are part of the Council too, or have you forgotten your duties and resposibilities?" Eli, the Head Angel thundered, his voice resonating throughout the Grand Hall. With a bright flash of white, Eli spread his snow-white wings and flew from his throne to land a few inches away, in front of Kevin. Kevin flinched slightly at his brother's fury but composed himself almost immediately.

"I will not back down, brother. I am only asking this of you because it is part of standard procedure. But you know that I can forsake my immortality any time I wish. Kevin levelled his brother's gaze evenly. Tension and pure power crackled and fizzled in the air that surrounded the two angels as they stared at each other angrily.

"Enough." Soo Hyun spoke quietly as he stood from his throne, adjacent to Eli's. But his power made his voice ring loudly across the room to reach the two angels. "I know why you are doing this, Kevin. Please. Give us one more chance. Give us 100 years. And if it doesn't work this time, you have all our consents to fade..." Soo Hyun finished, a pained look in his eyes as he looked at his brother tenderly. Kevin tore his eyes away from Eli and looked at his other 2 brothers who were looking at them, concerned, from their thrones.

"100 years... Then I will fade." Kevin stared at each brother in pain before turning around, spreading his wings, and plunging downwards towards Earth.
