Chapter 9

 

 

Sungmin was sitting on the bed while reading a book. Kyuhyun came out from his walk-in closet wearing corporate attire

 

“Baby, I’m going now”

 

Sungmin stares at him

 

“Yes?”

 

“Sit beside me. I’m going to tell you something”

 

Kyuhyun sits beside her

 

“What?”

 

Sungmin close the book that she’s reading. She stares at Kyuhyun and flashes her puppy eyes

 

“Do you really need to go to work today?”

 

Kyuhyun nod

 

“Can you just stay home with me? Let’s just cuddle each other on bed all day”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head

 

“I’m going now”

 

Sungmin hold his hand

 

“Baby, I’m sick. Just stay here and take care of me”

 

Kyuhyun stares at her. He holds her forehead to check her temperature

 

“I’m going now”

 

Kyuhyun stand up

 

“Yah! I’m going to run away if you will not stay here”

 

Kyuhyun sigh

 

“Baby, I need to go. I have a lot of important things to do and I also have important meetings later”

 

Sungmin pout

 

“Is that more important than me?”

 

Kyuhyun nod making Sungmin frown

 

“I’ll see you later”

 

Kyuhyun grabs his car key and left the room

 

“What the hell is that?”

 

Sungmin rolls on the bed

 

“Aish! My acting is not even effective. How can he be so busy? He didn’t even kiss me before he goes. Cho Kyuhyun, I hate you. You love your work more than me. It’s so frustrating”

 

Sungmin sigh and sit on the bed

 

“It’s hard to be a housewife. I’m so lonely to be alone here”

 

Sungmin suddenly smile

 

“Ha! I know”

 

She snaps his fingers

 

“That’s right. I have a better idea”

 

Sungmin giggles happily. She jumps off the bed and went inside her walk-in closet to change her clothes

 

 

 

 

 

*CHO CORPORATION*

 

 

Sungmin came out from the elevator. All eyes are focus on her as she walks on the hallway. Employees bow their head to greet her; she flashes a bright smile in return. She can hear whispers as they focus their eyes upon her

 

“This is my first time seeing Mr. Cho’s wife. She’s really beautiful”

 

“Our President really had a high standard in choosing a woman”

 

“I envy her”

 

Sungmin heard some of the girls talking. She bites her lips to control her laughter as she continue walking. She enters a big room. Kyuhyun’s secretary immediately bows his head upon seeing her

 

“Good morning Mrs. Cho”

 

Sungmin stares at him blankly

 

“Mrs. what?”

 

Kyuhyun’s secretary raises his head and look at her

 

“Mrs. Cho”

 

Sungmin just nod her head

 

“Is my husband inside?”

 

Kyuhyun’s secretary smiles at her before shaking his head

 

“Well, Mr. Cho is currently having a meeting at the conference 4”

 

“I see. Can I wait for him inside?”

 

“Of course”

 

“Thank you”

 

Kyuhyun’s secretary bows at her. Sungmin went inside Kyuhyun’s office. She sits on Kyuhyun’s chair and smile upon seeing her picture on his desk

 

“Where on earth did he get this picture? I don’t remember seeing this when I first came here”

 

Sungmin laugh softly

 

“Maybe Oppa was the one who gives this to him”

 

She returns the picture on the desk. Sungmin opens his drawer and saw a folder inside

 

“What is this?”

 

She grabs the folder and carefully opens it. Sungmin’s eyes widened while reading the documents inside the folder

 

“Aigoo! This is the draft of that investment...the one that Appa...”

 

Sungmin immediately close the folder and return it inside the drawer

 

“I’m not interested on that thing. If Appa wants the Park Corporation then he needs to fight fairly and do his best to win that contract. Why will I spy on my husband? I can’t even do that to him”

 

Sungmin stares at her watch

 

“How long does he plan to stay in that meeting?”

 

Sungmin holds her tummy

 

“I’m already hungry. Maybe we can have lunch together so I need to wait for him”

 

Sungmin heard Kyuhyun’s phone ringing

 

“OMO! He’s mom is calling. What should I do?”

 

Sungmin stares at Kyuhyun’s mobile phone

 

“I wouldn’t hurt him if I answer the call, right?”

 

Sungmin grabs the mobile phone and takes a deep breath before answering the call

 

“Yeoboseo”

 

Mrs. Cho was shock to hear a woman’s voice

 

“Excuse me, but where is my son?”

 

“Ah...”

 

Sungmin’s heart starts beating fast

 

“Kyu is having a meeting right now. I’ll just tell him that you call”

 

“I see. Anyway, who are you?”

 

Sungmin gulps nervously

 

“I’m...I’m...”

 

Mrs. Cho smile

 

“Oh dear don’t be shy. Let me guess, are you Kyuhyun’s wife?”

 

Sungmin’s eyes widened

 

“Don’t be afraid. Kyu told me everything”

 

“But...but...Seohyun is”

 

“Don’t worry about that thing sweetheart. Since Kyu already have you then Seohyun is out of the line”

 

“But...”

 

“Shhh”

 

Mrs. Cho flash a sweet smile

 

“My son loves you so much and we’re not that selfish to hinder his own happiness. We always want what is the best for him and we know that you’re the best girl for our Kyuhyun-ah”

 

“Thank you Mrs. Cho”

 

“What? You need to call me Umma, arasso?”

 

“Arasso Umma”

 

Mrs. Cho giggles happily

 

“Honestly, hearing your voice makes me smile. I bet you’re really nice and beautiful. I’m hoping to meet you soon”

 

Sungmin just smile

 

“Anyway, can you just pass my message to Kyu?”

 

“Yes Umma”

 

“Tell him that I already talk to his father and he say yes”

 

“Arasso”

 

“I’ll just call him again next time. It’s good that we had the chance to talk to each other and we’re really hoping to meet you soon”

 

“Thanks Umma”

 

“By the way before you hang up...”

 

Mrs. Cho giggles before talking

 

“I just want to ask something”

 

“What is it Umma?”

 

“Is there any good news?”

 

“Good news?”

 

Mrs. Cho nod

 

“What good news?”

 

“You know...”

 

Sungmin’s eyes widened while shaking her head

 

“Oh...that thing...well, Umma...that thing can wait, right?”

 

Mrs. Cho sigh

 

“Is my son impotent or he’s just slow?”

 

Sungmin laugh

 

“Umma, Kyu will be mad if he hears you”

 

“I’m just asking. It’s really frustrating. I thought you’re already pregnant”

 

“Maybe the baby will arrive next time”

 

“You guys need to hurry. I can’t wait to have a cute grandchild. I envy my friends because some of them already have one. I also want to take care of my grandchild and cuddle him like a teddy bear”

 

Sungmin blush

 

“Just tell Kyu that I call ok?”

 

“Yes Umma”

 

“Let’s talk again next time”

 

Sungmin nod

 

“You take care sweetheart and don’t hesitate to call me if my son is making it hard for you”

 

Sungmin smile

 

“Arasso. You take care of yourself Umma and of course Appa. I love you”

 

“I love you too sweetheart. I’ll be waiting for my grandchild”

 

“Umma”

 

Mrs. Cho laughs softly

 

“No pressure at all, just take your time. Bye bye”

 

“Arasso. Bye bye”

 

Sungmin hang up

 

“Kyu’s mom is nice. I wonder where on earth he got his brat, over confident and short tempered attitude”

 

Sungmin smile and hold her tummy. She stares at the window

 

“It’s good if we will have a baby soon”

 

Sungmin was thinking about pregnancy when someone knocks on the door. She smiles upon seeing Kyuhyun standing at the doorway

 

“Hi baby”

 

Kyuhyun closes the door and walk towards her

 

“How’s your meeting?”

 

Kyuhyun carries her on his arms. Sungmin wraps her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist

 

“Why are you here?”

 

Sungmin pouts

 

“Are you not surprise to see me?”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head to

 

“That was so mean”

 

Kyuhyun smile and kisses her lips

 

“Can I stay here with you?”

 

“If you promise to behave”

 

Sungmin smile

 

“I’m always behave”

 

“Really?”

 

Sungmin nods at him. Kyuhyun was about to kiss her, but she holds his lips to stop him

 

“You’re the one who’s not behaving here”

 

“Because you’re distracting me”

 

“Am I?”

 

Kyuhyun nods at her. He gently puts her down on his desk

 

“By the way...Umma calls awhile ago”

 

“Umma?”

 

Sungmin nod

 

“Since you left your mobile phone, I’m the one who answers it”

 

Kyuhyun smile

 

“What did my talkative mother told you?”

 

“She’ll call you again and she wants to tell you that Appa already say yes”

 

Kyuhyun smiles brightly

 

“That’s good”

 

Kyuhyun stares at Sungmin’s confuse face

 

“Well, it’s about you and me”

 

“Huh?”

 

“I told Umma before that I already have a wife, so they will stop bothering me to marry Seohyun. She told me that it’s fine with her and she’s going to tell it to Appa. Since he says yes then there won’t be any more problem”

 

Sungmin nods at him. She stares at her watch

 

“Baby, can we eat our lunch now?”

 

“I’m sorry Minnie, but I need to go and have lunch with my junior and senior executive. We need to talk some important matter about our meeting with President Park. It’s about the ten billion contract. We need to discuss it with the board of directors”

 

Sungmin pouts

 

“But you just finish your meeting right?”

 

“That meeting is not with them. It’s a different thing”

 

“Can I go with you?”

 

Kyuhyun shook his head

 

“I’m not going to disturb you”

 

“Minnie, you can’t go with me ok”

 

“I hate you”

 

“What?”

 

Sungmin frowns at him

 

“Why do you always need to be busy?”

 

“Why do you always need to cling around?”

 

“I just want you to spend some time with me. You always work. You always have meeting. I’m just asking for an hour to have lunch with me”

 

“Baby, I need to work”

 

“I know”

 

“Then why are you complaining? Do you expect me to sit at home and flirt with you? Do I really need to spend every single minute with you? I’m a very busy person and you know that”

 

Kyuhyun grabs his mobile phone on the table

 

“Yah! I went here just to have lunch with you. You don’t even appreciate my effort”

 

Kyuhyun stares at her seriously

 

“Who told you to go here anyway?”

 

Sungmin’s tears start forming in her eyes

 

“Why are you so mean?”

 

“Minnie, don’t start it”

 

“Start what?”

 

Kyuhyun takes a deep breath, controlling his temper

 

“Just go home. I don’t want to see you here when I arrive”

 

Kyuhyun told her before leaving his office

 

“Aish! I’m not going to leave”

 

Sungmin jumps off the table

 

“I’ll just have a lunch with his secretary”

 

Sungmin opens the door to look for Kyuhyun’s secretary. He was packing some things

 

“Do you want to have lunch with me?”

 

“I’m sorry Mrs. Cho, but Mr. Cho and I need to leave now. We’re going to have lunch with his executives and the board of directors”

 

“I see”

 

Kyuhyun’s secretary bows at her before running outside. Sungmin go back inside Kyuhyun’s office and sigh

 

“Lee Sungmin, you eat your lunch alone”

 

Sungmin sits on the couch

 

“Why is he like that?”

 

Sungmin get her wallet inside her bag

 

“Aigoo! Why am I so stupid? I forgot that I don’t even have money. How can I eat my lunch?”

 

Sungmin sigh

 

“Why is life so hard for me? I can’t go home because I don’t have money to ride a cab. Kyu’s driver just drop me here and I can’t ask him to fetch me because it’s his day off”

 

Sungmin dials her brother’s number

 

“Your call has been transfer to a mailbox”

 

Sungmin pouts

 

“Maybe Oppa is busy”

 

Sungmin stares at the credit card that her father gives her

 

“This is the only option that is left for me”

 

Sungmin breaks it into half

 

“But I promise myself that I will never use it because if I do, it only means that I’m agreeing with Appa’s evil plan”

 

She throws the broken credit card and her wallet inside her bag

 

“Lee Sungmin, just have a diet today”

 

She holds her tummy

 

“But I’m already hungry. Aish! How can I be so poor? What will I do now?”

 

Sungmin stares on her mobile phone and press Kyuhyun’s number, but he’s not answering his phone. Sungmin calls him again and again, but Kyuhyun is just ignoring her call

 

“Yah!”

 

Sungmin calls him again

 

“Yeoboseo”

 

“Baby, can I...”

 

“Minnie, please stop calling me. Don’t disturb me ok!”

 

“But...I...I...”

 

Kyuhyun hang up. Sungmin sigh

 

“I think I’ll just have diet today”

 

Sungmin stares at her feet sadly

 

“I’ll just kill my feet if I walk home and I’ll die before I arrive there”

 

Sungmin’s tears start forming in her eyes

 

“I’ll just read and wait for Kyu”

 

Sungmin nods and grabs the book that she’s reading. She opens it and start reading to relax her mind and forget about her anger to Kyuhyun

 

 

 

 

Sungmin was sitting on Kyuhyun’s chair while playing on his PSP happily

 

“It’s good that I found this thing in his drawer”

 

Sungmin’s attention was focused on the game that she’s playing. She didn’t notice Kyuhyun enters the office

 

“I told you to leave my office right?”

 

Sungmin ignores him

 

“Lee Sungmin”

 

Sungmin ignores him again. Kyuhyun walk towards her. He holds Sungmin’s arm and drags her away of his chair

 

“Ouch!”

 

Sungmin stares at Kyuhyun’s serious face

 

“Why are you so grumpy? I’m not doing anything. I’m just playing here”

 

“I told you to leave my office. Why are you here? You’re just disturbing me. You go home now”

 

Sungmin pouts and reach her hand out

 

“What?”

 

“Give me your wallet”

 

Kyuhyun stares at her

 

“Yah! I don’t even have money to ride a cab. You need to give me money”

 

“How did you arrive here if you don’t have money?”

 

“I ask your driver to drop me here before he takes his day off”

 

“Then you go home alone”

 

Sungmin stares at him blankly

 

“Huh?”

 

“If you can go here alone then you should go home alone. Find your own way on how you will reach home”

 

“Are you serious?”

 

Kyuhyun sits on his chair and opens his laptop

 

“You have feet to walk. Maybe you can use it for you to be able to go home”

 

“Do you really want to kill me? How can I walk hundred miles wearing heels?”

 

Kyuhyun stares at Sungmin seriously

 

“It’s your fault because you love wearing heels. Nobody even invites you here. I can’t understand why you need to go here. You’re just disturbing me”

 

Sungmin stares at him with teary eyes

 

“Why are you doing this to me?”

 

“Shhh, don’t start your drama here”

 

“I’m just asking for a few minutes from you, is that hard on your part? Do you really think that it’s easy for me to stay home and wait for you to arrive?”

 

Kyuhyun raised his eyebrow

 

“Who told you to wait for me? If you don’t want to wait for me then don’t. Just go home now because I’m already losing my temper towards you. I have a lot of things to do. Stop disturbing me”

 

“Fine, I’m sorry. I won’t disturb you again”

 

Sungmin place Kyuhyun’s PSP on the desk and grabs her bag on the couch. She takes a deep breath and went out from Kyuhyun’s office

 

“Aish! He’s killing me. He’s so mean”

 

Sungmin enters the elevator

 

“If I call my driver to fetch me, Umma and Appa will definitely know that I’m staying at Kyu’s house. If that’s the case, they will bother me more about spying on him. If I call Junsu, Kyu will surely kill me when he finds out about it”

 

Sungmin press his brother’s number

 

“Your call has been transfer to a mailbox”

 

Sungmin sigh

 

“He’s phone is still off? What’s wrong with him? Is he already dead? Aish! Why does everyone is busy except me?”

 

Sungmin frowns and went out from the elevator. The people bow to her as she walks at the lobby. She went out of the building

 

“Ok. I really need to walk. What kind of husband is he? Aish! If only I know how to drive”

 

Sungmin takes a deep breath

 

“Lee Sungmin, fighting”

 

Sungmin was about to walk away when someone calls her

 

“Mrs. Cho!”

 

Sungmin turns around and found Kyuhyun’s personal assistant running towards her

 

“Mrs. Cho”

 

He bows at her

 

“Yes?”

 

He takes a deep breath before talking

 

“It’s good that I catch you. Mr. Cho told me to drop you home”

 

Sungmin shook her head

 

“No need. I can go home alone”

 

“But he told me to drop you or else he’ll be mad at me”

 

Sungmin stares at him

 

“Arasso”

 

“I’ll just get the car at the parking lot. Please wait for me”

 

Sungmin nods at him. Kyuhyun’s personal assistant bows at her before going at the parking lot

 

“I still hate him”

 

Sungmin holds her head

 

“Aigoo! My head is aching because of him. I’m not going to speak to him. I hate you Cho Kyuhyun. I really hate you”

 

Sungmin bites her lips because of anger. She takes a deep breath

 

“Just don’t think about him ok? Just don’t mind that brat. Just pretend that he doesn’t exist”

 

Sungmin sighs. A black Audi car stops in front of her. Kyuhyun’s personal assistant went out from the car and opens the back seat for Sungmin

 

“Thanks”

 

Sungmin went inside and holds her tummy

 

“I’m going to eat when I arrive at home. I think I’m going to die. I feel so weak”

 

Sungmin lean her head on the window and close her eyes to relax. Kyuhyun’s personal assistant went inside and starts driving the car

 

 

 

 

Nanny Ahjumma knocks on Kyuhyun’s room before going inside. She bows at Sungmin who is sitting on the bed while staring on her mobile phone

 

“Young lady, are you going to eat your dinner now?”

 

Sungmin shook her head

 

“I’m waiting for Kyu”

 

“But it’s already ten in the evening. You’re not yet eating your dinner. Maybe young master will go home late tonight”

 

“I’ll just wait for him. Don’t worry. I’m fine”

 

“But young lady”

 

Sungmin smiles at her

 

“Don’t worry Nanny Ahjumma. I’ll just go down if I’m already hungry”

 

“Just call me if you’re already going to eat your dinner”

 

Sungmin nods at her. Nanny Ahjumma bows at her before going out. Sungmin sigh and stares at Kyuhyun’s alarm clock

 

“How long does he plan to work? He doesn’t even give me a call”

 

Sungmin frown and press Kyuhyun’s number

 

“You’re call has been transfer to a mailbox”

 

Sungmin sigh and leave a message on his mailbox before hanging up

 

“Does he really need to be busy?”

 

Sungmin sigh

 

“I’ll just wait for him downstairs”

 

Sungmin stand up and went out of the room

 

 

 

 

Kyuhyun was busy working in his office. He stares at his watch. It’s already twelve midnight. He opens his mobile phone to call home. He wants to check if Sungmin is at the house and not partying somewhere

 

“I have one mailbox message”

 

Kyuhyun opens his mailbox and listen to his message

 

“Baby, what time are you going home? I’m waiting for you. Let’s have dinner together ok? Don’t stress yourself too much because I’m not a good nurse. Just go home early because I already miss you. I’ll hang up now. Sorry to bother you, but I just want you to go home early”

 

Kyuhyun stares at Sungmin’s picture on his desk

 

“I’m sorry to keep you waiting”

 

Kyuhyun stares at his watch

 

“I think it’s time to go home”

 

Kyuhyun sigh and start cleaning his office because his secretary already went home. He packs his things and grabs his car key and went out of his office

 

 

 

 

Kyuhyun arrive at home. He saw Sungmin lying on the sofa, sleeping peacefully. He walks towards her and carefully gets the remote on her hand. He turns off the TV and sits beside her. Kyuhyun her hair gently while staring at her beautiful face

 

“She’s waiting for you”

 

Kyuhyun stares at the owner of the voice

 

“She’s not yet eating her dinner young master. She’s actually waiting for you to arrive”

 

Nanny Ahjumma stares at Kyuhyun sadly

 

“I think you should spend some time with her. Your wife needs you too”

 

Kyuhyun nods at his nanny. He carries Sungmin on his arms and went upstairs. His nanny opens the door for him

 

“Thank you”

 

“Good night young master”

 

“Good night”

 

Nanny Ahjumma bows at him and gently closes the door. Kyuhyun carefully put her down on the bed. He sits beside her and stares at her face sadly

 

“I’m sorry Minnie, but I promise to spend more time with you tomorrow. I hope you understand that I’m busy today. I really need to finish a lot of things, please don’t get mad at me”

 

Kyuhyun kissed her forehead

 

“Sleep tight and have a good rest. I love you”

 

Kyuhyun kissed her again before going inside his closet to change his clothes
