Chapter 25

 

 

Hyuk Jae was staring at Donghae who is driving his car quietly.

 

“Honey”

 

Hyuk Jae takes a deep breath

 

“Do you really think that we should invite Kyu in the party?”

 

Donghae nods

 

“But...I think, he will just feel inferior because he’s no longer the President of Cho Corporation”

 

Donghae shook his head

 

“Honey, Cho Appa didn’t kick him out from his position. Kyu was the one who gives it up because he becomes a loser to the point that he just wants to stop living and doesn’t care about his life anymore”

 

Hyuk Jae stares at him

 

“How long does he plan to live like a hobo?”

 

Donghae shook his head again

 

“I don’t know”

 

Donghae holds his forehead

 

“Seriously, my head is always aching because of him. It seems that I’m babysitting a kid who is so hard headed and doesn’t know how to listen”

 

Donghae sighs

 

“He loses some weights. He looks old, tired and weary. He keeps on crying every night for three years”

 

“Really?”

 

“Yes. Cho Umma and Appa send him a Psychiatrist to help him with his depression, but it’s not working because he’s not helping his self. He’s totally ruined”

 

“Wow, I really can’t believe it. I really can’t believe that a very smart and well known CEO will become like that because of love”

 

Donghae nods in agreement

 

“I’m telling you honey, Kyu looks like a beggar. To be honest, beggars are richer than him”

 

“But honey”

 

Hyuk Jae’s expression suddenly becomes sad

 

“I’m just worried and sad for Kyu”

 

Donghae stops his car when the traffic light turns red. He stares at Hyuk Jae sadly

 

“But I think it’s the right time for them to meet each other again after three years”

 

Donghae sighs sadly

 

“But I just don’t know if they are ready to meet each other again”

 

Hyuk Jae holds Donghae’s face

 

“No matter what is your decision, I will always support you. I know that you’re doing this for Kyu”

 

She smiles at him

 

“You really love him that much. I’m jealous”

 

Hyuk Jae teases him. Donghae kissed her lips and smiles brightly

 

“Don’t tease me like that. You’re the only one I love and Kyu is my best friend. He’s like a real brother to me”

 

“I know. I’m just kidding. Let’s do this for Kyu and Minnie”

 

“Fighting!”

 

Donghae giggles happily. He starts driving his car again when the traffic light turns green

 

 

 

 

Donghae and Hyuk Jae arrive at Kyuhyun’s apartment. Hyuk Je stares at Donghae with wide eyes open

 

“This is where he’s living?”

 

Donghae answers her with a nod

 

“Really? It’s really unbelievable”

 

“I told you”

 

Donghae gets the key inside his pocket and opens the door. Hyuk Jae enters followed by Donghae

 

“Where is he?”

 

Donghae enters a small room. Hyuk Jae follows him. Her eyes widened upon seeing a man sitting at the corner, staring at the wall blankly

 

“Is that...”

 

Donghae nods sadly. Hyuk Jae’s tears start forming in her eyes

 

“Aigoo! Why?”

 

She stares at Kyuhyun sadly. He looks so pale and skinny

 

“It’s good that Cho Umma and Appa are not giving up on him though he’s really a hard headed boy. They always go here with Nanny Ahjumma. They bathe him, feed him, but there are times that he throws tantrum and doesn’t eat”

 

Donghae walks towards Kyu

 

“Kyuhyun-ah”

 

Kyuhyun manage to smile upon seeing him and Hyuk Jae

 

“It’s good to see you Hyukkie”

 

Hyuk Jae smiles at him

 

“What brings you here? Do you have any news about Minnie? You’re going to tell me now where she is?”

 

“Hae drags me along. I also want to see you. It’s been a long time”

 

Hyuk Jae sits on the floor

 

“Hae and I need to tell you something”

 

Kyuhyun stares at Donghae blankly

 

“Are you going to tell me where she is?”

 

“Well...”

 

Donghae smiles at him and sits on the floor

 

“Kyu...”

 

He gets the invitation inside Hyuk Jae’s bag and shows it to Kyuhyun

 

“Please, I want you to attend the Lee Corporation’s party tonight”

 

Kyuhyun stares at the invitation

 

“We’re officially introducing the President of Lee Corporation”

 

Kyuhyun’s tears start falling from his eyes

 

“I’m going to see Minnie again? She’s back?”

 

Donghae and Hyuk Jae nod happily

 

“She will be at the party later. Minnie will arrive later”

 

Kyuhyun crawls towards Donghae

 

“Are you telling me the truth Hae? Minnie and I are going to see each other again?”

 

“Yes baby Kyu. If I were you, I will stop being a hobo now. I’m not going to cry anymore and become depress”

 

Kyuhyun wipes his tears and smiles so brightly. Donghae’s tears start forming in his eyes upon seeing his best friend smile again. It’s been a long time since he last saw Kyuhyun smiling and he feels so happy to see his smile once again

 

“I need to prepare myself. I need to go back in the house and become the President of Cho Corporation again. I need to do that for Minnie, so I won’t disappoint her”

 

Donghae nods happily

 

“Minnie is back. Finally, I’m going to see her again after three years. I’m so happy that she’s back. I feel so alive”

 

Kyuhyun wants to jump because of happiness

 

“Hae, Hyukkie”

 

He smiles brightly at them

 

“You need to help me prepare for our meeting later. I’m going to see her once again. I need to look good and become better for her”

 

“So, what are we waiting for? We need to go now and prepare for the party later”

 

Kyuhyun nods happily. He feels a new hope in his life upon hearing that the girl he loves most is already back. He feels so happy and excited at the same time because he will finally meet Sungmin after three years. He’s finally awakened after a long suffering for longing for his Sungmin. He wants to live his life again and become the best for Sungmin

 

“Minnie, I’m going to try living my life again just the way I live it before because you’re back. You’re here once again and I can make it once again because of you. I will make it for you. I love you so much and see you soon”

 

Kyuhyun told his self while thinking about Sungmin happily

 

 

 

 

 

Hyuk Jae was tying her boyfriend’s neck tie

 

“Did you see his face awhile ago?”

 

Hyuk Jae nods happily

 

“Kyu looks so happy and his mood suddenly changes. I think he felt new hope upon hearing about Minnie. He’s really longing for her”

 

Donghae nods happily

 

“I’m really happy to see those smiles on his face again. It’s really priceless”

 

“And Minnie is the only person who can bring those smiles again on our brat young master’s face”

 

“I’m really excited for their meeting later”

 

“Me too”

 

Donghae laughs softly

 

“I hope everything will be alright. I just hope that they will finally reconcile and get back to each other’s arms again”

 

“And I also hope that they will stop hurting each other and pretending that they don’t love and need each other anymore. They should stop pushing each other away from each other’s life”

 

Donghae and Hyuk Jae stare at each other and smile

 

“Honey, I think your mobile phone is ringing”

 

“Huh?”

 

“Shhh”

 

Donghae heard his mobile phone ringing. He immediately gets it inside his pocket and smiles at Hyuk Jae

 

“It’s Minnie”

 

“Hurry, answer it”

 

Donghae giggles happily

 

“Yeoboseo”

 

“OOOPPPAAA!!!”

 

Sungmin shout happily

 

“Aigoo! Why are you shouting? Aish! My right ear suddenly aches”

 

Sungmin laughs softly

 

“I’m here at Park Hyatt Hotel. Fany Unnie and Siwon Oppa are also here with me”

 

Donghae pouts

 

“That’s so unfair. How come Hyukkie and I are not even invited?”

 

“Well, I just want to surprise you and Unnie later”

 

“Why? Did you change a lot?”

 

Sungmin shook her head

 

“Not really. I’m still the same”

 

Sungmin giggles happily

 

“Oppa, I have a surprise for you later”

 

“What’s that?”

 

“Secret, you’ll see it later”

 

Donghae smiles

 

“I also have a surprise for you later”

 

“Really?”

 

Donghae nods happily

 

“Yes. I’m sure that you’re going to be happy upon seeing my surprise for you”

 

“I suddenly feel excited. You need to listen to my speech later because I’m going to introduce my surprise for you during my speech”

 

“Arasso”

 

Sungmin smiles brightly

 

“I’ll see you and Hyukkie Unnie at Ritz Carlton Seoul, arasso? I just miss both of you so much”

 

“We miss you too so much”

 

“See you later. Fany Unnie and Siwon Oppa already left. I’m going to leave later with my surprise. I’m sure that you’re going to like it. I’ll see you later, arasso?”

 

“Arasso”

 

Donghae hangs up

 

“She sounds so excited”

 

“I’m really excited to see her again”

 

Hyuk Jae smiles brightly

 

“She told me that she will have a surprise for me later. I wonder what it is”

 

“You’ll know it later”

 

Hyuk Jae gets her black purse on the bed

 

“Let’s go?”

 

Donghae nods happily. He holds Hyuk Jae’s hand and they went out together, holding each other’s hand happily

 

 

 

 

Kyuhyun was staring at the mirror happily. He was currently staying at his parents’ house. Mrs. Cho went inside her son’s room

 

“How’s my sweetheart?”

 

Kyuhyun looks at his mother and flashes a bright smile

 

“I’m happy and I’m really excited to meet Minnie again”

 

Mrs. Cho’s tears start forming in her eyes while staring at her son’s bright smile. She walks towards him and hugs him tight

 

“I’m happy to see you smiling again”

 

“I can smile again because Minnie is finally back and I’m going to see her later”

 

Kyuhyun stares at his mother

 

“Umma, how do I look? I look so skinny, right?”

 

“You need to gain some weight, but you look just fine”

 

Mrs. Cho holds her son’s face between her hands

 

“I’m happy for you sweetheart”

 

“Do you think Minnie will accept me again into her life?”

 

Mrs. Cho nods happily

 

“Of course sweetheart, she will accept you again. But this time you need to be good to her. Treasure her each and every day of your life. Love her so much and don’t hurt her so badly again. Never let her go again. I hope you already learn from your mistake, so you won’t do it over again”

 

Kyuhyun nods happily

 

“I’m going to use this second chance to love her more than I love her before. I’m going to propose again and bring her back in our house. Our house will going to be a home again and won’t be empty anymore because Minnie is already back”

 

Kyuhyun hugs his mother

 

“I’m going to make it again Umma. I’m going to make it through because of Minnie”

 

“That’s good. Fighting. We’re always here to support you”

 

“Thanks”

 

Kyuhyun walks towards his bed. He grabs the small box and put it inside his pocket. He grabs the bouquet of pink American rose

 

“I’m going now Umma”

 

Mrs. Cho kissed his forehead

 

“Be careful and enjoy the night with Minnie”

 

“I will”

 

Kyuhyun left his room. He saw his father at the living room

 

“Appa, I’m going now”

 

Mr. Cho smiles at him

 

“Fighting!”

 

Kyuhyun salutes at him and went out. The Cho family driver opens the door of the black limousine. Kyuhyun went inside happily

 

“Wait for me Minnie. I’m coming for you”

 

Kyuhyun stares at the window happily while thinking about Sungmin. He feels so happy and excited to see her again

Donghae walks towards Tiffany with Hyuk Jae

 

“Hyukkie!”

 

“Fany!”

 

Tiffany and Hyuk Jae hug each other tight

 

“It’s nice to see you again after three years”

 

“I’m so happy to see you Fany. Where is Minnie?”

 

Tiffany flashes a sweet smile

 

“It’s a surprise. You’ll see her in a few minutes”

 

“She told me that she has a surprise for me. What is it?”

 

Tiffany flashes a weak smile at her cousin

 

“Oh...you’ll find it out later”

 

“Where is Siwon?”

 

Tiffany points her finger towards Siwon who is walking towards them

 

“How are you fish?”

 

“It’s good to see you horse”

 

“Pabo”

 

Siwon smiles at him and Hyuk Jae

 

“It’s nice to see both of you again. We miss you so much”

 

The couple smile at him

 

“Please excuse me and...”

 

Tiffany holds Hyuk Jae’s hand

 

“Hyukkie for awhile as the party is about to start. We’re going to be the MC”

 

Hyuk Jae’s eyes widened

 

“What?”

 

“Just help me Hyukkie”

 

Tiffany drags Hyuk Jae with her before she can complain

 

“Hae”

 

“Yes?”

 

Siwon points his finger towards Kyuhyun who just arrive

 

“Who invites him here?”

 

Donghae smiles at Siwon

 

“Me”

 

“But why?”

 

Donghae raised his eyebrow

 

“What do you mean why? Kyu is my brother in law and he has the right to be here. This is Minnie’s party as we officially introduce her as Lee Corporation’s President and they also need to meet each other again after three years”

 

“But Hae, you don’t understand”

 

“I don’t understand what?”

 

Siwon just stares at him nervously. The party already started as Tiffany and Hyuk Jae start talking. Donghae pats Siwon’s shoulder and walks towards Kyuhyun

 

“Where is Minnie?”

 

“She’s still hiding”

 

Kyuhyun sighs in relief

 

“I thought I’m going to be late”

 

“You’re just in time”

 

Donghae stares at the bouquet of pink American rose that Kyuhyun was holding

 

“That’s for me or for my sister?”

 

“Pabo, of course it’s for Minnie. You’re being so gay again”

 

They stare at each other and laugh softly

 

“I’m planning to propose to her again”

 

“That’s great”

 

They stare at the stage when Tiffany and Hyuk Jae call Sungmin up on the stage

 

“We’re proud to officially introduce the President of Lee Corporation”

 

“Ladies and Gentlemen, let’s all welcome up on the stage Ms. Lee Sungmin, President of Lee Corporation”

 

The crows start clapping their hands upon seeing Sungmin. Kyuhyun’s tears start forming in his eyes. He can’t believe that he’s staring at the girl he loves most. He can’t believe that he will see her again after three years. He longs for her for three years and finally he can see her again. Sungmin is there up on the stage, just right in front of him and he feels so happy about it

 

“My sister is really beautiful. Nothing changes at all. She still looks the same”

 

Kyuhyun nods happily, agreeing to Donghae

 

“Her beauty is really timeless”

 

Kyuhyun smiles brightly while staring at Sungmin who is busy giving her speech up on the stage

 

“Thank you everyone”

 

Sungmin flashes her sweetest smile

 

“Thank you for coming tonight. I really appreciate all your presence and I’m really thankful from the bottom of my heart. Tonight, I’m not just celebrating being the President of Lee Corporation. I’m also celebrating because this night is a very special night for me”

 

Sungmin paused for a moment before continuing

 

“I’m inviting all of you to attend my wedding this coming Saturday”

 

Hyuk Jae stares at Sungmin with wide eyes open

 

“What the hell is going on here? What wedding? What is she talking about?”

 

Donghae stares at his sister seriously. Kyuhyun’s smile vanished on his face upon hearing the shocking announcement. Siwon turns around and found Donghae staring at Sungmin seriously

 

“I’m proud to introduce to all of you my fiancé and the man that I’m going to marry. Kim Youngwoon”

 

Sungmin stares at Youngwoon happily

 

“Youngwoon baby, please come up the stage and join me”

 

Youngwoon come up on the stage smiling brightly. He kissed Sungmin’s cheek and hugs her tight. Kyuhyun’s world suddenly falls down. Tears start forming in his eyes. He feels so weak and stupid at the same time. He just wants to stab his self on that very moment. He wants to scream, but words are not coming out from his mouth

 

“Please join us in our wedding this coming Saturday. Youngwoon and I will be very happy seeing all your presence on our wedding day”

 

Sungmin and Youngwoon smile brightly

 

“I can’t believe this”

 

Donghae clenches his fist because of anger. He can’t believe that his sister will hide everything from him

 

“Kyu...”

 

Donghae stares at Kyuhyun. He can see a great sadness and pain in his eyes. Kyuhyun remains quiet. He doesn’t know what to say. He feels like dying. His heart is aching badly and it is broken into pieces and will remain broken forever. He can’t believe that the girl he’s waiting for three years, the girl that he loves most, the girl who becomes part of his life and the girl he needed most in his life is already getting married to other man. And the most painful part is, he only have one day left to stop the wedding and he just don’t know what to do. Sungmin and Youngwoon go down from the stage after the toast. Sungmin drags him happily towards his brother

 

“Op...”

 

Sungmin’s heart starts beating fast upon seeing Kyuhyun. She stares at him sadly. He looks so skinny and tired

 

“What happen to you?”

 

Sungmin asks Kyuhyun sadly. She wants to hug him tight, but she can’t do it. She misses him so much and she knows that she still loves him so much. That’s the thing that she can’t escape with. No matter how hard she denies that she doesn’t love Kyuhyun anymore, her heart just can’t lie

 

“It’s nice to see you again Minnie”

 

Kyuhyun manage to smile though his heart is breaking seeing Sungmin holding other man’s hand

 

“It’s good to see you”

 

Sungmin smiles brightly, controlling her tears from falling. But Youngwoon notice those tears that are forming in her eyes. Tears that are only meant for Kyuhyun

 

“Oppa, this is my surprise for you. I like to introduce my fiancé. He’s Kim Youngwoon. We met in California”

 

Youngwoon bows at Donghae

 

“It’s nice to meet you. I’m Minnie’s brother, Lee Donghae”

 

Donghae manage to smile while shaking Youngwoon’s hand

 

“Please take care of my sister”

 

Youngwoon smiles brightly at him

 

“I will and I will love her with all my heart and soul”

 

Youngwoon notice Sungmin and Kyuhyun staring at each other

 

“Ah...please excuse me for awhile. I need to talk to my girlfriend”

 

“Ok. Let’s have a chat later brother in law”

 

Donghae nods at him before walking away

 

“Baby...”

 

Sungmin ignores him because her attention is focused on Kyuhyun. Youngwoon felt a pain in his heart because he can feel that Sungmin still loves her ex-fiancé. The man standing in front of them

 

“Baby...”

 

Youngwoon kissed Sungmin’s cheek to catch her attention. Sungmin stares at him with teary eyes

 

“Are you listening to me?”

 

“Oh yes...what is it again?”

 

Youngwoon shook his head

 

“Never mind”

 

“Where is Oppa?”

 

“He looks for his girlfriend. Let’s go?”

 

“Go?”

 

“We need to greet the other guests”

 

Sungmin nods weakly. Youngwoon holds Sungmin’s hand tightly. Sungmin stares at Kyuhyun before walking away with Youngwoon. Kyuhyun place the bouquet of pink American rose on the table. He bows his head as tears start falling from his eyes. He went out of the hotel sadly. Donghae run outside to follow him

 

“Kyu!”

 

Kyuhyun stops walking

 

“You invite me just to witness Minnie’s announcement of her wedding this coming Saturday?”

 

“Of course not, honestly, I’m also shock to hear it. I actually don’t know about it. Minnie didn’t tell me anything”

 

“Why is this happening?”

 

Donghae didn’t answer. He doesn’t know what to say. Kyuhyun bows his head

 

“Please take care of Minnie”

 

He enters the black limousine

 

“I’m sorry Kyu. I really don’t know about it”

 

Donghae sighs and goes back inside the venue. He saw Sungmin, Tiffany and Siwon talking at each other. He walks towards them and drags them outside the function room. Hyuk Jae follows them

 

“What the hell is going on here?”

 

Donghae stares at them seriously

 

“Oppa...”

 

Donghae ignores his sister. He focus his eyes on Tiffany and Siwon

 

“You know about it?”

 

They nod nervously

 

“Damn it!”

 

He stares at Sungmin seriously

 

“What the hell are you doing? Why do you need to marry someone you don’t even love?”

 

“I love Youngwoon”

 

Donghae smirks

 

“Look into my eyes and tell me that you love him”

 

Sungmin’s tears start forming in her eyes

 

“Why are you doing this Minnie?”

 

Sungmin didn’t answer

 

“Now, look into my eyes and tell me that you don’t love Kyu anymore and that you don’t care about him anymore”

 

Sungmin’s tears start falling from her eyes. Donghae sighs

 

“Arasso. Just do whatever you want. If that’s what you want then fine. I will support you because you’re my sister. I’ll see you at home”

 

Donghae drags Hyuk Jae with him as they leave the hotel

 

 

 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Cho welcome their son with a bright smile on their face. But their smile suddenly vanish upon seeing their son’s sad face and puffy eyes

 

“Sweetheart, what happen?”

 

Kyuhyun stares at his parents

 

“Minnie is getting married on Saturday”

 

Mr. and Mrs. Cho’s eyes widened

 

“It’s so painful and it hurts me so much. I only have one day left to stop the wedding. What will I do? I don’t want to lose her forever”

 

Kyuhyun run upstairs and locks his self in his room

 

“LEE SUNGMIN! WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME? IT’S SO PAINFUL, BUT WHY?”

 

Kyuhyun shouts. He sits at the corner

 

“Why? Why?”

 

Kyuhyun buries his face on his knees and starts crying his heart out

 

 

 

 

Youngwoon drops Sungmin at Donghae’s house

 

“Have a good rest”

 

“Thanks for dropping me. Are you going to be ok in Siwon’s condo?”

 

Youngwoon nods at her

 

“Don’t worry too much about me. I can take care of myself and Siwon is there”

 

Sungmin smiles at him

 

“Thank you for this night baby”

 

“You go inside now and have a good night rest. Don’t worry too much because everything will be alright”

 

Sungmin stares at him blankly. Youngwoon just smile and kissed her cheek

 

“Drive safely”

 

Youngwoon nods. Sungmin was about to go out when Youngwoon holds her hand

 

“Minnie”

 

Sungmin looks at him

 

“I love you so much”

 

Sungmin stares at him with teary eyes

 

“You don’t need to answer me. I’m just telling you how much I love you”

 

Sungmin was controlling her tears from falling

 

“Go inside now. Sleep tight”

 

Sungmin immediately went out and run inside while tears falls from her eyes

 

“I love you so much, but your heart still belongs to him and will forever belongs to him”

 

Youngwoon starts driving the car as tears start falling from his eyes
