If you see something like this [#] after a sentence, it indicate that part of it is somewhat mentioned in a chapter. The number inside the brackets are the number of the chapter. Ex: If you see [16][18], go to chapter 16 and 18 to refer the previous use of the sentences.

              She ran as fast as her feet could take despite the complete darkness of the night. There was no presence of moon lighting up the forest, making in seeming all pitch black. She ignored all the sharp and pointy branches, enduring through all the wild roots as a figure behind her in a close pursuit. There was only one thing in her mind, which is to run as far as she could. Nothing seems to bother her frighten self including all the bruises and scar she got from tripping all over.

"Shall the wild roots entwined the seeker!"

She fell down hardly as the wild roots gripped both of her ankle. The tall huge trees around her suddenly moved aside in synchronization, creating a small path behind her. 

"She who sees but blind. She who speaks but mute. She who seeks but weak." [16][18]

Those phrase was something she once heard if she was not mistaken. She tried to focus her eyesight, looking for the owner of the eerie voice that echoed throughout the deep forest. The dark night limits her visual and the wild roots were getting entwinied her hands and waist, her slowly into the soil.

An unexpected pain came rushing into her head, making her to sweat all over as she tried to scream in silence. All she could see were trees and to her surprise, her voice did not came out the way it should. She looked around as she gathers all her remaining energy to escape the torture she know nothing from who. 

"Taeyeon-unnie."

That voice. Jessica. The voice echoed once more as Taeyeon trying to figure out its wherebouts. At the same time, she could sense a scary vibe getting closer in front of her but she was under spells, blinded by the darkness of the night. She finally understands the spells earlier was meant to seize her sight, vocal and her strength.

"Taeyeon-unnie!"

Taeyeon opened her eyes, realizing it was all only nightmares that had been hunting her almost every night. It was surreal and she seems cannot escape from a figure who is still chasing her in her dreams. She wipes off the sweats as she sat down, ignoring the weird stares Jessica was giving. She know Jessica must has been curious about her state but she is still not ready to tell it without figuring out what and who is hunting her. She needs answers first. Only then she will tell the girls.

Seohyun slightly moves around and woke up. It was three in the morning and she saw Jessica sitting on the edge of Taeyeon's bed, patting Taeyeon's back.

"What's wrong?" asked Seohyun as walked towards Taeyeon's bed that is not too far from her. It was weird enough Jessica was awake because the girls know it well the fact Jessica is a sleepyhead that prefer sleep over anything and also the hardest to wake up. The lights that escaped between the curtains enable her to view half of their chamber.

"It's late." muttered Taeyeon as if she was whispering. "I'm tired. Good night." 

Taeyeon pulled over her blanket as she lay down, leaving Jessica and Seohyun to drown in their own thoughts and suspicion. She prayed the sun will rise soon, so that she can escaped and locked herself inside a library as usual. It has been three weeks she tried to find out the truth about her descendent and why all the bizzare things happened to her.

Seohyun and Jessica went back to their beds, dozed off with thousands of curiosity unanswered.

                        Jessica swayed her sword towards the target made of carved wood to make it looked like human. She missed the target and for god sake, it was her tenth times trying to aim on the heart. After tossing the metal swords away, she sat down on the grass. The view of Yoona and Sunny praticing archery a few yards over there caught her attention. She was glad Yoona's broken arm has heal entirely after a week but she is still under supervision. 

Sunny perfectly kills off every target around her, probably because she is gifted with increadible alertness and speed. On the other hand, Yoona was taking advantage of her earthbending ability to freely change the location of the targets so the arrow will hit right at the crucial aim, which were the heart, head and upper leg.

"Give up already?" a voice appeared behind Jessica and she immediately stand up, recognizing the familiar hoarse voice.

"This sword is bloody heavy." muttered Jessica as she picked up her sword on the grassy ground. Her excuses make Taecyeon giggled in silence because he noticed that Jessica has the same traits as Yuri, swearing and cursing like it is a normal thing. The only difference was Jessica is a little bit impatient than Yuri.

Jessica huffed in annoyance as she continued to whine. "I just cannot aim it right on his damn chest. See, it has been my hundredth times and only the arms fell off." Jessica swayed it once again and she missed the target. Her brows stitched together as she pointed at the wooden arms on the ground.
