The week following his birthday was strange. Things were fine for a few days, but then Kevin started to get quiet around and it was like he wasn't focusing on you when you were together, he always seemed far away in thought. You hoped he was okay, this wasn't the Kevin you knew. He wasn't cheerful, he tried, but you could tell it was fake. He didn't glow when he smiled or laughed. Also his kisses and touch started to fade. You were worried he was going to break up with you.

You sighed as you walked outside with your friends. You were christmas shopping for everyone. "I just don't get it guys, he was happy when I gave him the key to my apartment, and he always had to either hold me or kiss me and now, nothing.. Did I scare him off?"

"I don't hink that's it" Jen said. "I mean.. maybe something else is going on." she said.

"Don't worry about it baby cakes, I'm sure it will work out, don't look into it" KC said.

"Alright" you said a sad smile on your face. You knew something was wrong.

A week later you were walking home from class to see a big moving truck outside your dorm. 'Either someone's moving or moving out' you thought to yourself. That's when you saw Eli and Hoon putting boxes in the truck. "Eli, Hoon" you walked over to them. "What's going on?" you asked.

"Oh, uh.. we are moving" he said looking at you saidly. 

"Something came up and they need us at another doorm" Hoon said.

Your face fell. "Eli, what's going on? Where is Kevin" you asked sternly.

"Oh boy" he said running his hand through his hair.. "You need to make him talk to you, because he needs to be the one to tell you not us" he said. It was then you saw Kevin carring some boxes down to put in the truck. 

"You" you said to Kevin. "We need to talk" you said to him sternly.

"No" he said sadly. "We can't, I just, I need to be alone" he said.

"Kevin, talk to her" Eli said.

"No, Eli and just stay out of this" He said getting agitated. 

"You will tell me right now, I'm not letting you leave till you tell me" you said putting your foot down your eyebrow arched.

"We.. we can't be together anymore" he said sadly. "We... we aren't.. good.. for each other" he said. "I .. can't .. protect you" he said his voice straining and you could tell he was on the verge of crying.

"Don't you dare" you said tears already starting to fall. "This isn't about you not protecting me, you've been doing a great job, what gives?"

"It's not you.. its me" he said.

"What the hell dude?" Eli said.

"ELI I SAID SHUT UP!" Kevin yelled. "This is already hard" he said sadly looking at you. "Please just let me okay" he said. He then handed you back the key you gave him for his birthday. "I don't need this anymore" he told you, tears starting to slip down his face.

"Kevin, please, just talk to me, please" you said. You were sobbing now and your feet were so numb you fell to your knees on the concrete and sobbing into your hands.

"______ I can't.. please understand" he said he was balling his fists so tight you could see a bit of blood dripping he was keeping himself from going to you and you knew it. "Eli.. I'm going to get in the van, please.. make sure ______ gets up to her dorm okay"

"You punk, how dare you hurt her feelings like this, she loves you" Kevin glared at him. All you could do was sob. "I'll take her" Dongho said. "Come on _____ you don't want to get sick" he said.

You couldn't move Dongho tried to pull you up but you weren't budging. He picked you up princess style and carried you up to your dorm. He took the key from your hand which you struggled giving it to him. "No, it belongs to Kevin" you sniffled.

"Well he gave it back and we need to get you inside first okay?" he said putting you down. He opened your door and then helped you inside. "It's really not my place to say this but.. he loves you and this is killing him too"

"They why is he doing it?" you asked your voice raised tears falling.

"That's something--" he began.

"Let me see if I get this.. It's something he has to tell me and he won't because he's refusing to talk to me?" you said angrily.

"Yeah" he said. "In time he will, but right now we have to go" he told you. "We'll be in touch okay? I know Eli, Kiseop and AJ will still come around because of your friends, but.. I don't know about Kevin" Dongho said.

"I don't even want to hear his name right now.. just go" you said. He gave you sad smile and left.

Your friends came a few hours later to find you crying on your bed. 

"So its true?" Jen asked.

"HE'S SO DEAD" KC said.

"I'll help kill him" Jess said.

"No.. I want to kill him too, but what hurts me the most is he won't even tell me why he broke up with me" you told them sniffing. "Your eyes were red and your face was a mess because of all the tears. 

"Come on baby girl lets get your face cleaned up, we are going for hot chocolate and ice cream" Jess said.

"I'm not hungry" you said.

"OH NO, your eating, your drinking you are not starving yourself because boy" KC said. Even though you were said, she made you laugh. 

"Okay" you said giggling. "Thanks guys" They smiled.

Next thing you knew you were at the hot chocolate place where there many different flavors and you could create you own.

"I think I want the dark chocolate mint" you said.  "That just sounds good right now." you nodded.

"This is really good" you said sipping your dark chocolate mint hot chocolate.

"It really is" KC said. "I got the peanut butter cup flavor and its to DIE for" you laughed. It felt good to smile after crying all afternoon.

"Nothing beats this chocolate strawberry" Jen said. "Its flawless" she joked.

"I don't know this chocolate raspberry" is pretty good Jess said.

"Excuse me, but" you were interpreted.  "Um were you dating Kevin, is it true he broke up with you?" a girl asked.

"That is none of your business please leave our friend alone" KC said. "It must be true, its about time he did, he can do so much better, your not even that pretty" the girl said.

"Oh. um.." you didn't know what to say. "I'm going go.. I'm sorry guys. I'll see you later" you said. You really couldn't handle this now. How did anyone know he broke up with you? You just didn't understand. How did that  news get out so fast? You couldn't help but ponder. Once at home you unlocked and opened your door. You had no idea now if you would stay, yet all your classes from the US were transferred to the college here and you couldn't just up leave like that, you had friends here and you wouldn't desert them just because your boyfriend broke up with you.

A week later your friends and you were out Christmas shopping again. Tis the season and all they said. You weren't going to let the break up destroy your holiday, Christmas was your favorite and you were going to enjoy it. "Guys should I still get.. Kevin something?" you asked.. You were happy you could say his name without crying.

"Yes, I would, you never know that boy could come to his senses" Jess said.

"He's been doing horrible on live events" Jen said. "And when he sings a love song anymore he ends up in tears."

"Good he deserves it for what he did to ______" KC said. "Let him suffer a bit"

"But then we suffer baby girl" AJ said interrupting you. "I know" KC said. "Wait.. Why are you here?"

"We saw you from across the street at the bubble tea place" Eli said.

"Its taking all Kevin has not to run over here to you" Kiseop said.  "This is killing him" Kiseop continued as he leaned down give Jen's cheek a kiss which caused her to smile.

"If it hurts him so much why doesn't he just just get out here and apologize" you said.

"Because he's a guy, he doesn't want to admit he's been stupid" Eli said.

"So he does have some testosterone" KC said.

"Stop, KC, Kevin is very manly and.. I have faith.. I know.. somehow good or bad, this will work out" you said. "Even if he's being stubborn about it" you said.

"Okay fine, I guess you are still in love with that jerk" she said.

"I'll always love him" you said tears finally appearing and dripping down your face. You put your hands over your face and tried to dry them as best as you could.. "Um anyway.." you said trying to blink tears away.. "I think I'll do my shopping another day, you guys go ahead you don't get a lot of time together now that they aren't across the hall. I'm going to go home" you said.

"If you need anything text us" Jen said.

"She's right baby cakes" KC said. With that you turned the other way but not without looking across the street and through the window. There he was looking at you a sad expression on his face, when he noticed you looking at him he looked away. You turned and walked. He looked so tired and far from rested. Why did he break up with you if it was just going to hurt you this much.

Here it was Christmas Eve.  You already exchanged gifts with your friends and you curled up to watching your favorite Christmas movie, 'White Christmas' it seemed to fit the mood. It was the part where Phil and Judy were doing their musical number outside the club. You always loved this part to watch them get carried away. You smiled.

A knock at your door stirred you. You were expecting anyone, but still you never knew. You were in red and green plaid pj pants and a black cami over it you had a green hoodie. Always festive you were. You paused your movie and answered the door and there he was, snow in his reddish hair his soulful eyes looking into yours almost begging you to let him in.

"What are you doing here?" you asked.

"Oh, we are moving back" he said. "Um.. can I come in" he asked. 

You glared and crossed your arms over your chest. "Really? you want to come in?" you asked him.

"Jagiya, Please?" he asked.

"You lost all right to call me that when your broke up with me" you told him.

"Please let me come in?" he asked. "I'll make us tea" he said a smile on his face and to be fair it looked like a genuine smile. You nodded and let him in. "You have a lot of explaining to do." You told him.

"I know" he said sadly. "I just wish I knew how to" he said. It was then you noticed a purple-ish bruise starting to show under his eye.

"What happened to your eye? you asked.

"Um. Soohyun punched me" he said. "He has a mean right hook" he chuckled.

"Why did he punch you" 

"Because I was messing up on shows and not coherent on broadcasts" he said putting water in the tea pot and putting it on your stove. He then turned to you and pulled you near him. "He also told me to man up and just tell you what was going on" He smiled as he took you're hair out of its messy bun and ran his fingers through your hair. "I missed this"

"Hold it mister" you said moving him away from him. "You don't touch me until you explain everything" 

He pouted as you left his embrace. "Please I've missed you" he said giving you his pouty face.

"Kevin, no.. You don't touch me until we set this out and then only if I forgive you and take you back okay?"

He looked hurt "I understand _______" he said. The teapot whistled and you pulled out the cinnamon tea out and put a tea back in each of the mugs that were out. You then took a seat at the kitchen table, because you knew sitting on the couch would just be a bad idea. He sat at the spot across from you. 

He took a deep breath. "Some fans saw us when we were in Heosimcheong" he said looking at you. "They already knew about us because of my bold statement on Children's Day" he said. "I guess they didn't believe me until they saw us eating dinner" he looked at you sadly. "They started all kinds of riots with my Kevinian's" he sighed. "They put the pictures up and then soon I was getting hate messages saying I didn't need you, that you didn't suit me, that I could do better" he said taking a sip of his tea.

"So you broke up with me because of your fan's?" you asked.

"Jagi.. I mean ______ they started saying they were going to hurt you if I didn't break up with you, and the thought of you getting hurt because of me, well that thought just killed me. I thought if I could protect you by breaking up with you then that's what I'd have to do" he looked at you, his eyes so full of pain and hurt. "I wish I could take it back now, I've never been so miserable" he said.

You finished your sip of tea and looked at him. "I mean.. I can understand, but Kevin.. I'm a big girl I can take care of myself and if I didn't KC would beat them to a pulp and you know it." He laughed and it looked like his first real laugh in weeks.

"Yes, yes she could" He giggled, it was so contagious that you laughed too. "I'm such an idiot but I just wanted to protect you" he said looking at you.

"I understand but next time, talk to me first okay? You not even saying a word to me hurt the most" you told him. "I was hurt, Kevin, but the one person I wasn't expecting to be hurt by" you told him.

"I know and I'm so sorry, in fact" he began his though. "I'm here apologizing, I'm begging you, now" he sang "Please take me back please" he said smiling using your favorite line of your favorite song against you.

"You play so dirty" you glared at him playfully. You got up from your seat and sat on his lap flicking his nose. "I forgive you this time, next time you won't get off so easy" you smiled.

"Then Jagiya, will you go out with me again, this time I promise not to hurt you" he smiled at you leaning over so your foreheads touched.

"I've missed you calling me that, love" you said to him. 

"Can I please kiss you?" he asked. "If you don't say yes, I may have to steal it" he chuckled, looking at you his eyes full of happiness. You nodded and he smiled as he came in closer to kiss your lips slowly, gently and softly. Every kiss was putting you on edge and you couldn't help but run your hands through his hair as the kisses got deeper.

"STOP GIRL, REBUKE" KC said walking through the door and seeing your slight make out scene with Kevin. "Hey the girls are here and the boys are coming its UNO night y'all" she said.

"Okay, I'm rebuking the devil okay?" You said getting off Kevin's lap and moving your tea cups to the sink. You would wash them later. 

"Girl its a good thing we came in when we did" KC said. "We can't have you you going all the way when we haven't forgiven him yet for hurting you" she said. "I should hit him" she continued.

"No need" you said. "Apparently Soohyun has a mean right hook" you said pointing at Kevin's bruised eye.

"God Bless, Yes" KC said.

"Also, lady face, we wouldn't go all the way, remember?"  you said.

"Yeah well no wedding rings yet either so" Jen said. "You can't say til you get married if there is no mention of the 'M' word" she teased.

Kevin blushed. "Yeah but still we wouldn't and you know it" he sighed.

Soon your apartment was full again. Laughter was around and Kevin was back and it was Christmas Eve. You'd get to spend Christmas with him. It was perfect.

"So we get tomorrow together?" you asked. "Yes and we are going to Seoul, we have to perform for a small event, but then I'm all yours" he said. "All of you guys are coming" he nodded. "You will want to be there" he said.

"Okay" you said. "I bought an outfit to wear just for tomorrow, I can't wait to show you" you smiled.

The next day you dressed in a pair of white leggings, a red velvet skirt with white fluff around the bottom of a white shirt and over that a red velvet Santa coat your hair was down and a Santa hat on your head. You did some light make up threw on your red boots and headed out to meet the girls at the train station to go into Seoul to the performance. You had Kevin's gift with you in your purse.

"I can't wait to see why he wanted us all here" Jess said.

"I agree Kiseop wanted me here too" Jen said.

"Where my namja wants me I go" KC said

"Kevin owes me and I can't wait to see what he does" you said.

"Excuse me, but.. why are you here?" a fan asked.

"Um Kevin invited me" you said.

"Sure he did, you guys broke up okay, why would he ask you here"

"I think you should leave before I punch you because Kevin did ask her here okay" KC said.

"No, he broke up with her.. we watched as he did" she said.

"Excuse me? Did you even see how hurt he was when he broke up with her?" Jen said

"Yeah but we didn't care, he's better single" the fan glared.

"Please stop, I love him okay, not because he's handsome, not because he can dance, not because he can sing. I love him because he's the kindest, nicest, most generous person I know" you said. "Do you know just how beautiful he is on the inside? He's faith helped me in dark times. I fell in love him because of how strong he is, how bring his smile he is, there is so much more to him than this outward appearance" 

"Oh" the fan said. "You seemed to only like him for that, I mean at the dinner for his birthday you kept calling him y, and kept telling how how good he looked and how he was killing you..."

"We are dating, we are in love, we were teasing each other, I call him those names because I love him, I compliment him because I love him, its all love, none of those were said in a bad way" you told her. "Don't you call your boyfriend y or comment on him when your having a night together?" you asked.

"Well, of course" she said. "But..."

"But nothing, just stop okay just leave us alone and let him be happy" you told her. She nodded and took off.

The show was about to start and there you were right in front. Until security pulled you and your friends to go backstage. 

"Kevin, the girl that saw us at dinner actually confronted me, she though I was only with you for your looks" you told him. "She had the wrong idea too" You smiled. "I set her straight" you hugged him.

"That's great jagiya" he smiled as he hugged you kissed your cheek. "I love you so much, and that took guts but what we are about to do takes guts too" he said. "By the way, that is a very nice female Santa outfit your are wearing" he winked at you.

"Watch what we are about to do" Eli said to Jess.

"This is going be fun" AJ said.

"Oh please" Dongho replied shaking his head as they took the stage.

"KissMe's" Kevin said out on the stage. "We need to know you support us even though we have girlfriends, they mean the world to us"

"We don't want you hurting them or threatening them" Eli said kindly. 

"Please respect us" Kiseop said. 

"We love you very much KissMe's you mean everything to us if it wasn't for you we wouldn't be here doing what we are doing."  The audience cheered. They were proud of their band respecting them so much. "Now let us introduce to you our girls." Eli said bringing the girls onto the stage. 

"Hi" you greeted the audience smiling. "I'm ______ and I'm Kevin's girlfriend" you said. They cheered loudly for you, they knew you two had  a rough patch and they were cheering congratulations on Kevin and you getting back together.

The others introduced themselves and the audience cheered again happy for their boys.

Next you and your friends took your places back stage they boys sang White Christmas, Jingle Bells and We Wish you a Merry Christmas. They sounded amazing. After the performance they changed and came out. "Now they shouldn't bother you anymore" Kevin said.

"Thank you" you smiled. "Do you think we could go be alone for a bit, I want to give you your Christmas gift, and I was hoping we could check out a Christmas service at a church.

"Of course" Kevin said putting his arm around you. He remained in his white suit, red shirt and white and stripped tie. He had a red Santa hat on his head too.

"Guys we'll catch up later okay?" you said. The girls nodded.

"So you got me something for Christmas anyway?" he asked.

"I did" you smiled at him as leaned into his embrace as you walked. You stopped at the hot chocolate place to get some hot chocolate. You found a table and sat down. 

First you handed him a flat box with red and white stripped paper on it. "This time you can't give it back I won't let you" you told him.

He smiled opening the box to once again finding the key to your apartment to let himself whenever he needed to get in. "I'm so glad you gave this back to me" he said a huge smiled on his face. "I got you something too" he said. He pulled out a flat box and gave it to you. Inside was a flat red velvet box you looked at him with an arched eyebrow. "Just open it" he said. You opened it and soon you were crying. It was silver chain with a silver snowflake with diamonds on the outer edge points and one in the middle.

"Kevin this is just beautiful" you sobbed looking at the necklace.

He leaned over and wiped the tears from your eyes. "Don't cry, baby" he said. He got up and came over and put the necklace on you and placing a kiss on the back of your neck.

"Kevin this is so.. I can't" you said.

"You can and you will" he smiled kneeling in front you bringing your face to his placing a soft kiss on your lips. "I know how much you love snow and I saw this and I just had to get it for you" he smiled.

"Thank you, love" you told him as you touched the snowflake gently, you then looked into his eyes and pulled him near for another kiss. "I have one more thing for you" you told him.

"You didn't have to, I don't deserve it" he said honestly.

"You don't but you get it anyway" you smiled at him. 

You handed him him another box it was bigger. "This is for you to take with you when I can't be around" you smiled. He looked at you curiously. He opened the box and giggled softly. There was a Chococat plushie, your favorite Sanrio character. He picked it up and hugged it. "This is perfect" he smiled. "Thank you" he smiled kissing you again softly. "Thank you for taking me back, I know I was a jerk, but I'm so happy to be with you" he said making you blush. "There's that blush I love so much" he giggled kissing your lips one more time. "I owe you so many kisses" he said.

"All in good time you said." you getting up. "Shall we go find a church service?" you asked. He nodded and held you near to him as you walked to church service. This was a great Christmas and everything was how it should it be. Best of all you and Kevin were together again.

You found a nice small church and went in. The service was the usual story of how Jesus was born of a to bring peace to the earth. Kevin had his arm around you the whole service as you leaned your arm on his shoulder.

"This, this is the reason I love Christmas so much" you whispered to him. He smiled at you. "Me to, this story always chokes me up" he said. "Its best love story ever" he smiled. You nodded as you continued to listen to the service. Afterwards you headed out to find your friends and take in the lights displays around the area you were. It truly was a great Christmas.
