“Good morning Aiden!!”

“Why do you come so early in the morning Ken??” said teen whined pushing herself onto her knees and rubs her eyes, the cold air made her shiver; since she was wearing soccer shorts and a black tang top.

“Because we don’t go to the same school…so I have to come early in order to hang out with you and walk with you!”

Ken exclaimed sitting next to her; he dodged the arm that was swung at his head and hugged the latter “Hey, hey; off. Get out so that I can change” she says, glancing at him through her bangs

“Ne~”

Once the door closed Aiden sighed; it has been two week since Ken and Aiden met, and became best friends; every morning he would come early to hang out and they would walk home every day; turns out that Ken only lived one street away. So it wasn’t a long walk for the elder.

Aiden rubbed her face and ignored the calendar that had a red circle around the 25^th of November

After bathing, Aiden changed into a pair of black skinny jeans, white t-shirt, and a grey hoodie; she puts on her grey and white high tops and brushed her teeth.

Before exiting her room she puts her bracelet and necklace on and walks out the same time Kevin did; looking at him she saw he wore white skinny jeans, black t-shirt and had a black hoodie in hand

“Morning” they said before walking down the stairs

“Hey Vinnie”

“Yeah?”

“Why do I feel like I am forge-”

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEVIN AND AIDEN!!!” a chorus of voices yelled

Aiden jumped onto her brother –Kevin caught her- in shock and stares wide eyed at the people in the house

“WHY ARE YOU GUYS YELLING AT FRICKIN’ FIVE IN THE MORNING HUH?!” Aiden yelled back; glaring at everyone as they laughed.

“Sorry hun, we wanted to surprise you on your 18^th birthday~” June said smiling; Kevin set Aiden down

“That’s what I forgot, our birthday was today; I kept thinking it was tomorrow…”

“Silly child” June mumbled as Kevin went and hugged his boyfriend

Aiden rolled her eyes as Dongho hugged her “Happy birthday Aiden”

“Thank you”

Ken joined in and Dongho gave the boy a strange look, “Who are you?”

“I’m Lee Jaehwan, Aiden’s best friend”

“I see…why are you in this hug?”

“He’s a hugger” Aiden said “Kennie, let go”

“Ne~”

She laughs softly and Dongho lets go as Hyung-hwa came in holding a cake with nine candles lined up on two sides

“1, 2, 3” everyone sang to the twins and they blew out their own row of candles

“Alright, time for school kids, open your presents later”

“Ne, bye umma, appa”

The group walked for a while until Dongho and Eli had to run ahead to get to school first

“So does he know…?” Ken asks softly, arm over Aiden’s shoulders

“No, I…I want to tell him…but I don’t know how he will react”

“Well, everything will turn out alright~”

“I hope so”

“One thing I don’t get”

“What?”

“If you’re a girl, why not transfer?”

“June forgot to transfer me, it was too late anyways; I made friends and it would be rough on them if I suddenly disappeared….besides; I need my brother…”

Ken smiled and hugged Aiden “Got to go to my school; again, Happy birthday Aiden Woo”

“Thank you Kennie; have fun today”

“Ne~ have a Ken-tastic day~” the twins laughed at the boy as he slowly disappears from sight

“He likes hanging around you”

“I know; he’s like a second brother”

“No kidding” the two entered their school and awaited the day ahead of them.

Half way through school Aiden noticed no Joon, she sighed in relief as she reached the cafeteria without a problem

“Aiden~~” Zander yelled while Henry waved her over; once she sat down she was greeted with everyone’s, -Sungmin, Henry, Ryeowook, Zander, and AJ’s- smile

“Hey guys”

“Happy birthday~” the group sang

“Thanks…”

“Finally eighteen! Feel any different?”

“No~”

“Ehhh, nothing huh”

“Nope”

“Ah well.” Sungmin said as he gave Aiden a small slice of cake, “I asked the lunch lady for a slice for your birthday”

“Thank you Sungmin~” Aiden said hugging the elder

“No problem; also we gave your presents to Kevin; tell us what you think about them later ne?”

“Ne I will; thank you guys again”

They ate and chatted happily until the bell rung; “See you later Aiden; I’ll text you later”

“Okay” Aiden said, smiling and left the table and hurried to the locker room and gets her clothes, thinking she was by herself she checked her phone and saw a message from Ken and laughed

“What a dork…” she said, and replied “And sen-”

Clink!

Aiden’s eyes closed as her body slowly swayed and fell to the side

“Night princess…” Joon chuckled, his voice bounced off the walls softly.

A sigh escaped Kevin’s lips as he waited for his younger sister to come out; when everyone leaves Kevin is left confused; he calls Aiden’s cell but no answer

“Vinnie, why are you still here?” said boy turned and was brought into a hug by Eli

“Waiting for Aiden”

“Shouldn’t he be out already?”

“Yes…he doesn’t have any other classes…no practice…where is he?” he asks, “Come on, let’s go look for him…”

“Maybe the library?”

They check there first, and no sign of the latter; “Split up; this school is huge…”

“Ne, be careful; Joon could be here…” Kevin nods and they went their separate ways.

“Aiden?” Kevin called down the halls, checking every classroom; slowly worrying more and more as time passes

“Kevin!” Eli yelled and stopped him; when close enough the younger saw a white cell, decorated with markers on it; Aiden.

“Where did you find that??”

“Locker rooms, its Aiden’s right”

“Ne”

“Now the main question is where he went…” Eli said and opened the phone screen

“Missed call from you, a guy named Ken; and Dongho…Dongho before Ken…but no voice mail…”

“Let me see…” Kevin took the phone and looked through the text messages and found nothing, “Oh god Eli I am scared now” he said, biting his lip hard

“It’s okay, we’ll find him”

“I’m calling Ken”

After two three rings the elder boy picked up

“Hell-”

“Ken it’s Kevin; is Aiden with you”

“No, I’ve been waiting in front of the café we were supposed to meet at…why what happened?” Ken’s tone turned serious

“We can’t…” he paused looking at Eli

“She’s missing?”

“Ne, any ideas”

“Aniyo…I’ll look around here; I’ll call if I see her”

“Gomawo…be careful”

“Ne” the call ended and Kevin held onto the phone tightly, but not hard enough to crack the screen; millions of thoughts were going through his head.

He took a deep breath

“Kevin-”

“Eli….listen to me now okay….just….just please hear me out…”

“I will always listen; what’s wrong?” Eli laid his hands on the younger’s shoulders

“You have to promise not to be angered with what I am about to say; promise me”

“I promise…” taking another long and deep breath he finally let out the secret he promised to keep; but it didn’t matter right now.

“Aiden….i-is a girl…she didn’t want to say anything since we made so many friends on the first day; and she didn’t want to be forced to leave my side and it was too late to transfer to a new school by the time my aunt remembered….I am all Aiden has left of our family. I can’t believe she pulled it off so well, but she did. Eli we have to find her now; I’m scared to know what is happening to her right this second”

Eli stared at his boyfriend opening his mouth a few times but ended up closing it; they stayed in silence before he finally says “Then we better find her quick…I really don’t care about her gender right now; I am in shock, yes…but right now I don’t need to worry about it….you are male right”

“Eli right now is not the time to joke around; even if it is to lighten up my mood, we have to go no-”

“Guys!!”

The couple turned to see Dongho, running to them, “What happened to you?”

“Not important now; where is Aiden?”

“Missin-”

“Damn it!” Dongho yelled, pulling at his hair “Joon has him, we need to find them; Joon found out Aiden and I are together and now he’s going to do who knows what!”

“Calm down; let’s go” Eli said and the three hurried out the school and the search began.
