Chapter 8
Seoul, Saranghae"So by the time we got back to the dorm that day, everyone had pretty much had enough of each other," said Seunghyun, in the midst of talking to Natalie over webcam about the other members' recent teamwork with UC Love.
"That's funny," Natalie laughed, "I thought they were excited about all this."
Seunghyun nodded, "They were at first, but it seems like we didn't really know what we were getting into. I have it easy, though. What with all four of them busy being mentors, I get to just wander around the practice rooms and see what they're up to. The girls have talent though, I'm sure they'll work hard."
Natalie hummed in understanding then tilted her head. "Where are you, by the way?" she asked, suddenly noticing the unfamiliar walls behind him. Usually when they talked over webcam Seunghyun would be in his room, but Natalie didn't recognize his current surroundings.
"In my bedroom – my actual bedroom," he added happily, "I'm visiting home for a couple of days."
Natalie smiled. "That's great, you really could use a break," she said, only slightly masking the concern in her voice. In the midst of a busy lineup of tours across Asia, FT Island's manager had been a bit worried about the boys being overworked. Seunghyun had always been one of the more frail members of the band, but it got to the point where he stopped by a hospital briefly for an IV drip. Seunghyun nodded. "Do you want to meet them?"

"Relax," he said, "You look beautiful as always." He carried his laptop with him as he wandered through his house, looking for his parents. "Eommoni, abeoji," he called out, and the face of Seunghyun's mom joined him on the screen, soon joined by his dad as well.
Natalie introduced herself politely and Seunghyun kept the conversation short, since his parents didn't know English and Natalie's little introduction was about the full extent of her Korean. Seunghyun's younger brother even made a brief appearance. "Sehyun-ah, irawa," Seunghyun called him over, and the two boys bickered with each other for a moment. Sehyun stole the laptop out of his brother's hands, and when his face appeared onscreen, Natalie noticed the slight resemblance between the two. She was also surprised that Seunghyun's younger brother actually looked older than him.
"Annyeong," she waved at him.
"Wah~ Noona neomu yeppeo," Sehyun exclaimed, winking at her cutely.
"Yah, nae yeoja sondaejima," Seunghyun shoved the younger away, who could now be heard laughing in the background.
