“Stop! Stop running, you idiotic vampire!” A young girl jumped down from the second storey balcony and chased after the pale-looking boy in the dark and dirty alley. Her long and curvy ponytail swayed left and right due to her vigorous action. Her knee-length peach dress and matching heels did little to hinder her progress of catching up with the fleeing guy.

Just as she was one foot away from her target, she kicked the poor guy’s bottom which made him grunt in pain and stumbled onto the ground. Yuri grabbed the opportunity to sit on top of him and drove a small silver stake into his heart.

Well, unlike those typical vampire movies, the guy did not burst into ashes but was only held immobilised. His shock-widened eyes stared up at the evilly grinning girl. “Oh gosh, why did I thought of her being a beautiful angel just now and approached her…?” The young vampire thought sulkily.

“Thank you for your compliment, Mr Vampire… Well, never judge a book by its cover… Don’t you know that…?” The ‘innocent-looking’ girl replied cheekily. “Too bad that your intended victim is not an easy girl…” The poor vampire’s face turned ashen-white upon realising that the girl was able to hear his thoughts.

“Yuri!” The young girl raised her head to see her cousin running towards her. “Sigh… Yuri… Though we’re trained to take down supernatural beings, you shouldn’t have acted on your own… It’s dangerous!”

Yuri stood up and patted her overly-concerned cousin’s wide shoulder. “Donghae… I’m fine! Don’t be such a nagging old man!”

“Yuri!” Donghae shouted again. However, Yuri covered her ears and ignored him. Donghae sighed in exasperation.

The immobilised vampire lay angrily on the ground as he was not being paid attention by the quarrelling duo. Being caught and disregarded were so embarrassing. “Oh god! How am I going to lead my gang from now on?” The poor guy groaned inwardly.

“Hey, dude… Do you think we will let you back so easily…? And don’t bother to request help from God… We will ‘help’ you…” Yuri smirked evilly. The frightened vampire shuddered involuntarily...
