—Luhan’s POV—

We headed towards the gym for ~~~~~’s last game before official inter-high tournaments next week. If they beat XXXX HIGH again they can be placed first seeding.

“Do you have everything you need?” I asked ~~~~~ as she shuffled through her bag

“Tape, tape, tape” she said looking in her bag for it

“Here silly” I said tapping her head with the tape I prepared for her before hand

“Thanks!” she smiled at me and began to tape the tip of her pointer and middle finger

“Here’s water, I refilled it just before, still cold” I said tossing her a bottle of water as soon as she finished wrapping her fingers

“Thanks Oppa!” she smiled again. It feels like nowadays those are the only words I hear from her

“And your towel! Always leaving it around the place” I said as I took her towel out of my bag and placed it around her shoulders

“Thanks Oppa, I would be so unprepared if it weren’t for you! You’re like my guardian angel always supporting me in times of need” she said holding up the water bottle and towel while showing me her angelic smile. 

“Yeah” I said under my breath and watched her walk to Sehun before the game started. They were acting more like a couple now that she knows about JiEun.

—Sehun’s POV—

I know hyung still likes ~~~~~. The way he watches her as she approaches my side, I know because we’ve been friends for years.

—Narrator’s POV—

The game was about to start as you walked on the courts when Sehun pulled you in for a quick kiss and whispered a warming ‘good luck’ to you as you let out a smile. Small actions like this always made you skip a heartbeat.

JiEun on the opposite team watched as you and Sehun flirted with each other even though she knew it should have been her in your place instead

“He was mine” she mumbled lowly to herself as she got on the court

“Baby, if you play well and win, let’s go on a date on Saturday!” Sehun shouted from the sidelines which caused you to smile.

He knew what Saturday was, you’ve been dating for nearly 6 months and it’s your birthday this Saturday, the moment you heard this you began to smile like crazy and set on winning.

“Service!” you called as soon as the whistle blew and right off the back you played with your left hand wanting to end the game.

“She’s serious today” Coach Kim said looking at Luhan who kept the stats this game

“Yeah…” Luhan answered and continued to watch you play. He did it all the time, whether during practice or games his eyes were only fixated on you.

“Game!” the ref called as you ended the first game with a final spike down the middle catching JiEun off guard.

“Dam it!” JiEun said punching her fist together and looking at you

“You took my Sehun and now my game too!” she yelled lowly and glared at you

“Service!” you got into your position as JiEun served the ball right to you, in one swift motion you allowed the ball to sink in your arms and gave a perfect return pass to Victoria who then set the ball high. As soon as you saw the ball leave her hand you took three steps before jumping and spiking the ball before the 10-foot line awing everyone in the audience.

“Nice one!” You heard Victoria say as you landed on the floor. She gave you a high five as it was her turn to serve now and everything went according to place. In 4o minutes your team won and placed first seeding. Being in the first seeding means that you play the schools with the lowest seeding and making it easier to enter the final round.

“Good game!” you said as you shook hands with the opposing team. When you got to JiEun she just gave you a small smile as the two of you never talked much. She gave you a quick high five and left without a word

“Did I do something wrong?” you thought to yourself as you watched JiEun storm out of the gym with her bag

“Congratulations Baby!” Sehun said running to your side

“Thanks” you said as he gave you a quick peck

“Keep it PG ~~~~~” Victoria said as she grabbed you away from Sehun sticking her tongue out at him

“She’s my daughter, so I don’t approve of you being all over her” Victoria laughed as she dragged you away from him. You turned and mouthed ‘I’m sorry’ to him and he just smiled and nodded.

Suddenly Sehun stopped eye contact with you when his phone began to vibrate and you just nodded and went with the team as they cheered for being placed first seed.

—Sehun’s POV—

Who is it all of a sudden texting me

To: Sehunnie

From: Your JiEunnie

“Oppa, I know you might be with ~~~~~ right now but I want someone to talk to please?”

What’s wrong with JiEun? She looked fine just moments ago. Without thinking twice I went off to find her and I knew just where she would be.

“JiEun” I called her name as she turned around with tears in her eyes

“What’s wrong!” I said quickly rushing over to her. All she did was hug me as I hugged her back

“Oppa” she called out as I brushed her hair out of her face

“Why?” she asked

“What are you saying JiEun?” I asked trying to make out what she was saying between her sobs

“Why did you leave me?” she asked. I got mad and lost it at that comment. REALLY?

“I didn’t leave you. You left me remember?” I told her and parted from her suddenly remembering that I already have ~~~~~ in my life

“You promised you’d be here for me!” she shouted while hitting my chest

“You promised I’d be the only one for you!” she sobbed louder

“JiEun! You left me for Daehyun remember? You said you no longer loved me so I let you go!” I said holding her hands to prevent her from hitting me again. That was when she broke down and fell on my weakly

“I need you Oppa, don’t leave me. You said you’ll always love me” she said grabbing my shirt in her hand

“I’m here aren’t I?” I said while holding her hand. I must admit I missed her in my arms like this. The three years we spent together was blissful. I couldn’t hope for anything more. I loved her and gave her my all. I did everything for her, more than I ever thought I would. Three years of relationship is hard to break off all of a sudden.

“Oppa, I still love you” JiEun said picking her head up from my chest as she stared at my eyes. Those sweet eyes I missed looking only at me. At this moment I know I was the only one in her head.

“I love you Oppa. Come back to me” she said and caressed my cheek in her fragile and tiny hands

“I have ~~~~~ already” I said pushing her hand away from my face

“But I still love you! I know you still feel the same!” she said clinging onto me. I can’t lie but she was right, although a part of my heart belonged to ~~~~~, more of it belonged to JiEun.

“JiEun.” I said and before I finished I felt her pink and soft lips against mine, the way it use to be.

“JiEun” I mumbled trying to move away but slowly I just lost the strength and held her close to me as I lost myself in this old bliss we use to share.

—~~~~~’s POV—

“Where did Sehun Oppa go?” I asked Luhan as we packed out bags

“I think he had something to attend to. He just looked at a message and ran out” Luhan replied helping me pack up

“I’ll take that” he said and took my duffle. You know at times like this it seems like Luhan Oppa was my boyfriend and not that stupid Sehun. Luhan Oppa has always been by my side helping me with even the littlest things.

“Let’s go” he said and held his arm out as I laughed and placed my arm between his. I felt so comfortable with Luhan Oppa, just like how I did with Oppa when we were younger. Luhan really resembled Oppa a lot in many ways in such that he’s caring, loving, sweet, cute, not so tall, athletic, smart and well lovable. I always wonder why Luhan Oppa didn’t have a girlfriend he must have someone special in mind.

“It’s such a nice day today!” I smiled as I ran a bit further and suddenly something caught my eye as I stopped in my tracks.
