"Yerin-ah! Thank you so much for letting me stay here."
"What's with this awkwardness? We're friends. Don't say something like that." Yerin replied warmly. She went for a warm hug as the most anticipated woman just arrived and stood in front of her face.

Sejeong arrived at Yerin's apartment that pretty evening while the taller woman was just finished cooking the dinner, or more like a welcome dinner for her. Yuju and Yewon sent her a text earlier, right after Sejeong's call to make sure that the younger woman wouldn't bother her, but she was sure that she moved on already from everything and clearly, if Sejeong is the one that could make Eunbi live a happier life, nothing she should do but to let go.. Besides, Sejeong actually did nothing wrong and it's not like she knew everything. Sejeong was an outsider and knew nothing at all about her, or Eunbi, or even worse, their little story.

"Jeongmal masisseoyo! Wah." Sejeong scooped a full spoon of hot sundubu jjigae inside .
"You can talk in banmal though."
"Okay." She laughed a little. "Yuju told me you're a great cook."
"Really? Well, I used to cook every day. I love it." Yerin replied. "Glad that Yuju told a good stuff."
"She always tells a good stuff about you." Sejeong glanced at her. "Actually..."
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing. Actually, I've been craving to ask you this question."
"Okay. What question?"
"Are you okay?"
"Am I okay about what exactly?"
"About Yuju and my sister." Sejeong looked a little uneasy. "I just knew that you and Yuju—"
"Oh my God. That?" Yerin laughed. "Nothing you should worry about. Really."

Relaxing and even laughing a little, Yerin returned to spooning the red broth into , as well as a spoonful of hot rice served in front of her. She was actually feeling a bit bitter, and it was hilarious how Sejeong did actually care about her feelings, or more like worried about what was going on with her and Yuju in the past. Sejeong is a woman who has a personality that is no less beautiful than her appearance. And for that, she felt so peaceful and surrendered to whom Eunbi's choice of heart anchored in the end.

"Do you still love Yuju after all?"
"Of course I do."
"You do?" Sejeong's eyes grew wider.
"I do. She's my best friend for years. Regardless."
"Ah I see." She bit her lower lip lightly. "I was wondering if you left to London to forget it all."
"You mean Yuju and Yewon?"
"Yeah."
"No." Yerin laughed. "It wasn't that. Geez. I couldn't be any happier for Yuju to finally found a perfect match. Yewon is the best woman for her, and I'm a supportive best friend. I couldn't be any happier. Really."
"You're so strong, and amazing, Yerin." She looked at Yerin softly. "I'm glad for my sister as well. She deserves all the happiness."
"I know. Yuju told me everything. I believe Yewon deserves nothing less. She's an amazing woman."

The conversation at the dinner table warmed her heart. After washing the dishes, Yerin decided to return to her room and opened her laptop again. There would be an important meeting the next morning at the office and she needed to prepare some presentation slides for it. She asked Sejeong's permission, as well as giving her time to unpack her things and make herself comfortable in the room she would share with her for a few nights.

Sejeong smiled while looking at Yerin who was busy sitting at her desk and focused on staring at the bright screen in front of her. Yerin plugged her ears with headphones and was immersed in her world. Sejeong started to open the suitcase and tidy up some of the clothes she was carrying while replying to some of the messages that came into her cell phone. Silently, she stared at the tall woman's back from behind. There was something about Yerin that she always wanted to know. The woman looked down, and all those time, she thought that Yuju who finally chose Yewon was the reason for all the gloom. But that night, she clearly knew that wasn't the case, and from the sincerity in Yerin's eyes, Sejeong knew she wasn't lying to her.

Sejeong was about to head to the bathroom when her eyes landed on a light yellow photo frame with glitter splashes around it. It was a photo of Yerin with her father. The photo looks like it was taken while on vacation with a very beautiful beach background. Probably Bali? Or Boracay? Sejeong's smile faded slowly when her eyes became aware of something she recognized, an object she had seen before, something that made her aware of something stuck in her mind: a mini pastel yellow satin scarf, the same scarf she found in Eunbi's car.

"Yerin-ah. I believe you know more about Eunbi." Sejeong started the conversation, the conversation that Yerin would desperatedly like to avoid, no matter how much it cost.
"Not really. I mean, we spent time together back then when I was trying to find Yuju. But that's all."
"Really? I'm just so clueless about her sometimes."
"Exactly."
"I met some deadlocks to be able to understand her."
"Eunbi is indeed a mysterious woman."
"That's why. I'm doubting it all, her feeling for me. So many times."
"What happened?" Yerin felt curious about the statement.
"I don't know? Maybe it's just a feeling?"

Yerin sipped the glass of cinnamon-scented hot chocolate in her hand. Sejeong was not wrong. Eunbi is indeed very difficult one to predict. She also went through several thorny routes to understand the woman's feelings at that time. For a moment, images of Eunbi and her flashed through her stuffed head again. Her mind didn't stop there. She missed her. She missed how the cold Eunbi could make her heart feel the warmest with every step and word she said. She missed how Eunbi's eyes could stab her and how her kisses could drown her easily. Yerin closed her eyes and tried with all her might to push the shadow away.

"Eunbi is actually a warm, caring, and comforting people." Yerin started to open up. "She might look so calm and cold outside, but actually she think a lot about people that she loves. Even she's willing to sacrifice for them." Like the ocean, she has that deep mind you might never be able to swim on it, but let that guide you to her heart."
"Well. I think you observe a lot more than I thought." Sejeong smiled.
"She told some stories." Yerin replied. "She's a good woman. Really."
"You're right. How to not fall in love with her? Right?"

Sejeong let out a little chuckle that Yerin reacted the same way to melt the situation. Yerin thought she was probably talked too much. She felt a little awkward about how Sejeong stared at her intently. She picked up a piece of cookie on the counter and cut it in half. Carefully, she watched how the shards produced a few crumbs which she slowly rubbed so as not to dirty her desk. Yerin wanted to end the session. She wanted to go back to the apartment without Sejeong and lie down alone, letting herself sink into the darkness and silence once again.

"What happened on the day she got an accident?"
"It was my fault." Yerin felt like opening an old wound. "Somebody snatched my bag away and I chased him. I fell on the ground that I was desperately want to chase him. Eunbi told me to let him go but I told her I should get the back cause there's something precious inside the bag. I was so stubborn, and selfish. She decided to chase the man. And that happened." Yerin felt the worst kind of pain to remember every detail. Slowly, she remembered how scary it was to ever think of it, that Eunbi could die and leave forever.
"She did it for you."

Yerin couldn't avoid Sejeong's glare. She didn't understand the thoughts of the woman in front of her, but Sejeong looked very focused on digging something there. Yerin felt a little intimidated by that stare and decided to cut it off. Clumsily, her right hand took a piece of cookie and bit it in exasperation. She tidied her unkempt hair, and her eyes tried to avoid Sejeong's sharp gaze.

"She's a good friend. I'm forever grateful for her."

Sejeong didn't continue the conversation, but smiled the warmest at Yerin. Her cell phone rang loudly. Yewon finally called her, after two days of trying to contact her, the sister who had been avoiding her a bit. She smiled at Yewon's name on her cellphone and immediately picked up the phone. She motioned for Yerin to be able to wait for her for a moment before she headed out to be able to take Yewon's call freely.

Sejeong returned to the table after a while. Her gaze felt emptier than before, but it was much gentler. Yerin stared at her silently until finally she sat back down and smiled at her. Later Yerin glanced at her watch. She had to immediately end the chat session at lunchtime and return to her office.

"I think it's time for you to go back to office." Sejeong mumbled. "I'm sorry that I bother you a lot, Yerin-ah!"
"Why are you saying that? It's not like you're coming to London everyday."

They laughed at each other. Everything felt a lot better.

"Actually, I need your help though."
"What's up?"
"So, you know that I will be meeting Eunbi tommorow."
"Ah. Yeah. The date." Yerin smiled.
"Yeah. I forgot that I should give something to a friend of mine."
"Oh. Is it really important?"
"It is. I have to deliver it tommorow, since my friend will fly back to Seoul in the next morning."
"Ah so..."
"Yeah. I need your help to deliver the stuff to her. Will you be free tommorow? On the evening."
"I guess so? After office, I will be out of office around 7, prolly 8. Would that be okay?"
"8 pm is perfect."

Sejeong wore a dark blue velvet evening dress which made her look so graceful that night. Before striding towards her destination for the night, she sprayed her perfume on her neck and wrists, rubbing them lightly to allow the scents to meld well. The night she had been waiting for was in sight. After glancing at the clock on the wall in the room, she smiled at her own reflection in a body-length mirror in front of her. She brushed her hair back and slowly walked downstairs to get into the white Jaguar car that Eunbi had sent to pick her up.

Eunbi smiled at her broadly, and in her black satin evening suit, she was no less stunning than the woman who had just arrived at her table. A few hours before Sejeong's arrival, Eunbi questioned why the woman had so emphatically stated that she didn't want to be picked up directly by her, and also mysteriously didn't reveal the address of the hotel where she was staying. Sejeong felt different from before, even though Eunbi didn't really mind it. Elegantly, Eunbi stood up and pulled out a chair in front of her so Sejeong could sit across from her at the table she had rented to protect her privacy.

"You look amazing tonight." Eunbi kissed her cheek softly.
"Likewise."
"And being so mysterious recently."
"How do you feel about it?"
"A little confused?"
"Oh trust me. Everyone feel the same way about you. Glad to know you're feeling it too right now."
"Well."

The conversation that took place in the next 60 minutes was so enjoyable. Eunbi honestly imagined something more rigid because she clearly realized that Sejeong was at the breaking point in her confusion to find answers from her. For so long together, she felt clearly how Sejeong questioned what was in her heart and where this relationship would go. Eunbi was still lost in thought as a waitress poured red wine into her glass, the second time that night.

"Eunbi-ah."

Eunbi gulped slowly. She knew it was the time.

"Sej—"
"I love you." Sejeong interrupted her. "Like a lot."
"Sejeong-ah."
"That
