Over Years
Junhyung | Hyuna
He paused to look for the ingredients his wife was asking for him to buy. Tonight would be their only son's birthday and a surprise dinner for the little kid was planned by his playful parents. Although knowing the kid hates things mentioned, the dad would still be overwhelmed knowing that they still prepare things for the kid to be childish. It's been a while since they last celebrated it alone since the kid always wants to hang-out with a few friends only or spent a day reading his favorite music related book; getting all his dad's talent alone. Seeing the spagetti sauce his wife idledly written in the list, he took 3 packs and dropped it into the shopping cart. He pushed it again and looked for the rest of the ingredients written on the paper. "Oh, Junhyung-shi?" A voice came to his ears, familiar one. He looked up from the racks of groceries to his side, seeing a familiar woman dressed in a casual clothe and high heels. She was also with a shopping cart, obviously having her own time shopping. "Miss—" He paused, pondering his greetings to himself. His expressions changed and greeted her with a warm smile now. "Mrs. Lee." He said, bowing his head lightly. The lady paused and eventually smiled as well, kindly accepting the greeting. Her hands on the shopping cart tightened but the smile never faded. "How are you?" She asked, pushing the cart to her side to give the man some space. "Your wife and kid as well?" "They're fine, my kid's having his 8th year birthday celebration tonight." He said, settling himself across her. She smiled warmly and patted his shoulder in greetings. "Tell the kid happy birthday." "You, how are you?" He asked, pointing to her. "I'm fine. We're having our vacation here with my kid and my husband's coming the next week." "So, you really migrated huh?" He asked, in a teasing voice. "After the marriage, we decided to leave since his career was better there than here." "I thought I was being joked around hearing you left the country that time." "Were you still waiting for me back then?" "Uhm, I don't know. I'm married for 10 years now so the past has no use to me." "Mention me, I'm 13 years married." She answered back, trying to make the situation more lively. But the words made his smile fade. He chuckled to himself before rasing his head to acknowledge. "You're right. 3 years earlier than me." "Is there a problem?" She asked, moving her head closer to look at his expression. "No, the joke was just too strong." He answered back. She sighed before showing a small smile to him. "It's been years and you can't still forgive me?" She questioned, crossing her arms on her chest. "Not that I don't—" "Admit it Junhyung." S
