Kim Myungsoo brushed the hair of the girl that he loved affectionately. She’s sleeping and that’s the time when he liked seeing her best. Not talking, eyes closed. He could stare at that angelic face all night. But suddenly, his eyes caught the sight of her hands. No sign of the ring anywhere. He started to panic. What if she threw that thing away?

He squeezed the girl’s hand tight, causing her to wake up. She’s shocked alright, seeing his face close to hers.

‘What’re you doing?’ She asked with her eyes half opened.

‘Where’s the ring that I gave you earlier?’ He frowned but just to receive a giggle from her.

‘Here, silly!’ She reached out to her necklace, showing the ring that he gave her. Spontaneously, a sigh of relief escaped his mouth.

‘I thought you threw that away.’ His hand crept on her cheek, caressing it tenderly. She took his hand and held it tight.

‘I couldn’t throw a present, right?’ She showed him her ever cute smile. She’s happy seeing him like that. Forgetting the world behind them, the gap between their faces lessened and both of them shared a deep kiss.

‘I love you, Suzy.’

‘I love you too.’

He grieved all night at the roof top, thinking about his beloved who’s no longer in the same world as his. He held the flute tight, reminiscing on their cherished memories together.

‘Woohyun-shi?’ Suzy poked his arm. It’s already morning and he’s there, sleeping outside in the coldness. His eyes opened slowly, seeing an angel before his eyes.

‘Suzy? What’re you doing here?’ He sat up slowly as she took a spot beside him.

‘It’s morning. I just come here to breathe in the morning chill. Never thought of seeing you here. You could catch a cold, sleeping out here.’ She said while enjoying the morning breeze.

‘I thought you don’t want to get too close to me..’

‘You know, no matter how hard I tried to get far away from you, we always ended up getting closer. Maybe you and I have some kind of bizarre connection between us.’ She let out a small laugh.

‘Legend says that every human was split into two because Zeus feared their power. Maybe you’re my other half, Suzy.. Well, maybe we’re not attached intimately... ’ He said meaningfully. She turned to look at him.

‘So, you’re my soul mate?’

‘Perhaps..’
