Before Daeyeol died + when he became a vampire (Died and reborn as a vampire on 1893; Setting: 11 February 1893):

"Daeyeol ah!" 23-year-old Daeyeol turns around and smiles as he looks at his brother approaching him. It is a perfect dawn and the peaceful country is quiet as usual. The two men hug each other and they walk at the muddy road to go to a cottage. They dress like real gentlemen and Daeyeol holds a bouquet of flowers. Sungyeol looks at his younger brother and asked, "You're nervous?"

Daeyeol nods and replied, "I am. I keep asking some questions to myself."

"What do you mean?" Sungyeol asked, curious. Daeyeol sighs heavily and replied, "If she likes me back or not."

"Don't worry," Sungyeol puts his hand on Daeyeol's shoulder, "She will accept you."

At the cottage, a teen girl is making three cups of coffee at the kitchen. She takes out a sachet of red powder and cuts it open. She pours the powder inside the two coffee and quickly keeps it inside her pocket. She quickly stirs the coffee and sounds of people entering the house could be heard.

"Joanne, bring the coffee please," a woman's voice could be heard. The teen, Joanne, put the cups on the tray before bringing it to the front. She puts the tray on a table and sits before smiling at Daeyeol. A woman in her late 20s said, "It's great to see you here, birthday boy."

Daeyeol chuckles and nods before taking his beaver hat off. He takes the cup, followed by Sungyeol and the woman, as they chatter. Daeyeol drinks the coffe without knowing anything. His eyes glistening and said, "This is so good."

Sungyeol nods and drinks it. He looks at the woman who keep blinking her eyes for a while. He asked, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Just feeling a little tipsy if you ask me," the woman replied. Sungyeol senses something isn't right. He looks at Daeyeol and takes the drink before realising there's red powder at the corner of the ceramic cup. He touches the powder and smells it before his eyes widened in shock. He puts the cup down and looks at Daeyeol who isn't felling well. He stands and pulls Daeyeol up before saying, "We have to go now."

"Sure," Joanne replied. The two men leave the house and Daeyeol coughs before asking, "Why don't I feel good?"

"You're poisoned. We need to get a coach to go to the hospital," Sungyeol replied as he fasten up his pace. Daeyeol vomits and bubbles could be seen forming on his lips. Sungyeol bite his lips and said, "Hold on. I don't want you to leave me."

"I trust you," Daeyeol replied before his eyes close shut. His system stops and Sungyeol looks at him before letting him go. Daeyeol falls to the ground and Sungyeol kneels before holding his brother's hand. It is so cold. He starts crying and shouts, "D
