세븐틴: Kiss of a Prince

        Sebongies stopped attending various activities first as per CEO’s order. He suspected that their talents should and deserved a good rest, especially because they would go on another pressuring and tiring rehearsals and performances on their upcoming world tour concert ‘Diamond Edge’. They were given a 3 day break. Even Jihoon couldn’t go to his office because everyone restricted him from working.

        Each and every day, the boys visits their angel at the hospital, helping Jeonghan’s parents to look after him. Poor angel, he’s still sleeping. Doctor Eric was the one who’s looking after him because Doctor Heon Wook had his surgery schedules. He kept Jeonghan busy even in his sleep. He made him listen to music, he even let him hear movies. Sometimes, he talks to him. He also made him do his therapy by some exercises even in his sleep by massaging some pressure points.

        Seungkwan, DK, and Wonwoo were the ones who’s in charge of Jeonghan at the moment. It was Jeonghan’s 7^th day from his deepest of dreams, still no progress has been found. As soon as Seungkwan dropped his things, he sang a happy song for his angel. DK joined him. Doctor Eric was also enjoying their world-class performance. On the other hand, Wonwoo shhhh-ed them.

Wonwoo:

You’re too loud. Keep your voice down. You’re not the only one in the hospital.

Seungkwan:

(Rolled his eyes)

Fine. Fine.

        Seungkwan and DK just whispered on Jeonghan’s ears because Wonwoo would keep on nagging at them, for sure. Wonwoo positioned himself on the couch and brought his book out and read quietly.

DK:

Wonwoo, hyung… why can’t you sing for Hannie-hyung instead of reading?

Wonwoo:

Because you’re all here.

I’ll sing for him when we’re alone.

Seungkwan:

Tsk! Hyung! Where’s your heart?

Wonwoo:

It’s still here.

DK:

Why so serious?

(He )

Wonwoo:

(Wore a very serious face and stared at them before he answered)

Just keep your mouth shut or if not, just keep it low.

        Wonwoo remained quiet since Jeonghan fell into the curse, so no one knew what’s in his mind. The two boys shut their mouth immediately. Then, it made the doctor wondered of what happened.

Seungkwan:

Daebak! He’s really scary.

(Sighed)

DK:

Hyung, don’t stress yourself. C’mon! Hyung will wake up…ah… soon.

        They received no reply after that conversation. Doctor Eric excused himself to have a break first, since his friends were already there.

Doctor Eric:

I’m leaving him to you.

(He smiled gently.)

Seungkwan:

Yes, doctor. (In English)

        Seungkwan was so proud of himself because he understand what the doctor was saying.

-Sebongies’ Dorm-

        The door rang and Mingyu was the one who rushed to open the door. He was surprised when he heard a very adorable voice.

Hansol:

Hanhan!

The boy became so happy when the door was open. He was expecting Hanhan but Mingyu opened it instead; nevertheless, he was also happy to see Mingyu too. He looked at his father and pointed at Mingyu. He sounded like he’s introducing him to Mingyu.

Hansol:

Papa~ (pointed at Mingyu) Appa! Goo!

Mingyu:

Omo~ I’m hyung.

Mr. Jin Woo (Hansol’s Father):

He kept on telling me that.

(He giggled)

I think he’ll remember it until he grow old.

Mingyu:

Oh no.

(He chuckled)

        Mingyu reached his hands to the happy Hansol, while the cherub reached his tiny arms to the tall man. Appa Goo got hold of his baby Cherub and he felt happy upon seeing him again.

Mingyu:

How are you?

Hansol:

Gooood!

Mr. Jin Woo:

(Handed him a gift set from China)

Here, it’s for you.

Mingyu:

Thank you, sir. Please come in.

Hansol:

Hanhan. Amma (Appa+Omma) ! Hanhan!

Mingyu:

You miss us?

Hansol:

Yeah!

(He started to sing again.)

Mr. Jin Woo:

I’m so sorry, he’s just excited.

And thank God I did not get lost this time.

Mingyu:

(He chuckled)

How’s your wife, hyung?

Mr. Jin Woo:

Oh, she’s fine. She went to her parents. I let her have her vacation while she’s recovering.

(He smiled)

Mingyu:

That’s a good news.

Please join us in our lunch.

Hansol:

Hanhan?

Where’s Hanhan?

Mingyu:

He’s not here. You want to see him?

Hansol:

Yes!

Mr. Jin Woo:

Maybe he’s busy. We’ll just visit him next time.

Mingyu:

No, he’s not busy at all. He’s just… in the hospital and he’ll be glad if Hansol will visit him.

(He smiled with a sad expression.)

Joshua:

Mingyu yah, who’s there?

(He peaked from another door.)

Mingyu:

Oh! It’s Hansol and his dad.

Seungcheol:

(Immediately went out of his room to see Hansol)

Hansol-ah!

(He greeted them happily.)

Hansol:

Cheolie!

        Seungcheol extended his arms to embrace the cute boy that he missed so much.

Seungcheol:

I missed you.

(Greeted Hansol’s father)

Good afternoon sir.

(He bowed his head down)

Mr. Jin Woo:

May I know what happened to Jeonghan? Is he okay?

Mingyu:

He’s sleeping. I mean…

Seungcheol:

He’s on a coma for seven days now.

(Straight right to the point.)

Mr. Jin Woo:

(Was surprised about hearing that.)

Wh-what happened?

Mingyu:

It’s his disease, hyung.

I will explain it later. Please eat with us.

Mr. Jin Woo:

I hope he’ll wake up soon.

Hansol:

Mandu! (dumplings)

Mingyu:

Oh! You miss my cooking?

C’mon let’s eat!

        They called the boys to greet Hansol and his father, then they started eating. Mingyu was busy feeding the boy before he’d take a bite. Jin Woo wanted to get Hansol, but Hansol refused and continued playing with Mingyu and Vernon.

Mingyu:

If it’s okay with you, I will take you to the hospital after our meal.

Joshua:

I can do that. You go straight to your shooting location. You’ll be late.

Mingyu:

Okay, hyung.

Joshua:

Get ready now.

(Looked at Hansol gently)

Let me take you to Hanhan, okay?

I am Joshua. Shu---a.

Hansol:

Shwa!

Joshua:

(He couldn’t help but giggle)

Correct! You’re adorable!

        As planned, they went to the hospital right after they ate.

-In the Hospital-

        Joshua gently knocked on the door, as a courtesy of a gentleman, before opening the door.

Hansol:

Hanhaaaaaan!

        The little man dashed inside as soon as Joshua opened the door. For a moment, after running wild inside the room, he felt lost because he couldn’t see Jeonghan anywhere.

Seungkwan:

Aigoo~ gwiyeowo!

        He carried the little man and placed him on the side of the bed to see Jeonghan, while Joshua was explaining everything to Mr. Jin Woo. Upon hearing about Jeonghan’s condition, he felt sad and offered his prayers for his fast recovery. On the other hand, Hansol was quietly observing Jeonghan.

Hansol:

(Looked at Seungkwan)

He’s sleeping. Shhhh!

(He cutely placed his point finger on his lips.)

Wonwoo:

(He smiled)

Even Hansol wanted you to shut your mouth.

(He teased the poor handsome marshmallow.)

Seungkwan:

You’re so mean, hyung.

(Sulked)

        Meanwhile, a song was heard loudly in the room. It was Seungkwan’s phone ringing with the assigned ringtone of ‘Don’t wanna cry.’ He was supposed to answer Mingyu’s call when Hansol recognized it and stood up on the bed. DK immediately ran to assist the child.

DK:

Careful, Hansol-ah.

        Hansol didn’t mind DK’s advice and started swaying his head to the music, then his feet started to stomp mildly. When the music started, Hansol started to groove with finesse. Seungkwan and DK were amused of Hansol’s dance. He asked Wonwoo to play the music because he needed to answer the call. The sharped-eyed man played the music and started filming him while dancing.

        Hansol paused as the music stopped –because Seungkwan answered it- but resumed dancing when he heard it again. When the chorus came, he started singing with his proud voice.

Hansol:

(ulgoshipji) na(ah) na!

(Banged his head to the beat)

(ulgoshipji) na(ah) na!

        He was so cute that they couldn’t help but laugh and adore him at the moment. His father, Jin Woo, seemed so proud of his son’s talent as he smiled and clapped his hands.

Mr. Jin Woo:

I guess, you’re not going to follow me (an engr.)

        The boys laughed with Mr. Jin Woo’s sentiments.

Mr. Jin Woo:

I’ll support you, anyway.

(He smiled.)

Seungkwan:

We’re always here for you, Hansol-ah!

Mr. Jin Woo:

He likes your songs.

Joshua:

Thank you, Hansolie.

Mr. Jin Woo:

As a matter of fact, he loved watching you on YouTube. He kept on asking Jeonghan whenever I use my phone.

He really loves you.

        The boys were touched upon hearing those cute compliments from his father and thanked them for their love and support.

        After the music, the poor kid got tired and sat carefully beside Jeonghan’s face.

Mr. Jin Woo:

Hansol-ah, don’t go near there. You might hurt him.

Hansol:

Noooo.

(With a frowning brows and pouty lips, which he got from Jeonghan whenever he teased Seungcheol with his not so laughable jokes.)

        Hansol brushed Jeonghan’s face gently, while calling his name.

Hansol:

Hanhan-ah, Hasol i ya~ (Hanhan-ah, it’s Hansol)

        He kissed the angel’s cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, and then his lips. Again, he got that from Jeonghan whom repeatedly kissing him to wake him up whenever they had scenes to do.

Hansol:

Wake-up Hanhan. I’m here.

        He felt sad when Jeonghan was not waking up. He became quiet after another sweet kiss. The gentlemen felt sad too because Jeonghan couldn’t respond at all.

        One moment later…

Jeonghan:

Hansol-ah.

(He said with a weak voice.)

        All of them were surprised and rushed to Jeonghan’s bed. They did not know if they were dreaming, so they confirmed each of them if they heard Jeonghan’s voice. When they looked at him, Jeonghan was still sleeping, but after a few seconds, the sleeping beauty opened his eyes again.

Jeonghan:

Hi Hansol-ah. It’s been a while.

        The room became quiet and they couldn’t help but shed tears. Wonwoo did not let them see that he was crying, so he faced the wall and wiped his tears.

Seungkwan:

(Who was wailing at the moment.)

Hyuuuuung!

        DK immediately embraced him together with Hansol.

DK:

Thank goodness you’re back!

(His tears almost got Jeonghan’s pillow soaked with water.)

Jeonghan:

I’m back.

(He smiled while caressing DK’s back to comfort him.)

I’m sorry I let you worry about me.

Call the others too. I want to see them.

DK:

Yes, hyung.

(While wiping his tears.)

Jeonghan:

Where is mom and dad?

Wonwoo:

They’ll come back later. They just rest.

Jeonghan:

I see.

(Even he felt weak, he tried to smile as lively as possible.)

Stop crying. I feel sad.

Joshua:

I’ll call the others.

        The gentleman went out to call the others. He couldn’t explain what he felt. He was shaking but he knew that he was happy seeing Jeonghan woke up.

Joshua:

(He called Coups.)

Coups, come here. Jeonghan is awake.

Seungcheol:

(He paused because he thought that it was another bad news, but when he learned the good news…)

Okay, we’re going.

(He shouted to the boys.)

Guys, Jeonghan is awake!

Faster!

        The ambience inside their house was like someone who won a war. All shouted, all jumped in joy. They didn’t care of fashion or make-up anymore. They went straight to the hospital to greet their angel back. Seungcheol called Jeonghan’s parents, while Seungkwan was the one who contacted Mingyu. He was so happy to hear the news and immersed himself in acting so that he could go home immediately.

        In a matter of a few minutes, like a flash, they were all complete. They became complete even before Jeonghan’s parents together with his little sister arrived. Doctor Eric, on the other hand, was on his way to the hospital from his home, since he just took a good rest before going to his duty again.

        Everyone was happy. They celebrated through their loud mouths. Wonwoo, was always the one to remind them that there were other patients in the hospital, so they better make their voices soft.

        Doctor Eric, came right after they all met again. Jeonghan suddenly froze and became curious of the unknown good-looking guy, who entered his room. Although, he was mesmerized of his sudden visit, he was also stunned on how handsome that person was. The room became quiet.

Jeonghan:

Who’s he?

He looks so handsome.

(He unconsciously uttered those words because he was really amazed on how manly and handsome Doctor Eric was.)

        All of them looked sternly at Jeonghan. They looked threatened of the doctor’s presence. They thought that Mr. ‘Lee Pace’ look-a-like was Jeonghan’s ideal type- for men- and not one of them.

Doctor Eric:

(He laughed because he understood what Jeonghan said.)
Thank you.

How are you sleeping beauty?

        Mingyu was a bit annoyed because he called Jeonghan with that nickname too, he got pissed because he thought that the doctor was more appealing and cool when he said it. Though, it did not mean that he hated the doctor. It’s just that Mingyu felt that the doctor was more charismatic than him.

Jeonghan:

Omo! You understand?

(He blushed)

Sorry.

I’m fine.

I’m Jeonghan and you?

Doctor Eric:

I’m Eric. I will be your doctor, Jeonghan.

(He smiled sweetly.)

Great job, sleeping beauty!

How are you?

Jeonghan:

I’m fine.

I’m happy too.

Doctor Eric:

Everyone’s happy.

(Walked near Jeonghan and checked him up.)

        He placed his stethoscope on Jeonghan’s chest, checked his eyes and throat, and his temperature.

Doctor Eric:

Welcome back!

We’ll see each other frequent, Jeonghan. I will be your PT.

(He smiled)

        Joshua interpreted it for Jeonghan.

Jeonghan:

Oh, I see.

Nice to meet you, sir. (In English)

(He smiled tenderly.)

Doctor Eric:

Okay. All you have to do now is eat and regain your healthy body.

As soon as you’re okay, you can go out.

Jeonghan:

Can I go now?

Doctor Eric:

No problem.

Mrs. Yoon:

Jeonghan-ah, can you go with us first?

Jeonghan:

(He smiled and he knew that they missed him. Even his sister who do not usually cry, cried upon seeing him again.)

Alright, mom.

I miss you all.

        When his mom started to cry again, he comforted her and asked her to stop feeling sad because he was okay now.

Jeonghan:

(Looked at his miracle)

Thank you for visiting me Hansol-ah.

Hansol:

Hanhan! (i) miss you.

(He jumped on Jeonghan to embrace him tight.)

        His father was totally surprised of his action and apologize while getting Hansol away from Jeonghan.

Mr. Jin Woo:

Hansol-ah, that’s bad. You see that Hanhan is not feeling well, then you still jumped on him.

Hansol:

Sorry.

Jeonghan:

It’s okay. Come here.

Embrace me tight.

(Hansol went back to him and embraced him tight.)

I miss you too.

        Jeonghan was discharged that day. Although, he felt weak, he insisted to go home immediately. He was riding a wheel chair because he still couldn’t walk on his own. Doctor Eric went home with them to teach him some of the exercises he needed.

        A day after Jeonghan’s recovery, his parents went to their office to talk to their CEO and to Mr. Kim Yo Han, who sponsored his medication.

Mr. Yoon:

Good morning, sir. (To the two big personalities of Pledis.)

We are here to thank you for all the help we received.

We also apologize to cause you this trouble. Jeonghan will go here to personally apologize for everything. He was just resting at home.

Mrs. Yoon:

Sir, is there a possibility that our Jeonghan will be…

(Hesitant to ask the question.)

CEO:

What is it Mrs. Yoon?

Mrs. Yoon:

My son…

(Gathered he courage.)

My son really likes this job and he’s doing his best to be healthy.

CEO:

(He smiled gently)

We will support him whatever his decision is, Mrs. Yoon. Don’t worry.

(He’s very concerned to their angel but he also wants him to be happy and he’d support him no matter what.)

Mr. Yoon:

Thank you very much, gentlemen.

Yo Han:

Please send my regards to him.

Mrs. Yoon:

We will. Thank you so much.

        After they met the two bosses who handled Seventeen, they went to their adopted sons to bring them some food, and also to talk to them. Seungcheol was the one who greeted them at the door and when Jeonghan’s parents asked them for a talk, he was a little nervous because he thought that Jeonghan would not be around for a while.

        Again, all of them gathered in their dining room/ meeting room to listen to Jeonghan’s parents.

Mr. Yoon:

Jeonghan said that he’d like to be with you guys. I know it’s hard to take care of somebody when you’re all busy. We’re here to ask you this favour again and again.

Seungcheol:

Apeuji, don’t worry. We love him and we will take good care of him.

(He smiled)

Mr. Yoon:

We’re terribly sorry.

Mrs. Yoon:

That child is really a hard headed one.

(Sighed)

I don’t know what to do with him anymore.

Aigoo.

Joshua:

He’ll be fine, Omoni.

We’ll make you proud.

Mr. & Mrs. Yoon:

Thank you so much.

Mr. Yoon:

He’d like to go here as soon as possible. That kid! He missed you more than his parents.

(He laughed)

He loves you so much. Thank you for making him happy.

We awe you a lot.

Hoshi:

Oh! I’m sure he missed you more, Apeuji.

Mr. Yoon:

Yeah. I think so. He always tease his little sister. Poor her.

Dino:

He’s hopeless.

(Sighed)

Mrs. Yoon:

We’re sending him back to you.

(She laughed)

Help him get back his sanity.

He’s been naughty these days.

Mingyu:

He’s always been Omoni.

(Remembered everything Jeonghan did to pester him and sighed)

Mr. Yoon:

Just tell us what he did to you and I’ll take charge of him.

(He laughed)

        All of them were happy and at the same time relieved. Jeonghan was again functioning as a human and not as a doll who did nothing besides sleeping for the past few days.

        After another busy day for Seventeen, who’s practicing all day for their upcoming concert. The boys noticed that Hoshi was stricter than before. Besides from their morning performances without Jeonghan, they immediately practiced their programme for their world tour after getting home. They were all exhausted. Literally no energy left, Hoshi made them lose their souls from an intense practice. Some slept on their bed without even showering because they were so tired and lazy to wake up in the midst of floating in heaven just to take their turns to use the shower.

        As for the fans and secret admirers of Jeonghan, many asked the team of ‘what happened to him?’ or ‘was he better now?’, the only answer they gave was ‘he still needs a rest but he’s fine.’

        That night, when everybody was sound asleep, a naughty angel sneaked in. Jeonghan was back! Surprisingly at the middle of the night where no one would welcome him but the sleeping princes.

        When Jeonghan entered the house at around 8:30, he was surprised that the lights were already out; in addition, it’s already quiet. The angel wondered of what happened to his princes. He the light in the kitchen first, so he could put the food he brought inside the refrigerator before investigating of the missing boys. Usually, if they were in the house, they’d still be up until midnight, but that day it’s different. Jeonghan made sure that the boys were home when he came. He confirmed that they had no schedule that night before going back to his 2^nd home.

        Meanwhile, the wandering angel went on each of the rooms, and he was astonished to see everybody on their bed.

Jeonghan:

Aigoo~ they must be really tired. Poor boys.

(He wore a very beautiful smile; although, no one would witness it.)

        The angel walked towards them and one by one kissed them with a sweet ‘I love you’.
