세븐틴: Meteor Shower

        That night, where everybody was sleeping, Jeonghan carried and fixed his things to his cabinet, then he laid himself to his bed.

Jeonghan:

(He lie down and murmured)

I miss this… (Their dorm)

I miss them… (His boys)

(He smiled)

        After a while, the angel was tossing and turning on his bed. He’s very uncomfortable but he didn’t know why. He couldn’t seem to sleep. After an hour, he decided to disturb the other members; even though, he knew that they were all tired.

        The first person he went to was Seungcheol, who was just under his bed. He positioned himself beside the sleeping leader and called him with a sweet voice but annoying whisper.

Jeonghan:

Cheol? Cheol-ah… cheol aaaah~

(He called his names repeatedly with different tones.)

        After a few calls, Seungcheol finally reacted.

Seungcheol:

Mmm?

(With a lazy, hoarse voice.)

        The tired leader positioned himself facing the wall, so that the clingy Jeonghan would not pester him anymore.

Jeonghan:

Seungcheol-ah, aren’t you happy that I’m back?

(He was still persistent)

        Seungcheol gave him no reply but a snore. Jeonghan was a little pissed because Cheol ignored him. Then, Jeonghan decided to go to his next target, who’s Woozi. However, he was a little worried that Ji Hoon might scratch his beautiful face when he disturb him on his sleep, so he decided not to wake him up. Then, he climbed up to Mingyu and harshly leaned on the poor prince.

        Mingyu reacted; nevertheless, he continued sleeping. But Jeonghan just started to play with the poor man.

Jeonghan:

Mingyu… Mingyu yah, c’mon! Wake up.

        Tried his strategy to Mingyu. When it failed, he took another strategy which was to blow his ears to irritate him. Well, Jeonghan was quite successful in that because it was visible on Mingyu’s annoyed face. He thought that he’d finally wake up but he just scratched the back of his head.

Jeonghan:

(Desperate to wake him up.)

Mingyu yah, c’mon, let’s go somewhere. I’ll treat you.

Mingyu:

(With an irritated face. Amongst all, he and Wonwoo had a tiring day because they had no sleep from their shooting last night.)

Ah, hyuuuung!

(He groaned)

        He shifted his head to the other side and continued sleeping with his frowning brows. Jeonghan pouted his lips as he failed once again.

        He went to the other room to look for another target. In a matter of seconds, he found a new prey. It’s his baby ‘Di Caprio! He immediately jumped on his bed and yet MommyHan found no reaction at all. He’s like the frozen Jack after jumping off Titanic.

Jeonghan:

My Baby ‘Di Caprio, MamaHan is here. Wake up. Let’s eat.

(He whispered gently)

        Despite his gentle call, he was pushed harshly on his beautiful face. Jeonghan was not happy about it, so he transferred again. He saw Hoshi who was comfortable with his messy pose in his sleep. He crawled over him and landed his light body to his star that was already floating in his dreams. His mouth was opened and his hands were stretched carelessly on his bed, while his legs were hanging at the corner of the bed.

Jeonghan:

Hoshi-yah.

(He kind of smelled Hoshi’s scent and it was the odor of his sweat. Hoshi was one of those boys who was not able to take a shower because they fell asleep before their turn.)

Ya, imma!

(He slapped on Hoshi’s chest gently.)

Take a shower before going to bed!

        Hoshi opened his eyes for a while because he was startled of Jeonghan’s slap. Poor star, being disturbed in his peaceful rest.

Hoshi:

(Half asleep with his one eye open to peak at the person who’s pestering him in his sweet rest.)

Hyung…

(With a husky, lazy voice.)

Jeonghan:

Hoshi-yah… can you accompany me, please.

Hoshi:

Hyung, I’m tired.

(Get back to sleep.)

Jeonghan:

(Shook Hoshi’s body lightly while putting his chin on Hoshi’s chest.)

Soon Young ah, please.

(He pleaded)

Hoshi:

Can I just accompany you tomorrow?

(Couldn’t help but to answer the poor angel who was not being visited yet with sleepiness. Probably because, he slept too long while he was on his vacation.)

Jeonghan:

I can’t sleep.

        He crawled until he reached Hoshi’s face and showered him with kisses. Hoshi sighed and became hopeless to get a peaceful moment that night. Hoshi was chosen by the angel to accompany him for the night, so he continued waking him up.

Jeonghan:

Get up now. You take your shower first so you’ll stay awake.

        He continued kissing him all over his face, well except for the lips, then the poor star avoided Jeonghan’s kisses by turning his head to the right. Accidentally, Jeonghan placed his lips to Hoshi’s neck and it surprised Hoshi because he felt tickled. Immediately, the sleeping 10:10 o’clock eyed-human hamster openned his eyes widely.

        Jeonghan’s Mission: Success!

Hoshi:

Ah, hyung!

(He complained)

Jeonghan:

(Used his powerful aegyo)

Did you not miss me?

Hoshi:

Of course I miss you, but…

Jeonghan:

I can’t sleep Soon Young ah.

Hoshi:

(Sighed)

Oh… alright.

Jeonghan:

Take your shower first.

Hoshi:

(He couldn’t do anything with Jeonghan’s spell. His body just grant Jeonghan’s wish no matter how he fought for his rights.)

What do you want to do?

        Hoshi lazily sat beside Jeonghan while gathering his strength to stand up. The angel was bored, so he pulled Hoshi gently and dragged him to the bathroom.

Jeonghan:

Make it fast, Soon Young-ah.

Hoshi:

What do you plan to do, hyung?

Jeonghan:

I want to go out. I’m bored.

Hoshi:

This late?

Jeonghan:

C’mon, Hoshi, you and the others usually do this.

Hoshi:

Yeah, but I’m tired.

        The two were talking with a wall in between them. Jeonghan was waiting for Soon Young to finish taking his shower.

Jeonghan:

I’ll make you happy.

Hoshi:

Make sure of that hyung.

Jeonghan:

(He giggled)

I will, so make it fast.

        After a few minutes, Hoshi was fresh again! The cold water made him fully awake. A 100% recharged Hoshi was already in front of Jeonghan.

Jeonghan:

Let’s have a date because I miss you.

(He embraced Hoshi tightly)

Mmmmm… smells fresh!

Hoshi:

Should I pick a nice pair of clothes?

Jeonghan:

Anything will do. Your handsome face is enough.

Hoshi:

Aigoo, hyung. You’re playing with my poor heart again.

(Though he was pleased.)

I’ll change first.

Jeonghan:

I’ll go with you.

Hoshi:

Just wait here.

Jeonghan:

No. I will monitor you. You might go back to bed, my star.

Hoshi:

Don’t worry, I’m already awake.

Just wait at the living room.

        Hoshi rushed to their room and opened the lights without minding that the boys would wake up by it. He quickly scanned his clothes as he was excited on their date, which was initiated by Jeonghan. In a short while, Hoshi went out with a chill mood. It’s like he didn’t rush or anything, but he really thought of what he’d wear that night. He rampaged his cabinet before choosing the perfect outfit for the night.

        Jeonghan’s star dressed cutely yet romantic. He wore a navy t-shirt with a denim jacket on and matched it with his dark washed denim and a white sneakers. Jeonghan couldn’t help but to notice how handsome his star looked that night. He even brushed his hair neatly to look more mature and manly.

Jeonghan:

All set!

Woah! Soon Young ah, you’re so handsome!

(With his eyes and mouth wide open.)

Hoshi:

(Pretended he did not made an effort on choosing his clothes; though, his cabinet were in a mess because he almost wore everything before he could choose.)

Really?

Thank you.

(He displayed his chubby cheeks with his wide smile.)

Jeonghan:

Let’s go?

Hoshi:

Yup!

        Hoshi reached Jeonghan’s hand and went out without anyone knowing.

Hoshi:

Where would you like to go?

(He looked at Jeonghan dearly. That was when he realized that he missed him so much, so he held Jeonghan tightly and seize every opportunity to be with him.)

Jeonghan:

I want a yogurt ice cream.

(He smiled)

Hoshi:

At night?!

(He was surprised by his choice.)

Jeonghan:

Yes, Soon Young ah.

Hoshi:

Have you eaten your dinner?

Jeonghan:

A little. Why?

Hoshi:

I think I’m starving again.

Jeonghan:

Can we buy ice cream first? Because the store will close at 10.

We need to hurry.

Hoshi:

Okay.

        Luckily, they were able to get an ice cream before the store totally closed. Jeonghan was so happy with that yogurt ice cream, which Hoshi paid, since he insisted to. They ate it at the available seat outside the shop. They got not just two but four different flavors of yogurt ice creams. One plain, one mango, the other one was green tea and the last one was pomegranate. Jeonghan was so excited to taste every single one of them, while Soon Young was just enjoying how Jeonghan would react to those simple things. Indeed, Jeonghan was the aegyo king! After the angel tasted it one by one, he noticed that Hoshi did not move a muscle since they sat.

Jeonghan:

Hoshi-yah, you don’t want?

(He scooped a generous amount of the delicious ice cream)

Ah~

Hoshi did not let Jeonghan wait, and he immediately opened his mouth to receive Jeonghan’s love.

Jeonghan:

Very good, Hoshi-yah!

Here, try this one!

        He also offered Hoshi every flavors. As a result, Soon Young was not required to move his hands anymore, he only had to open his mouth because Jeonghan was in charge of delivering the food into Hoshi’s mouth. As usual, Jeonghan was eating less than Hoshi and the star never failed to notice it.

Hoshi:

Hyung, don’t you like it anymore?

Jeonghan:

Why do you ask?

Hoshi:

You’re giving everything to me.

Jeonghan:

Am I?

Hoshi:

Yes.

Here, let me feed you.

        Finally, he got to scoop an ice cream and fed it to Jeonghan. He even pulled Jeonghan’s chair close to him. On the other hand, the angel was enjoying on how Soon Young would take care of him.

Jeonghan:

Soon Young-ah, thank you for accompanying me; even though, you’re tired.

Sorry.

Hoshi:

It’s okay. No need to worry.

Jeonghan:

I can’t sleep and I don’t know why.

Maybe I got so many sleep?

(He sighed)

I’m really sorry.

Hoshi:

We can sleep the whole day tomorrow anyway.

Nothing to worry about.

Jeonghan:

Thank you.

Hoshi:

You’re welcome.

After their chill time, they went inside a market to eat some street food. Jeonghan did not let his pay for what they would eat because it’s his fault that he was not sleeping at the moment when he badly needed it.

        While choosing their food, Hoshi couldn’t help but to stare at Jeonghan with his beautiful face being illuminated by a simple yellow light bulb beside the stall. The young man was unconsciously smiling. The old vendor couldn’t help but to notice how sweet his smile was to Jeonghan. Since he was old, provided that, he was not wearing his eye glasses that time, he wore a smile too, while looking at the young man who was trapped on his date’s beauty. In his eyes, the old man saw himself at Hoshi. He remembered his childhood upon looking at the lively smiling half breed human-hamster, particularly his first date with his best friend. And she was a beautiful and a jolly lady.

Ahjussi:

Your smile is so bright young man.

Hoshi:

I’m just happy, ahjussi.

Jeongan:

(Interrupted the two.)

You want this? (Tteokbokki)

Hoshi:

I’ll eat anything you give me.

(He smiled)

        Jeonghan was pleased while selecting a variety of food they could eat. They sat while waiting for the food to be delivered. Jeonghan happened to notice that Hoshi was staring at him since they came out of the house.

Jeonghan:

Soon Young-ah, do you miss me that much?

Hoshi:

(He answered without hesitation.)

So much, hyung.

(With a soft and sad voice.)

Jeonghan:

(He was a bit guilty of his sadness)

Ya… this should be a fun date.

Hoshi:

I’m having fun, am I not?

(With a confused eyes)

Jeonghan:

(Smiled)

Really?

        The food was delivered with them when they realized that the old man added another dish in their order. Jeonghan remembered that he ordered Tteokbokki with less spicy, shikhye, kimbap, and Eomuk Tang but not Mandu. He did not know that he also sells Mandu in his shop.

Jeonghan:

Ahjussi, I think you are mistaken. I didn’t order mandu.

(He smiled gently)

Ahjussi:

(He smiled)

It’s for the both of you.

You own a pretty smile, my child.

And it’s for the happy man in front of you.

Hoshi:

(He was surprised and pointed his finger at him.)

Me?

I didn’t.

Jeonghan:

(He was confused too.)

And I didn’t know that you sell those too because it’s not on your menu.

Ahjussi:

It’s for free for the both of you.

Jeonghan:

Really?

(He was surprised and at the same time delighted.)

Thank you, ahjussi. You’re so kind.

Hoshi:

Thank you, ahjussi!

(With a bright smile)

Ahjussi:

Enjoy the night.

Take care of each other. Okay?

Jeonghan:

We will, ahjussi.

Thank you so much.

We’ll enjoy this.

(Excited eating their midnight snack.)

Ahjussi:

(He advised Hoshi)

Young man, just let your heart out and do what you have to do.

(He smiled)

Hoshi:

(He giggled)

Thank you, ahjussi.

        The old man winked in return.

        They didn’t know that he asked his son to buy that mandu from the lady on the other stall. For him, that lady makes the best mandu ever! Because that lady was his first date but he failed to say his true feelings to her. And she was married to another man right before he had the courage to confess. That regret was left him wounded for a long time; nevertheless, he’s happy with everything he had in his life.

        The boys ate at the table happily. Jeonghan enjoyed Hoshi’s company. It was a great night for the both of them.

        After the midnight snack, Hoshi invited Jeonghan to the Banpo Bridge near Han River. The angel just go with Hoshi and walked until they reached the river. They witnessed a breath taking view by the rainbow fountain with the bright moon up above.

Jeonghan:

It’s pretty.

Hoshi, this is our second date and it’s funny that we always end up doing it at night.

Hoshi:

(Looked at Jeonghan)

Because it’s my kingdom.

It’s the prettiest when it’s night because my stars are there to light up the night.

Jeonghan:

Ah, I see.

(Ride with Hoshi’s explanation.)

Hoshi-ya. I just wonder, if ever you have a date, will you bring her here?

Hoshi:

Mmmmm? I already bring that person here.

Jeonghan:

Really?

Hoshi:

Yes! And it’s only reserved for you.

(He giggled)

Jeonghan:

You silly!

(Looked at Hoshi and slapped his shoulders.)

Do you like romantic dates?

Hoshi:

(Innocently answered)

Like this?

Jeonghan:

(He was surprised)

Is this romantic for you?

Hoshi:

Our date?

Yes!

Jeonghan:

Really? Do you like it?

(He smiled because Hoshi was so adorable that night.)

Hoshi:

Yes. Very much!

Jeonghan:

I’m glad.

Did I make you happy?

Hoshi:

Very happy!

(Flashing his brightest smile)

        Somehow, Soon Young changed into a mature man from a jolly and enthusiastic boy. Jeonghan felt that he was different that night and he was manly. The boys were busy viewing the night sky with the cityscape when a cold breeze touched their skin. Jeonghan shivered as he only wore a cream thin sweater. Of course, Hoshi’s keen eyes did not miss it. He immediately took off his denim jacket and put in on Jeonghan’s shoulder. The angel was surprised.

Jeonghan:

No, you should wear it, Hoshi. You might catch cold.

Hoshi:

I’m just fine, hyung. I still have lots of fats to keep me warm compared to you.

(He laughed)

Jeonghan:

Thank you.

Hoshi-yah…

Hoshi:

Mmm?

Jeonghan:

Don’t cry for me anymore.

Hoshi:

(He was shocked)

Since when did I cry?

Jeonghan:

I heard you crying one time. I’m sure it was you.

Hoshi:

When you woke up?

Jeonghan:

No. when I was still sleeping.

Hoshi:

(He was surprised)

So, you can hear everything we say?!

(He became nervous that he might heard something from that night.)

Jeonghan:

Nope; though, I can hear some.

        Jeonghan slid his hands to Soon Young and intertwined his fingers with the other man’s little yet manly hand. He leaned on his shoulder while rubbing his thumb to the hamster’s soft skin.

Hoshi:

Are you sure it was me?

Jeonghan:

I will never fail to identify your voice, my hamster.

Hoshi:

Really?

(He was pleased)

Does it made you sad?

Jeonghan:

Yes.

(With a soft voice)

It made me want to wake up as soon as possible to wipe off your tears, you know.

Hoshi:

I’m sorry if I made you such in a hurry.

(He giggled though he looked sad.)

Jeonghan:

Soon Young ah, saranghae~

Hoshi:

Saranghae~

Jeonghan:

So, do you want something more on a date like this?

Hoshi:

A kiss.

Jeonghan:

Alright.

Stay right where you are. I’ll grant your wish because I want to heal your heart from the damage that I made.

        Jeonghan was getting closer to his hamster’s fluffy cheeks, but the naughty hamster intended to catch the kiss with his pouty lips. So one moment, their lips met and had a very soft yet long touch. The time suddenly stopped. Jeonghan was totally surprised. 3 seconds felt like forever on Hoshi’s eyes. Fortunately, only a few people were there because it’s past midnight and because it’s a weekday. After their unintentional/ intentional kiss, Jeonghan immediately recovered.

Jeonghan:

Ya!

        Soon Young couldn’t help but to press his lips once again to Jeonghan’s quickly.

Jeonghan:

Ya! One more time and-

        Hoshi grabbed Jeonghan’s waist and pulled his weak and slim body near him until it touched. Then, Jeonghan again, received a quick kiss in the lips before he ended his sentence, and that made him totally speechless.

Jeonghan:

What’s that for?!

Hoshi:

Damage healed!

(He smiled thought his face was serious.)

        For a while, the angel was stuck on his place.

Hoshi:

Hyung? You alright?

(Back to being a hamster like nothing happened)

Jeonghan:

How can I be alright when you… you…

(Embarrassed to say the word and became flushed.)

Hoshi:

(Giggled)

Why are you so cute, hyung?

C’mon! It’s time to go home. I’m sleepy.

        He dragged the frozen doll from the bridge on their way home. Jeonghan was still quiet and Hoshi couldn’t hold it anymore.

Hoshi:

Hyung, are you angry at me because of the kiss?

Jeonghan:

(A little pissed)

You mean the kisses?!

Hoshi:

(Laughed)

O yeah.

Jeonghan:

I’m not angry; though, I’m pissed? Surprised? I don’t know.

Did you plan to practice on me, Hoshi?! I’m not a doll, you know.

Hoshi:

It’s real.

I don’t practice that! Do you?

It’s exclusive.

(.)

Jeonghan:

(He was more surprised and he did not know what to say anymore.)

S-stop talking nonsense, Hoshi.

Hoshi:

(He chuckled but wore a serious face.)

Do I look like a fool to you, hyung?

Who always play?

Jeonghan:

(He was totally speechless at the moment because he knew Hoshi’s tone when he’s serious.)

N-no… who told you that?

Hoshi:

Then when will you know that I am serious?

(He went straight to the point; though, his heart wanted to escape his body.)

        Jeonghan, for the first time, looked like a fool in front of Hoshi. He who was speechless and confused. On the other hand, the serious Hoshi was the one to open the door when they reached their home.

Hoshi:

Let’s go in. I want to sleep.

(With his serious voice.)

Jeonghan:

Hoshi? I’m sorry.

I-

Hoshi:

(He smiled faintly)

No need to explain. I’m not angry or what.

Jeonghan:

Thank you for going out with me.

Hoshi:

I’m sorry if I offend you. (With the kiss)

        Well, Jeonghan was confused of what to say.

Jeonghan:

No not at all, I mean…

(He sighed)

Hoshi:

You’re so cute tonight, hyung.

Jeonghan:

Did you do that to tease me?

(Find another excuse)

Hoshi:

(Replied quickly)

No.

(He took out his and Jeonghan’s shoes and dragged the angel in.)

We need to sleep now.

Jeonghan:

Hoshi, tell me… what was that for?

(He blushed)

Hoshi:

1 kiss is for ‘I’, second kiss is for ‘Love’, and the third kiss is for ‘You’

(He smiled cutely)

Jeonghan:

That was cheesy.

Hoshi:

Will you reject me?

        Jeonghan was flustered.

Jeonghan:

You know I always love you.

Hoshi:

Do you hate me for what I did?

I apologize. I was reckless.

(He wore a sad eyes)

Jeonghan:

I’m fine but… and… I won’t reject you. Never!

Hoshi:

(Sighed)

I’m really sorry.

Jeonghan:

Ya… stop being like that.

(Although he was nervous, he couldn’t let their issue to last until tomorrow.)

Here, give me a hug.

Hoshi:

I’m fine. Don’t worry.

Jeonghan:

I’m not! Let’s fix this. I can’t sleep.

Give me a hug.

(He demanded)

        Hoshi smiled and gave Jeonghan a big and tight hug.

Hoshi:

Hyung… I miss you.

Jeonghan:

I miss you too.

        After the embrace, Jeonghan started scolding Hoshi.

Jeonghan:

You boys don’t have any restrictions now a days!

Hoshi:

(His eyes enlarged)

What do you mean?

You mean somebody in the members already touched your lips before me?

        Jeonghan was totally embarrassed from his own mistake.

Jeonghan:

Let’s sleep Hoshi. I’m sleepy.

(Chose not to dig more hole of the issue)

        He dragged Hoshi in the living room and slept there together. Jeonghan did not ever open his mouth that night and pretended that he was already asleep when Soon Young tried to interrogate him.

        Soon after, Jeonghan heard Hoshi’s loud breathes and snores, indicating that he already had fallen asleep. He peaked to see if Soon Young was already sleeping and when he confirmed it, Jeonghan came close to Hoshi and looked at his handsome face.

Jeonghan:

Aigoo, Soon Young ah, you surprise me.

-Flashback-

Hoshi came into Jeonghan’s room (at the hospital) to change with Jeonghan’s parents. Hoshi came earlier than the others. He was alone, sitting quietly beside the sleeping beauty. Hoshi started to whine.

Hoshi:

Hyung, hyung~

(He’s calling him desperately.)

Wake up!

(He paused for a moment.)

Why do you always do this to me?

You keep on ignoring me.

(He couldn’t stop his tears from pouring down.)

You know that I need you and yet you keep on looking to someone.

I haven’t showed you how much I care and love you.

You seldom give me a chance.

I’m jealous. I’m really jealous!

I feel less important.

(He continued to complain)

Why can’t you give me the chance?

Why can’t you listen to what I say?

(He stopped for a few minutes and held Jeonghan’s hand to kiss it.)

I love you.

Please wake up.

-End of Flashback-

Jeonghan:

I’m sorry for being unfair. I didn’t mean to.

(He caressed his fluffy cheeks gently)

I’m sorry that I have hurt you.

(He smiled)

It’s not that I don’t give you the chance, it’s just that…

(He sighed)

I’m sorry, I’m busy taking care of the young ones.

What chance are you talking about?

(He giggled)

I guess I should open my eyes because I realized that every minute is important now and I think I gave you that pressure too.

From now on, I’ll take care of you because your love is worth it, my star.

Hoshi-ya, Saranghae~

You always make me happy. Thank you.

(He frowned his brows before going to bed.)

I guess I saw… ah- no, probably, I feel the meteor shower this night. Tsk! You naughty man!

Your wish is my command.

Good night!

Jeonghan kissed his forehead then, positioned his head on Soon Young’s chest and listen to his calm heart beat and let it served as his lullaby. Finally, he had successfully fallen asleep.
