Pie took careful steps as she moved toward the staircase which lead to her room making sure she makes no noise which may end up disturbing her mom who was fast asleep in her bedroom located on the ground floor

"Pie Honey.. happy birthday..." said a firm female voice which came from the centre of the living room,

"Mom. !!! thank you so much 

But why are you awake at this hour of the night, you need rest.." said pie in a concerend soft tone with a little smile on her face as she froze at the edge of the staircase and turned in the direction of the voice

"I just went to your room to wish you ... but you were not there..." asked pie's mom with an affirmation as she moved towards pie with slow yet firm steps with her hands folded across her chest

"aaa.. mom.. actually.."

"what's going on pie??? i saw everything ... I am sure this isnt just a friendship...???" asked pie's mother as she stood next to her and gave her an intese gaze looking for an answer 

"Mom.. I... " said pie in a nervous tone as she bit her lower lip in anxiety

"Pie.. sweetheart ...you are getting it all wrong.."

"Just because you and Mike couldnt end up well doesnt mean that there are no good men for you out there..!!!"

"If you approve..I can get the queue of best bachelors in the whole thailand for you.."

"you dont have to despair yourself so much that you end up with a... with .. a ... girl.. "said pie's mother in a considerate tone as she softly hugged pie and patted her 

"No Mom...its not like that ..."

"I love Kim.. I love her because she is the one for me..." said pie as she slowly released herself from her mother's embrace and walked toward the center of the living room

"But Sweety.. .. I guess you are confused..this is really not what you want"

"No mom... I am not confused ..."

"I know what I want.."said Pie in an affirmative tone as she gently kept the boquet and jute bag which kim had gifted her on the centre table

"PIe.. sweetheart..." said Pie's mom in disaggreement as she quickly moved close to pie

"Mom... .." said pie in altercatiion ..

An absurd silence got spread across the living room as pie softly kept walking toward the huge window of the living room and softly sat on the wide window sill

"when Mike dumped me.. !!! I was finished.. I thought so low about myself.. I was in complete despair.."

"It was Kim.. who held my hand ... she brought me back to hope from despondence.. "

"She was the one who accepted me for what I am.. she loved me when i was in the worst phase of my life... she tought me the real worth of myself..."

"When poeple always treated me with sympathy she was the one always treated me with dignity.." pie kept talking as tear kept rolling down her soft pink cheeks and she kept stairing blankly in the dark otuside the window

"And in this whole transformation of my life I dont know when i kept getting driffted to her and fell in love with her..."

"Thats wht my point is Honey..... She just gave you a hand when you were at your low.."

"You are getting confused about this affection ..." Said Pie's mom as she walked towards pie making herself loud and clear

"Love isnt .. just about ..."

"Mom.. I knew you would come to this..."

"Mom even even I too had this dilemma.. but when I ran away from Kim ..I realised that its only her presence which brings the life to this body.. else I am nothing but living corpse ..."

"Even you wintnessed my demolishment Mom..."

"Did you forget Mom... how was I three months ago..."

A sudden flashback ran in front of latter's eyes as how she used to run from one church to another ..she tried all the ways to bring back her lifeless daughter back but all failed ..how she used to cry every night in her bedroom asking the same question to god .."what happened to my child God???"

"It was only Kim's return that brought me back to life...Now you tell me Mom..If this isnt LOVE then what is it???"

Pie's Mom was silent as she had no answer to Pie's question as she stood speechless frozen in her place ,softly looking at her daughter

"Hi... this is Kimhan.. Please Leave a message..." answered a soft yet affrimative automated voice 

looks like handsome is busy in her meeting... Pie thought to herself as she rested her small chin on her pillow which she had grabbed between her arms as she laid on the bed on her tummy holding her cellphone between her soft palms 

Knock..knock..

"Pie...Sweetheart... I got your dress for tonight's party... ."

"I have got matching shoes for my birthday girl too" said Pie's mom in a thrilled voice through the door

Pie carefully got up from the bed and moved toward the door

"Mom you dont have to do this all.." said Pie as she held the door open for her mother to enter

"Why not.. One doesnt turn 25 every year.... besides its just a small get together for our near and dear ones" said Pie's mother as she gently kept the dress and shoes bag on pie's study table

"Mom.. No one can win with you..." said pie with a cute smile as she softly rested her head on her mother's shoudler holding latter's arms gently

"And Mom where is My dress ???" asked cherry in an excited voice as she suddenly appeared in the room from nowehere

"Yes.. yes.. I have got your dress too..its on the counch in the living room.." 

"yippee... love you mom.. " said cherry as she placed a quick peck on latter's cheeks and ran out of the door

"She is still a baby.." said pie as she shared a laugh with her mother

Pie was getting restless as her one and only special guest was only missing from the party..

"Pie Sweetheart ...Wish you many happy returs of the Day..."

"Look at you.. you look so... pretty.." Said a warm female voice as she extended her hug towards Pie

"Thank you Aunty..." Said Pie with a smile.. 

"Wow look at the arrangement.. I love the lights Sheryl and the flower decorations.. they are just splendid...you know how to win over your guests attention.."

"Mike Honey.. come quickly give the bouquet to Pie.." Said Por as she waved towards Mike who was still standing at the main door looking at beautiful pie without blinking his eyes...

"Happy Birthday Pie.." Said Mike to Pie as he leaned close to Pie's Right cheek to place a kiss but pie pulled herself a lil back stopping him with grace 

"Aunty.. where is Uncle???" asked pie trying to change the mood..although Mike was a litlle embarresed but he didnt mind as he was dumbstruck with this beautiflul doll like figure who was drapped in a purple satin knee length skater dress which had lace friles on its hemline paired with shimmery silver and dark drey belleria with a big bow on its toes , her hair we tied tight in a high bun reveling her white skin clean from her cheeks down till her neck

"Ohh.. he must be here soon sweetheart... you know how he is .. when he reached here then he recalled that he forgot your gift at home.. "

"ohh Aunty... its fine..why he had to take so much pain.." said pie in a worried tone

"No sweetheart.. why not its your birthday.. and I had got this special gift for your day dear.. So its his punishment .. ha ha ha"

"Por  you are too much.. Come have some wine.. I prepared these special fishcakes for you.." Said Pie's Mom as she took Por with her giving some privacy to mike and Pie

"You are looking really pretty tonight .." Said Mike in a low voice to Pie as he took a small sip of the whisky from his glass 

Pie was quiet and still retless as she opened the glass on her wristwatch and checked the time ..it was 8:02 pm as still her guest wasnt here

then only she heard the voice she has been eagerly waiting for

"Pie..." said a handsome figure who was looking very refreshing wearing a bottle green colored silk shirt paired with dark blue ankle length skinny jeans. This she layered with a grey bleausre coat with dark grey mocassins and her hair set in a messy style with spikes giving her a perfect semi formal party look

All the young female eyes followed this charming figure as she moved closer to the birthday girl with a boquete of lilies in her hands 

"Kim.." said Pie in an excited tone as she spread her arms in moving them randomly looking for her latter

"Wish you many happy returns of the My princess..." said Kim as she held pie's right and with her left one, leaned close to Pie's right cheek and kissed it gentl
