It was 12:30  pm and Kim was getting restless in her cabin

"It's been two days Pie didn't show up "
" I last met her at her cafe on saturday.. after that she didn't meet me"

" Have I offended her by some of my idiocy ? But what did I do wrong?" thought kim to herself sitting on her chair and biting her nails in anxiety.

" What shall I do? I can't even call her ..."

" May be she would have dropped by but I wasn't here so she would have left"Kim quickly locked her laptop and moved out of her cabin

She looked for Jazz who was chatting with her neighbor
" Jazz.." called Kim leaning on her cubical

Jazz got alert on hearing Kim's voice
" Yes Kim" she looked up

" Did Ms Mindara drop by while I wasn't in office?" Kim tried her  best to hide the nervousness

" No Kim..Ms Mindara hasn't showed up since last friday"

" Did she call up asking for me?"

" No Kim .. no calls even"

" P'Van might have some idea about her, as they had become good  friends lately.." said Jazz in a confident tone

Kim got more agitated when Jazz mentioned about Van and Pie's friendship.

" Thanks for the additional information Jazz" Kim replied jazz rudely and walked towards Van's desk.

She found Van sitting with a female employee sharing some talks and giggling.

Seriously Pie is befriend with this guy? Kim spoke to herself in surprise while grinding her teeth.

" Hi Van" said Kim standing near his desk

The female employee got conscious and left Van's desk immediately on finding Kim standing near to them.
While Van got somewhat sad as if someone had snached a toy with which he was playing.

" Hi Kim, How come you are here?"

" Actually I was just passing by so thought will check out about the progress on Ms Pie's project" said Kim tried sounding  casual

"Ohh.. Pie's work got completed long back and she was suppose to collect the final designs from me but she didn't turn up." 

" Ohh.. Really.. I think she might have got busy somewhere, will check with her" Kim said and left Van's desk

She hasn't even met him?

She can't be just so careless, this is very unlikely to her normal behavior, there is definitely something wrong, I need to find it out.. thought kim and moved towards her cabin with quick steps.

She quickly collected her car keys and left

" Jazz please cancle all my meetings for today" said Kim while leaving from her cabin.

Within no time she reached the Pie's cafe.

She got out of the car and entered the outer gate of the cafe while locking her parked car with the remote.

Kim reached towards counter and found cherry there, who was busy with her computer , checking something on it.

Kim took a deep breath trying to control her distress  and behave normal.

"Hi cherry " said Kim moving closer to counter.

" Hey Kim, what a surprise?" cherry was really surprised to see Kim in the middle of the day that too on a weekday.

" Ahhh.. yeah actually... I was on my way to meet one of my freinds so thought would carry some of your delicious pastries for her"..

Pastries for a freind ?  Seriously Kim how come you can come up with such lame excuse.. Kim thought to herself while rubbing her napeline

" O..h..kay.. so which one's shall I pack for you" said cherry with a doubtful expressions trying her best to believe Kim

" All of your best one's" said Kim gesturing towards the pastries kept in the glass shelves

Cherry started picking different pastries, keeping them one by in a box

" You are handling the cafe alone.. where is Pie?" Kim sounded very casual

Cherry was still busy in packing the pastries
" Ohh she has gone to hospital"

"Hospital, why?  what happened ?" Kim frowned in shock

" Ohh actually last saturday she tripped from the stairs at home and sprained her ankle , so she has gone there for the scheduled check up "

Ohh my god.. all this happened and you were completely unaware of it Kim ..Kim thought in her mind

" Here you go.. your pastries are ready"

" Ohh thanks ..how much will be that?" Said Kim while trying to reach out her wallet from her denim's rare pocket.

" Nothing " said cherry with a smile

"Nothing ?"

" It's Pie's strict instruction, not to charge you for anything" said cherry tightening her lips. 

Ohh Pie why are you so sweet, every day you give me reason to fall for you more. Kim thought to herself

"By the way.. in which hospital her treatment is going on ?"

" The Bangkok Christian Hospital"

Kim immediately turned towards the gate to leave

" Kim your pastries " shouted cherry from behind

"Ohh yeah .. Thanks " Kim quickly collected the box and left

So much happened and she didn't even inform me..
She must be in so much pain all this while and I was completely unaware of it.

She needs me right now.. Kim thought to herself while rushing her car towards the hospital.

She quickly parked the car and immediately walked towards the reception.

She checked the board at the enterance which indicated Orthopedic department to be on 3rd Floor.
