Rosé couldn’t have described what it was that summoned her to make the call to Taehyung, but it was so strong that she couldn’t have denied it even if she wanted to. Rosé kicked Lisa out of the house for the day saying she needed some personal time, to which Lisa only smirked devilishly and laughed as she practically marched out of the loft. “I hope personal means a guy!” she had yelled as Rosé shut the door as quickly as possible. 

Taehyung seemed quite surprised when he heard Rosé’s voice over the phone, but nevertheless accepted her offer to meet at the loft. Rosé smiled widely and thanked him as she hung up and let herself fall to the couch, many of her tensions floating from her body with the action. 

It took about an hour for Taehyung to come knocking on the front door, bearing the gift of ice cream and Rosé’s favorite sweet wine. Rosé couldn’t help but giggle and laugh as he came marching into the house just as cheerful as Rosé had remembered him. “God, how long’s it been Rosie?” Taehyung asked as he sat down on the floor in front of the couch while he waited for Rosé to bring spoons and glasses. 

“Absolutely too long Tae.” Rosé replied as she sat next to Taehyung on the floor. 

“You get any new leads?” he asked. 

Rosé shrugged, eating a spoonful of the ice cream to keep from having to giving a verbal answer. Taehyung nodded and gave her the most kind and genuine look he could. “If anyone can find him it’s you. You two will always find your way back to each other.” 

Rosé nodded and let out the breath she didn’t realize she was holding. Taehyung, taking note of the dreariness in the air decided to very quickly change the subject, his voice changing from seriousness to an almost coy type of glee. “So I met this guy…” he began. 

Rosé gave him a questioning smirk as she bumped her shoulder into his. “Tell me more...” she replied, her voice clearly happy to talk about something other than Jimin and the lack of clues leading to him. 

“Well I thought he was kind of cute and maybe we’d go somewhere, but after we fooled around a bit I came to the conclusion he was kind of an .” 

“Aw, don’t worry one day you’ll catch a nice one and you’ll be able to keep him as soon as you get him to -” 

Taehyung pressed his hands against Rosé’s mouth to keep her from saying anything else. Rosé laughed at the cute shyness he displayed shaking her head as she knew it was all an act. Had this been some other time, Taehyung would’ve had no problem divulging all the gory details of his conquests if only to make Jimin blush. 

“Who knows if I’ll ever meet a nice one, you know the nice ones always that one major default.” 

“Too small?” 

Taehyung outright laughed as he sipped on his wine, nearly choking on the liquid. “No, I can work with size no matter what…” Taehyung gave Rosé a devilish look that came with far too many implications for Rosé to handle. “No, they bottom.” he finished in the most serious tone he could manage even with that giant smile of his. 

Rosé laughed loudly and Taehyung followed suit, pleased to see her smile. “It’s the truth!” he claimed. “I like variety and all that work,” he huffed, “not my thing.” 

“You’re a princess.” 

“And you can bet your I’m the fairest one in the land.” he let out a tired and pleased sigh and took another drink. “So what about you? Last time we talked like this you were going conquest after conquest.” Taehyung wiggled his eyebrows in suggestion and Rosé rolled her eyes in response. 

“It’s been like what, three years since my last almost serious thing?” 

“And what about not serious?” Taehyung practically snapped. “I want details Ro-Ro, gory, gory, fleshy details.” 

Rosé, once again rolled her eyes in amusement as Taehyung looked at her in question. “There’s been a couple of moments here and there, but nothing more.” 

“Bag and tag as they always say.” Taehyung replied taking a long gulp to finish what was left in his cup, promptly moving to pour himself another glass. 

“Who always says that?” 

“They do.” Taehyung said as if those words would suddenly make sense. 

Rosé giggled and took another spoonful of the ice cream. “You know, the world will keep on moving if you ever decide to try and find love.” Taehyung suddenly said. 

“Yeah and it’ll keeping moving if you ever decide tell Baek about your “bag and tag” habits.” Rosé quipped. 

Taehyung stuck his tongue out at her in response to her words, taking yet another long sip. “I don’t know if I can tell him.” 

“And I don’t know if I can ever fall for anyone. There’s so much that goes into being around another person and doing more than just screwing around.” 

“There’s also a lot that goes into a burrito, but that doesn’t make the burrito any less awesome. Find yourself a nice, high quality burrito and savor that .” 

Rosé scoffed at his sentence and how serious he seemed to be. She looked at him curiously, his eyes drifting off towards something Rosé couldn’t see. She was gentle when she spoke next. “You could use your own advice Tae… With the whole thing with Baekhyun.” 

“I’ll use my own advice as soon as someone else does too. Someone’s gotta prove it works.” 

Rosé gave him a quick glare, but he ignored it in favor of his alcohol. Rosé continued to stare at the side of his skull, trying to make Taehyung feel the heat behind the action until he looked back at her. “Stop looking at me like that, you look weird.” he said, no real venom behind his words. “I’ll tell him if I ever get serious with anyone, how’s that sound?” 

“Like you’re a little chicken .” 

Taehyung looked at Rosé with mock-offense and Rosé couldn’t help but smile at him. “But, I guess it’s reasonable.” she finished. 

“Does this mean you’ll try to leave your heartbreaker ways behind?” 

“I said nothing of the sort, but maybe. Once I find Jimin I might give love if a chance if it comes around.” Rosé finished off her glass and waved her arm to exaggerate her next point. “But I am not, under any circumstance going out and looking for it! You got that?” she held her glass out at Taehyung like it was some kind of threatening weapon until he smiled and nodded. 

The two talked for a little while longer, happy to be at each other’s sides after so long. They both internally wished the moment wouldn’t ever have to end, but eventually they ran out of ice cream and Taehyung received a call from Baekhyun about work just as Rosé got a text from Lisa about their meeting with their newly acquired hacker friend. They said their goodbyes, both of them trying to hide their sadness and longing from the other, neither one being very successful. Rosé thanked him and Taehyung thanked her back, pulling her into a bone crushing hug full of nothing but love and friendship. Then, without a further word they parted ways.
