D.O Kyungsoo slowly opened his eyes to a beautiful Saturday morning in EXO's Seoul dorm. He yawned, stretching for a moment, then rolling over to peer at the clock. 9:00am... His eyes widened. Usually, D.O was one of the first, if not the first to wake up, and made breakfast for his fellow members.

Speaking of members...He sat upright, ignoring the headache that had begun lightly drumming on his temples. D.O was the only one left in the room. 

He discarded the comfortable blankets, rising from his bed, peering at the one next to him, which belonged to Xiumin. Of course, it was empty. 

"Hyung, give it a rest, I didn't eat the rest of your cereal!" A loud protest could be heard from the kitchen, a voice that sounded like it belonged to Chanyeol. Another voice could be heard: "When I find out who did it I will give no mercy!" That was definitely Baek's. Laughter ensued. 

Kyungsoo winced at the aches he began to feel throughout his body as he got out of bed. When he stood up, a wave of dizziness came over him, making him grip the bed frame for support. 

When the room finally stopped spinning, he shivered, cautiously letting go of the frame, and slowly trudged in the direction of the kitchen, his legs feeling like weights. This was not going to be an easy day.

"Good morning.." He said weakly, praying that no one noticed a voice crack at the end of his sentence. 

Everyone gave their grunts of approval, most in the middle of eating. However, Suho was relaxing on the couch, already finished. The leader had a questioning look on his face as he stared at the late-to-rise member. He and Kyungsoo both knew that this time is abnormally late for him to be out and about...

D.O gave his hyung a fake, reassuring smile, and tried to act healthy. The last time that Kyungsoo would ever want to get sick is during the rare days the group has off, since it was one of their only true periods of freedom before being thrown back on a schedule... he didn't want anyone worrying about him and spending their time tending to him. He could get through this himself...

The sluggish idol was too exhausted to cook something nice, so he settled on some toast. As he waited next to the toaster oven, and observed the activities going on around him, everyone seemed thankfully preoccupied except for Kai, who was playing a game on his phone.

The toaster oven dinged, and D.O couldn't help but release a hoarse cough. Luckily, the commotion caused by the socially active group made it nearly inaudible. 

Kyungsoo grabbed his plate after pilling his bread on it, finding the only empty seat next to Kai, whom looked completely absorbed into what he was doing.

D.O began to nibble on his toast, taking small bites due to his lack of hunger. He then stopped, having only eaten about a quarter of his breakfast. The headache drummed harder now, throbbing, even. He couldn't help but hang his head a bit.

"What's wrong?"

The sick member jumped. "Y-You scared me, Jongin-ah...I thought you weren't paying attention..." the second half of his sentence was but above a mutter.

Kai turned off his phone, turning to him. "Are you alright?I know that you're usually the quiet one.. but I get the feeling that something's off." 

"It's nothing, I'm perfectly fine.." Kyungsoo managed, doing his very best not to shudder. "It's just nice to have some free time, some peace and quiet, not on a s-schedule."

Jongin chuckled. "I agree with you, except for the peace and quiet." He grinned, turning his head toward the living room, where the EXO-CBX members were doing a V live, with Sehun and Lay occasionally cutting in, or doing stuff in the background for humor purposes. "Sehunnie!!" Xiumin grinned. "Quit distracting us!" The maknae gave a sly look that spelled out "make me". 

Lay jumped out from behind the couch, snatching the recording phone from Chen's grasp, panning it on the two play-fighting members. "It's the battle of the century, guys!" He said in a deep, announcer's voice- "Our youngster has defied the elder! Who will win this battle for control?!" He snickered. Even Suho, whom had previously looked slightly somber, was clapping and smiling from cheek to cheek.

A uproar began in the living room, with a mix of pillow throwing, yelling, and extreme laughter. It was just another day in the EXO dorm, it seemed.

Jongin turned back to face his friend. "I'm tempted to join the chaos.." He joked. "How about you?"

Kyungsoo lightly smiled, but shook his head. He felt sicker by the minute.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Kai questioned.

"Yup. Just fine." He lied.

Jongin seemed satisfied with the answer, at least for now. He stood up and sprinted toward the commotion. 

Kyungsoo got up, this time with his legs shaking. His energy was draining at an alarming rate. 

He struggled to make his way back to his room, grasping onto various objects to assist him from dropping. 

He moaned, leaning against the wall. A cold sweat ran down his back. Was it really the best idea not to tell everyone? 

He was in the hallway that led to his room, when suddenly a different door opened. Chanyeol stepped out, a towel around his neck, his hair wet. dressed simply in sweatpants and a tank top. It didn't take him more than a second to realize that something was terribly wrong with D.O.

"Kyungsoo-ah!" He cried, running over to his friend's side. "What is it, you look miserable! What happened?!"

D.O's eyes grew extremely heavy as he pushed off of the wall. He groaned, not finding time to say something before his knees buckled.

The last thing he saw before blacking out was the terrified, shocked expression on Chanyeol's face, as he reached out to grab him.
