Iris Naya Arcadia is a 17 year old, African-American girl, who lives with her father in New York. For her whole life, it was only been the "Iris and Daddy" show, since her mother died during childbirth. Her father works at the LG US Headquarters in New Jersey as an Electronics Project Manager for the past 5 years. One day, Iris comes home from school and her father tells her that he got a promotion to the main LG Headquarters..... in South Korea. Recluctantly she follows her father, to a whole new world. At her new school, Shinhwa High, she can't help but to stand out. There she catches the attention of five boys, SHINee, specifically, the leader Onew. Will he be able to win her heart or crash and burn in the process?

Chapter 7: So, Onew and Jonghyun, huh? I see where this is going, I think.

At this point, something I really like about the story is that I can actually picture myself as Iris, because we share the same skin color and would, effect have similar experiences in such a homogenous country. I am going to Japan in a month and a half and am definitely gearing up for some staring and questions. Maybe hopefully, I'll also have a love story...? Lol, probably not, but heres to hoping!

Chapter 3: Ok, girlfriend, let me tell you:

I love this fic already. I know I am only in the beginning of it, but I was looking for a good read that was also ambw. I am black and not that I don't love me some good ol fashioned korean on korean love, it's just that sometimes I need a change of pace.

This was just what I was looking for.

And even better, it's SHINee, the first K-pop group I ever loved with so much force I could stop Superman.
