Song of the Chapter:  Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat

Mia’s POV

After Iris and I ordered our drinks, we sat down and waited for about ten minutes, and then her friends came.

“Guys, let me introduce to you, my best friend, Mia,” Iris said.

I looked up at the guys and my eyes quickly went towards the tallest one. Something about his eyes gave off a mysterious, charismatic (XD) to it, and I couldn’t move my gaze away. For some reason he did not look away either.

“Mia…Mia….. MIA,” Iris whisper-yelled.

“Huh yeah?” I replied.

“You're staring,” Iris whispered to me.

“Oh,” I replied and nervously chuckled. I look back up at the guy but his attention was focused on Iris.

“Ok so, this is Taemin Oppa, Key Oppa, Jonghyun Oppa, Onew Oppa, and Minho Oppa,” Iris said pointing to each of the guys.

Minho. That’s his name…

I shyly waved to the guys.

“Hello, it great to meet you. You’re very pretty,” Taemin said.

“It’s nice to meet you too. Hahha thanks,” I replied.

“You’ve got good fashion sense. I like you,” Key said.

“Thanks, I like to dress up and go shopping. I taught Iris all she knows about fashion,” I replied.

“That is very true,” Iris said and laughed.

The guy named Jonghyun walked up to me, picked up my hand and kissed it.

“You can call me Jonghyun and you bel-“

SMACK!

“HAHAHAHHAHHAHA,” Minho laughed.

Wow he has a really nice deep laugh…

“YAAAH! What was that for Iris?” Jonghyun said as he rubbed the back of his head.

“You tried that mess on me. I’m not going to let you do that with Mia,” Iris said.

“Hahahahahha.. Seriously? I wasn’t going to fall for that anyways,” I replied.

“Right……” Jonghyun said and winked at me.

“Anyways, I apologize for Jonghyun. So what do you like to do Mia?” Onew asked.

“Umm well besides shopping, I like sports. I may not look like the sporty type, but I like playing soccer and basketball,” I said.

“Interesting because Minho, over here, loves sports, especially those two,” Onew replied.

Really? Huh.

“Oh really? We have to play sometime,” I said.

“Well that can be arranged,” Minho replied.

Iris’s POV

Okay. THOSE TWO… There’s something going on and Mia never gets nervous around guys….unless.. hmmmm..

Now that I think about it, those two are pretty alike; from the love for sports and overly competitive spirits to the quiet like behaviors.

“Hey Onew, can I talk to you for a bit over here?” I whispered.

“Huh? Yeah,” Onew replied.

“Hey where are you guys going?” Taemin asked.

“Ummm.. we’re going to order some tea and muffins,” I replied and we walked towards the long line.

“Am I the only one who noticed the chemistry between Minho and Mia,” I said to Onew.

“No, I noticed it too. Minho’s hardly ever interested in girls like that,” Onew said as he turned around to observe Minho and Mia talking.

“But strangely, I guess it’s different with Mia,” Onew continued.

“Yeah it is…hmmm… We should set them up on a date,” I said.

I could easily trick Mia into going on a date….mwhahahahhaha… she’ll thank me later

“How would that work? Minho would find out,” Onew replied.

“We could go to the movies and ditch them there and….” I started off.

“And?” Onew questioned.

“Then they realize how much they like each other… and BAM! Our jobs are done,” I said feeling really accomplished.

“So when are we going to do this?” Onew asked.

“Hmm next Saturday,” I said.

Next Saturday :)

Onew’s POV

"Next Saturday," Iris said.

As Minho and I were walking home from the coffee shop, I turned to him.

“Minho?”

“Yeah Onew hyung?”

“So what did you think about Mia?” I asked.

“Hmmm… she seems cool,” Minho smoothly replied.

“Just cool… nothing else?” I asked.

“She is good looking… where are you going with this?” Minho asked me with a raised eyebrow.

“Nothing, It seemed like you were interested in her. That’s all,” I replied.

“Well I was surprised when she said that she liked to play soccer and basketball. Not many girls like to do that. She’s unique,” Minho said.

“So………” I started.

“So? Wait a minute, are you trying ask me do I like her?” Minho suspiciously asked.

“Of course, not,” I replied.

“Sure, becuase I instantly fall in love with other people, like someone over here,” Minho said.

“So what? I really like Iris and she will like me back…soon,” I said.

Hopefully she’ll like me back..

“Well you might want to work on that because Jonghyun already tried to kiss her,” Minho replied.

WHAT THE HELL?!?!

“WHAT?! He tried to k-k-k-kiss her?” I stuttered.

“Yes, but she pushed him away. He told me he’s going to try again soon,” Minho replied.

I wonder how long do I have before that happens… ughh

“So what are you going to do, hyung?” Minho asked.

 “I don’t know….ughhhhhhhhh,” I replied.

“Well figure it out and no setting me up with Mia,” Minho said and walked into his house.

This is soo frustrating… I don’t want to lose her to Jonghyun….

Buzz..buzz..Munja Wa Shong, Munja Wa Shong*… I got a text message

Hey Onew Oppa, I was wondering if you want to

meet at the park later, so we can work on our duet?

-2 Hours Later-

Iris’s POV

I made my way to the park with my guitar and I saw Onew sitting underneath a tree waiting for me.

“Onew Oppa!” I yelled.

“Oh, hey Iris. So you wanted to work on the duet?” Onew asked.

“Yeah, we need to start practicing now if we want to win, right?” I replied.

”That is true, so do you have any idea what to sing?” Onew questioned.

“Well I was listening to this song recently, it’s called Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. Have you heard of it?” I asked.

“Yeah, I have. I like it,” Onew replied and smiled.

“Okay let’s try it,” I said and picked up my guitar and started playing.

Onew looked at me and began to sing.

As I strummed the last few chords, Onew looked down at me. I felt my heart began to beat faster.

What is going on with me?

I looked back up at him. He looked like he was contemplating with himself then he put his gaze back at me and began to lean towards me. Unconsciously, my body began to lean towards him until I felt his lips on mine..
