Done with all the ridiculous anomalies she couldn't seem to escape that day, Taeyeon whipped out her cellphone and dialled the number. Crawling back under her covers, she held her phone to her ear and waited in anticipation as the ringing tune played on repeat in her ears. Her feet started to tap and her heart started to race, but there was still no answer. She continued to wait, and wait, and wait…

‘SEO!!!!’

Seohyun jumped and fell off the bed, crashing down on the piles of books she had sorted and stacked just a few minutes ago.

‘What?! Oh my gosh Tiff, you scared me!’ Seohyun groaned in pain and rubbed her elbows.

‘Oh , sorry!’ Tiffany ran to Seohyun’s side to help her up when she realised Seohyun had a small cut on her arm and it was starting to bleed slightly. Crap. Tiffany grabbed a plaster from Seohyun's bedside drawer and laid it gently on the wound.

‘Ugh…’ Seohyun groaned again, rubbing her shoulder this time, ‘what happened Tiff?’

Realisation hit Tiffany as she scrambled to show Seohyun her phone.

1 missed call: Taeyeon

‘Oh my god. I thought you cleared the conversation!’

‘I did! I swear I did! I deleted my number from her phone too! How is this happening?! Do you think she read the conversation before I cleared it?’

‘No, she would’ve called you before if she did. She must’ve written your number down somewhere before we erased their memories.’

Tiffany slapped her forehead.

‘Of course, how could I have forgotten? I gave her my number on a slip of paper. She must’ve kept it somewhere and just found it! Oh god, this is getting to be so complicated. How do I fix this, Seo?’

Bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz … 

Tiffany gripped Seohyun tightly.

‘It’s her again. What do I do?’ Tiffany’s voice was laced with intense urgency.

‘Um… Ignore it for now. We’ll figure out a way to sort this out. Just make sure you don’t give her your number if you see her in school tomorrow. Maybe you can get a new phone number?’ Seohyun suggested.

‘Sooyoung will get suspicious. I can’t change my phone as an excuse either, I just got this one. She’ll know something’s up. Can’t we erase Taeyeon's memory of the past 24 hours tomorrow in school?’
