Darin's Poem
My Light in the DarknessThat all changed when Taeyeon met Tiffany. She didn't know it yet, but Tiffany would help her to love herself more and more, to realise that she is not dispensable. Taeyeon shouldn't neglect Taeyeon.
'DONE!' Seohyun squealed and jumped out of her seat on the couch.
'Oh my god, Seo! You scared us!' Sooyoung had a hand gripped to her chest.
Looking around apologetically, Seohyun started to explain herself.
'I'm done translating the pages from High Priestess Darin's grimoire!'
'Really?! Come on, tell us what are the ingredients!' Sunny shrieked in anticipation, significantly raising the level of excitement in the room.
As if feeding off Sunny's energy, all eyes and grins immediately grew wider as the girls waited impatiently for Seohyun to speak.
'It's not explicit. I don't think Darin wanted someone doing the spell, but still felt compelled as a witch to record it down in her grimoire. That's why instead of writing the actual ingredients, she wrote a poem of clues for what we need to do the spell. It goes like this.'
Seohyun lifted the loose leaf paper she had written the translation on and started reading with a steady rhythm.
If you wish to close the gate of fire
The end you seek is noble but dire
I urge you to please think it twice
If you find your power alone will suffice
Let this be a last resort
Lest your whole life loses its firm support
Heed this warning loud and clear
You will lose what you hold dear
But if you choose this path to woo
This is what you have to do
Break the foundation of beast alike
And rob them where their hands are tied
Find the flame you feel within
And search for one that makes a din
Snatch a patch of fringe for show
And watch your fingers brightly glow
The next will come as a rare design
But just follow strict the payment line
Make sure they shimmer and sparkle today
Or the demons surely shall not go away
Be careful of danger wrapped in beauty
For it may stop you from your duty
Take what is asked as you measure and weigh
Exactly what you need and call it a day
A beast stands between you and your wish
So humbly bow and serve it your dish
Dull the sharpness and stop the bite
Before the beast puts up a fight
Run and make your great escape
Lest it grabs you by the nape
The last in
